The season is drawing to a close.

For many, it’s been a long and testing season of racing while many others have enjoyed great success and reached projected targets.

Yet there is one final chance to claim Group glory this weekend.

The Gr.1 $100,450 Australian Pacing Gold Brisbane Sales Graduate Pace 2yo Final this Saturday night at Albion Park is the final major event in the Sunshine State this season and its last opportunity for owners, breeders, trainers and drivers to land an elusive feature triumph.

But the money could be heading interstate.

The heat winners last week are both foreign raiders, For All We Know trained in Victoria by Brett Bunfield while Muscle Factory is prepared in Sydney by Shane and Lauren Tritton.

The latter set tongues wagging following his scintillating local debut, Muscle Factory rated 1:54.1 while finishing off his final split in 26.6 seconds and winning by an ever expanding margin.

Muscle Factory was significantly quicker than For All We Know (1:58.5) and looked a lot more comfortable in the process.

However, the fillies have preferential draw advantage meaning Muscle Factory must overcome the outside draw, gate 7 in the 1660m feature.

But Racing Queensland form analyst Darren Clayton believes it means little given the effort of Muscle Factory last week.

Since he stepped out on the track, this guy has had a bit of a presence. Still very much learning his trade, his potential has arguably been matched by his immaturity. At times he looks like he is still yet to know where his legs are meant to be and how fast he needs to be running, the fact that he has achieved what he to date speaks volumes of the ability and talent he possesses.” Clayton said.

Gambling giant UBET went up $1.15 on the star colt and with that quickly snapped up, he has firmed to $1.10.

So, with Muscle Factory looking to already have his number in the frame, punters need to look to the exotics on how to attack the race.

So what’s the best way for punters to play?

“If Muscle Factory was not in the field, the Brett Bunfield trained For All We Know would be the clear favourite. She draws well in gate 2 and has the speed to be first to the pegs and stretched arguably Queensland’s best two-year old Smart As Camm Be in the recent Triad Final.

“Miss Moneybags will be tightened from her heat when second-up from a break. The Paleface Adios Classic winner takes on her third Group 1 for the season and will get the perfect trail along the pegs.

“Timeless Appeal is a filly that is progressing nicely through the season. Given a break after a luckless run in the Breeders Classic where she struck trouble, her return run had merit behind Smart As Camm Be when 3rd in the Triad Final and then best of the chasing pack behind Muscle Factory in the heat last week, she appeals as a value runner to fill 3rd. From the gate she will follow out For All We Know and should be able to settle in a handy position and at a current quote of $11 with UBET to place, that looks good value. My verdict is look at a Trifecta: 7 / 2 / 1-9 while having something on Timeless Appeal to place.”

The two-year-old feature is race 7 on the program, listed to start at 8.10pm local time.
