RACE TWO

ITS MAJOR RICH (1) started off the 2nd line at his race debut last time out when angled away from the pegs early to work into the contest. Not too far off them, it was a solid 1st visit to the track, and he will strip fitter having not trialled locally in preparation. From the gate he looks the one.

RINGOS A STAR (3) was kept out of any early speed last start when on debut and soon positioned 4 back on the poles after starting from gate 2. Running home soundly in the closing stages, it had followed a pair of tidy preparatory trials and with the small field can improve further.

HAPPY PUBLICANS (4) started from gate 6 last time out when doing some work in the run to find a position. Sticking on gamely in the latter stages when within 3m of the winner, he will be in for the fight again here.

SELECTIONS: ITS MAJOR RICH (1), RINGOS A STAR (3), HAPPY PUBLICANS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ITS MAJOR RICH (1) to win

RACE THREE

SKYLINE (7) is in great touch with 3 wins in his past 5 outings. Starting from this tape last time out, he was sent to the breeze and rolling the sleeves was able to fight them off in scoring a smart win. Luckless the start prior when locked away under mobile conditions, he can take the step up to take this.

JUSTABITLIKEMUM (1) was back in the pack in transit last start when eating into the deficit in the closing stages to be within 5m of the winner SKYLINE. Starting off the 10m tape in that contest, the return to the front tape off the inside lane is a big plus here and she will get the perfect trip.

IL PIRATA (8) backs up from Sat night where he was sent forward from the 10m tape to cut the breeze. In for the fight to finish mid-field behind WEE MAN TROUBLE, he looks well placed in this company.

MATATOKI (2) sat in the pocket trail from gate 1 last start under mobile conditions but couldn’t go with the leader and winner GREG THE GREAT who carved out a new track record. This looks more suitable and he can feature.

SELECTIONS: SKYLINE (7), JUSTABITLIKEMUM (1), IL PIRATA (8), MATATOKI (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

DINA BOLT (3)
has faced the starter twice in Qld and twice has been forced to settle for the bronze after starting at tomato sauce odds. Eased from gate 7 here on Friday when 7m from the winner NOTORIOUS, he was forced to grind the 2138m when 1st up. With the added fitness and improved gate, he looks set to get his chance.

STANLEY ROSS ROBYN (4) will step out in Qld for the 1st time this campaign, arriving following a last start mid-field finish behind FIRST STRING over the Menangle mile. Winless for over 2 years now, he has placed in 2 previous attempts here at The Creek and has podium claims in this.

RUN BOY RUN (6) will strip fitter following his latest appearance when 1st up from a break. Holding the pocket trail, his condition peaked late in a slick last panel. He can be chiming in here.

ALE ALE KAI (1) is running home in smart sectionals but just can’t get the right conditions to land a blow. Only 5m from STOMPEM last start when closing strongly, she has the gate to be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: DINA BOLT (3), STANLEY ROSS ROBYN (4), RUN BOY RUN (6), ALE ALE KAI (1)
SUGGESTED BET: DINA BOLT (3) to win

RACE FIVE

CRUNCH TIME (2) set all the speed here last week out in front by himself in a power running display, only to be grabbed in the closing stages. That followed an all the way effort in smashing the age track record at Redcliffe. He can atone for the disappointment of being grabbed late after the big mile last week to take them all the way.

PARAVANI (8) is in nice touch since returning from a spell and a stable switch with his 1st 2 runs back suggesting a win was in store. Capitalising from the pocket trail here 2 starts back, he finished best to claim a tidy 3m victory. Chasing home from the pegs last start, he will again be probing for gaps.

NURBURGRING (7) was 2nd up in Qld last start, following a tough 1st up effort in the breeze to be a half-head away from the winner. Making the most of the pocket trail to arrive in a sizzling mile last start, the gate is a stinger with the power drawn in tight.

HAVING THE FAITH (1) was trying to get into the contest in the closing stages last start when 3m in arrears of the winner. A beaten fav the start prior, he can be looking for the lane to chime in.

SELECTIONS: CRUNCH TIME (2), PARAVANI (8), NURBURGRING (7), HAVING THE FAITH (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CRUNCH TIME (2) to win

RACE SIX

Hitting a real purple patch late in the ‘regular’ season WESTERN SHOWGIRL (9) might have just found the right conditions to add another to the tally here. Snagging back from the six-hole last start, she was attacking the line with gusto to grab the silver behind the in-form FOUR STARZZZ FORSA. Forget the Marburg run 2 back, that was preceded by a threepeat of wins and she can add another.

PIN CODE (8) was sent to the breeze over the Redcliffe sprint trip last start with the effort taking a toll in the closing stages when fading out. Runner-up 3 starts back when a half-neck in arrears of the winner BONNIES CAM, that was followed with an all the way win. She will need a slice of luck.

BLACKJEWEL (1) tried to take them all the way from the ace last start at Redcliffe but could not see it out when fading in the closing stages. Tough in the breeze for 2nd the start prior, she is a podium hope.

ABERCROMBIE TAB (3) eased from gate 5 last start to settle back in the pack before working home late to be 7m from the winner SIGNOR JUJON. Placed in 5 of 9 here at The Creek, he can add to that.

SELECTIONS: WESTERN SHOWGIRL (9), PIN CODE (8), BLACKJEWEL (1), ABERCROMBIE TAB (3)
SUGGESTED BET: WESTERN SHOWGIRL (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

ONE CHANGE (6) makes hi 1st appearance in Qld under race conditions with the star 3YO colt arriving with a superb record. Yet to miss a cheque in 14 outings, he was runner-up last start to COPY THAT and the start prior was 3rd to AMAZING DREAM in the Great Northern Derby. With a tidy trial to open the pipes, this is a stiff test 1st up but his class can get him home.

CLARRY (3) eased from gate 4 last start to find the running line before closing out in nice style to be 2m in arrears of the winner STOMPEM. Hitting the line strongly the start prior when within 5m of the subsequent winner SECRETAGENT TYCOON, he can settle close to the action and look to exploit any fitness queries of the favourite.

APHORISM (1) retreated to find position from gate 3 last start and was soon buried back in the pack and hoping for some peg-line luck. Closing hard to be 2m away, he will get the soft trip here to chime in once again.

WHISKY BLAZE (8) will be further tightened from his latest outing when 2nd up from a break. Snagging back from gate 7, he settled back in the pack before closing strongly to grab the silver. With the easy trip, he will be probing for openings to make start 100 memorable.

SELECTIONS: ONE CHANGE (6), CLARRY (3), APHORISM (1), WHISKY BLAZE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 6 / 1-3-8

RACE EIGHT

STOMPEM (2) made the most of gate 1 over this trip 4 starts back when keeping them wide out of the machine and then taking them all the way to claim an overdue win. Not much was in his favour at his next 2 appearances before cashing in last start when arriving over the top. From the gate, he can look to dictate.

SMOOTH SAILOR (1) will be 1st up back in Qld and has joined the Scott Hewitt barn following his latest start in NSW. Not too far behind FIRST STRING at Menangle 2 starts back, he was back in the filed last start over the 2300m trip. Tucked in behind suits and he can strike in the stretch.

DEECAESAR (11) was working home wide off the track here on Saturday night and made a good closing impression when 5m in arrears of the winner ELMS CREEK. The gate stings again, but he will be in for the fight.

DYNAMIC BROMAC (7) eased from this gate last time out and was trying to thread a passage when closing out in a strong last 800m sectional. Working home wide out from gate 12 the start prior, look for him late.

SELECTIONS: STOMPEM (2), SMOOTH SAILOR (1), DEECAESAR (11), DYNAMIC BROMAC (7)
SUGGESTED BET: STOMPEM (2) to win

RACE NINE

HELLO ITS ME (4) is a 5YO mare facing the race starter for the 1st occasion since crossing the dutch from the North Island. Runner-up at her last appearance over 2200m at Cambridge, her 1st outing at the trials for Melissa Gillies was a tidy effort when not extended from back in the field. This looks a winnable contest 1st up.

LITTLELIONELJAMES (12) has the wide gates as a result of some poor starting manners in recent times but his runs have been full of merit. Settling in the running line from this gate last time out, he was sound to the line when mid-field. He will need tempo in his favour, but he can launch a claim.

THE RAGNBONE MAN (3) is not far off another win in the right company after placings at his past 4 in succession. Runner-up to MAJOR FERNCO 2 starts back, the distance looks the major concern.

COPPICE (7) was attacking the line strongly from a long way back here 2 starts back to grab the silver when 1.5m from the winner. Mid-field here on Friday, the wide gate does him no favours.

SELECTIONS: HELLO ITS ME (4), LITTLELIONELJAMES (12), THE RAGNBONE MAN (3), COPPICE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HELLO ITS ME (4) to win

RACE TEN

BLACK HAWK JOE (3) was a winner over the 2138m here 3 starts back when responsible for a big effort after striking trouble yet still taking control through the middle stages and fighting them off to score. An error cost him last start but from this alley, if he can stay clean in his gait, they will struggle to gun him down.

FOUR STARZZZ FORSA (9) has flourished since joining forces with Dean Cernovskis, generously aided by the NR system in his favour. Unbeaten here at The Creek where he has been able to lead all the way in all 3 of his appearances, he will be chasing here but the strength of his wins can see him in the mix.

MAJOR FERNCO (8) made a perfect start to his Qld career when taking them all the way over the mile in claiming a smart win. The gate makes it tricky, but if he can see open space can throw down a serious challenge.

ONYA DOUG (5) was a nice winner 1st up when returning from a long break, finishing over the top of them to arrive for the prize. Back in the pack last start when looking for short-cuts, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: BLACK HAWK JOE (3), FOUR STARZZZ FORSA (9), MAJOR FERNCO (8), ONYA DOUG (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BLACK HAWK JOE (3) to win
