RACE TWO

VALOROSO HANOVER (1) settled in the 1x1 trail last start over this trip but couldn’t go with them in the closing stages as HIPSTAR proved too strong. Forget his run the start prior when the white flag was hoisted after a torrid trip as AT WEST POINT obliterated the track record. From the ace in this line-up, he gets his chance to dictate.

ARBIT MAJOR (7) chalked up another minor placing last start, stretching his remarkable record since joining the Donny Smith barn to a top-3 in 17 of 20 appearances. From back in the field he was closing strongly to get within a half-neck of the winner ELMS CREEK. He will be ready for the snipers shot.

ELMS CREEK (5) snagged back from gate 5 last start over the 2040m to sit near the rear. Making a wide and searching run, he had bullets to fire in claiming a narrow victory. He will be steaming home once again.

SHOWEM SIMON (4) has been runner-up in 3 of his past 4 starts on this track, the latest when working home strongly from gate 6 to be within 2m of TUAPEKA LIGHT. He will be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: VALOROSO HANOVER (1), ARBIT MAJOR (7), ELMS CREEK (5), SHOWEM SIMON (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

SIRIUS VICKI (7) is effective when saved for a closing shot and following a good beginner looks set to receive optimum conditions here. A winner over this trip 3 starts back when powering home to arrive at this distance, she has been close up at her past 2. In the sniper’s seat, she can pull the trigger.

MADAMOISELLE JUJON (9) has stepped it up at each appearance this season, completing the hat-trick last start from just 4 attempts. Settling outside the leader, it was a dominant win when powering home to claim the win with a sharp closing 800m. Despite the tough gate, she can throw it down.

IMPRESSIVE DIAMOND (1) was facing a task last start from back in the pack to chase them down as the leader and winner set it up for those at the front. Only beaten a neck here 3 starts back, she will be looking to hustle early to protect the poles.

ONLY IN ROME (6) pressed forward to face the breeze last start when working hard in the run behind AQUA CRUISER, only fading the closing stages. He might need to roll the sleeves again but can be in for the fight.

SELECTIONS: SIRIUS VICKI (7), MADAMOISELLE JUJON (9), IMPRESSIVE DIAMOND (1), ONLY IN ROME (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SIRIUS VICKI (7) to win

RACE FOUR

GOJOE (3)
made his debut as a 4YO and was proving a source of frustration which saw him go for a break. Resuming here over the 1780m he looked to have found the perfect conditions to break the maiden and he duly opened the account. Powering home over the top last time, he can dictate to make it 3 from 4 since resuming.

SIGNORINA JUJON (1) didn’t have the early power to get across last start and was forced to race tough thereafter. Fighting gamely to hold the bronze when within 2m of the winner BIG IN AMERICA, she looks set for the ideal trail here and can be ready to make the closing play.

STONE CRACKER (5) has been consistent since arriving in Qld, adding another minor to the tally last start to record his 4th successive 3rd placed finish. The wide gate stings, but he can be thereabouts.

RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (7) loves a passing lane play after sitting in behind and should secure those conditions here. Grabbing the silver here 2 starts back from gate 1, he will be searching for the lane.

SELECTIONS: GOJOE (3), SIGNORINA JUJON (1), STONE CRACKER (5), RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: GOJOE (3) to win

RACE FIVE

This looks a tricky race to open the quaddie where legitimate cases could be made for quite a few in this field. Leaning to CAPITALIZE (5) despite the wide gate with early position and tempo all important. Making the most of gate 1 to lead throughout here 2 starts back when 3rd up from a 16 month break, he was luckless last time when probing for open space that didn’t arrive in time.

MUCHO GUAPA (8) was a winner from this gate 4 starts back when powering over the top late to claim the prize. Not far away in the 3 starts since that win, she was a beaten fav last time out when wide off the track trying to chase down the leader and winner. With the right trip, she can challenge.

GETALOADATHISGIRL (2) is yet to miss a cheque in 5 attempts here at the Peninsula, the latest a nice win after sprinting sharply along the passing lane once the gaps opened to score. The podium beckons once again.

PATCHWORK JET (1) worked in the early stages last start prior to receiving cover but couldn’t finish it off. With the benefit of an economical trip from this gate, look for him in the closing stages.

SELECTIONS: CAPITALIZE (5), MUCHO GUAPA (8), GETALOADATHISGIRL (2), PATCHWORK JET (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPITALIZE (5) to win

RACE SIX

MOONLIGHT BUTCHER (7) will be relying on some factors in his favour here, but with the chance to tuck into the trail will get the perfect trip. Only 2m from the winner ROCKNTINGIRA here 4 starts back, he was then only a half-head away from SOMEHOWSOMEWAY. He can make the closing shot a winning one.

WEASEL (9) keeps on keeping on and has not been too far away in the 4 starts since he claimed victory here 5 runs back. Easing from gate 5 last start, he was making some ground in the latter stages. Needing to work wide at some stage here, he can be making a closing challenge.

TACTFILLY MAGIC (2) eased into the running line from gate 3 here last start when closing nicely to grab the silver behind BARBOO. Striking trouble, the start prior, she is a place chance from the gate.

WHATA STRIDE (3) started from the 2nd line last start when searching for short-cuts was able to find some space to grab the bronze. From an improved gate, she can be in the mix once again.

SELECTIONS: MOONLIGHT BUTCHER (7), WEASEL (9), TACTFILLY MAGIC (2), WHATA STRIDE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MOONLIGHT BUTCHER (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

MANOFLISA (2) hit the line strongly last start when sweeping on by to claim a comfortable 14m victory over this trip. Only beaten a pimple the start prior after settling in the pocket trail, this a shade tougher but from the good gate can settle handy to the speed and looks to get a chance.

CARIBBEAN ROCKET (3) squeezed into the pocket trail last start but then didn’t have much to offer in the closing stages when mid-field behind ARMA AUGUSTUS. Placed at his precious 3 in succession, he can look to fire the early shots out of the gate as he looks for his 1st Qld success.

WILLSINTOWN (5) secured the perfect trip last start from inside the 2nd line when making a late dive to get within a head of victory. Buried away the start prior, he might just be able to get across from the wide gate and would be a place chance under that scenario.

WHATA REACTOR (8) found the 1x1 trail last start from the 2nd line and worked home soundly to hold 3rd behind ARMA AUGUSTUS. With a similar trip from this gate, she can again land in the money.

SELECTIONS: MANOFLISA (2), CARIBBEAN ROCKET (3), WILLSINTOWN (5), WHATA REACTOR (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

TASCOTT TERROR (1) was keen here last week over this trip and gave the driver a torrid trip. Eventually working to face the breeze, she was in for the fight and went down swinging when beaten a half-neck, nabbed right on the wire by ALLY PINK. With the benefit of the ace, she will get a chance to look for a dictating win.

MYKINDOFFEELING (9) has been to the track on 4 occasions which have returned 3 placings. Sent forward in the early stages from gate 10 over the AP mile, she was in for the fight when holding on for 2nd. Chasing home for the bronze behind the subsequent winner GOJOE last start, she might need to work but looks up to the challenge.

ELSIES GIRL (3) could not go with them last start from a 2nd line gate when finishing down the line behind ALLY PINK. With an improved gate, she might just find space to squeeze into a spot and that would greatly aid her chances.

DUCHESS DOWNUNDER (4) was buried in the run last start from inside the 2nd line when chasing late to grab 4th. Gate 4 looks a sticky alley in this line-up and positioning cheaply will be key to her place hopes.

SELECTIONS: TASCOTT TERROR (1), MYKINDOFFEELING (9), ELSIES GIRL (3), DUCHESS DOWNUNDER (4)
SUGGESTED BET Exotics 1-3-4-9

RACE NINE

TYPHOON TORQUE (3) has the hoof on the ‘till as she looks for a maiden breaking victory, having placed at her past 3 in succession. Finding the poles prior to releasing last start, she held on for the bronze behind the winner AUNTY BELLA. Runner-up after a tough run 2 starts back, this looks her chance to open the account.

MELTON INSULTED (1) has placed in 3 of her 10 starts with this looking the right gate for this contest. Mid-field last start in the Triad Consolation behind AUNTY BELLA, she closed nicely 3 starts back over the AP mile 3 starts back behind that same winner. The inside gate here on the triangle suits.

STAR KISSER (2) has been to the track on just one occasion, returning a tough 2nd after doing all the work in the run and battling gamely when within 2m of the winner. Kept fresh since that appearance, she can feature again.

UGOTTAWANTIT (4) has placed in 2 of his past 4 attempts here at Redcliffe, the latest when chasing for 3rd behind the impressive winner CAPTAIN CRUSADER. The gate looks a bit tricky, but back to this company should suit.

SELECTIONS: TYPHOON TORQUE (3), MELTON INSULTED (1), STAR KISSER (2), UGOTTAWANTIT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: TYPHOON TORQUE (3) to win
