RACE TWO

CROWNING GLORY (4) tackled the AP mile last start when releasing the speed to the winner and subsequent winner KEY LARGO. Buried away the start prior as AT WEST POINT carved out a sizzling 1.51 mile the start prior. With early speed he can fire the first shots here and in an open contest this is within reach.

TAYLOR HOOD (6) started from the 2nd line over the 2040m last start and was facing a task as all the tempo was set for a closing blitz. Gunned down the start prior after setting the tempo over the 2040m, he has no favours from the wide gate but can look to challenge against this line-up.

COULDNTBETOLD (8) made the most of gate 1 here 2 starts back over the sprint trip when pressing ahead to take control. Fading out last start after leading, he can get a nice trip here to chime in.

LA SAFRON (2) struck trouble in the latter stages over the 2040m here 2 starts back when stepping out in Qld for the 1st time. Trying to make late ground last start, he lands the gate to be prominent.

SELECTIONS: CROWNING GLORY (4), TAYLOR HOOD (6), COULDNTBETOLD (8), LA SAFRON (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

CHROMOZONE (2) was a winner in similar company here 3 starts back when taking control from this same alley and cruising home to score an untroubled victory. Working from wider gates at her past 2 to get forward before fading in the latter stages, the improved alley is a big plus and she can dictate.

BRONSKI MACARENA (8) was a winner here 5 starts back when finishing over the top of them in the closing stages over the sprint trip. Not too far away at her next 2 over the 2040m, she has been runner-up at her past 2 runs back at the sprint trip, the latest only beaten a head. She can challenge.

ALL GOOD WALLY (4) was working home wide off the track last start when 8m in arrears of the winner GUTS. That followed a similar wide-searching closing sprint and settling closer has claims.

SHADYS DELIGHT (6) claimed the bronze at Marburg last start after being shuffled back in the running line. That followed a nice win here from inside the 2nd line and he has claims despite the gate.

SELECTIONS: CHROMOZONE (2), BRONSKI MACARENA (8), ALL GOOD WALLY (4), SHADYS DELIGHT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CHROMOZONE (2) to win

RACE FOUR

MISSINEMEMATE (3)
backs up from a 2nd division qualifier on Saturday night where he drew outside the 2nd line over his less preferred 2138m trip. Closing nicely along the passing lane 2 starts back over the 2040m, the return to the sprint trip is in his favour and he looks to get his chance here.

VALOROSO HANOVER (9) does not receive any favours from the tough gate here but the opportunity to drive him a little quitter might just work in his favour. Working hard in the run at each of his recent starts, he was within 7m of ELMS CREEK last start. Look for him making a challenge.

SUBTLE ADVICE (2) held the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line here 2 starts back and chased valiantly for the bronze behind subsequent winner ROCKNROLL DUDE. Settling close, he is in the mix.

TRUNKEY DIGGER (6) resumes from a break after being put away after a handy effort last start when wide off the track that didn’t net a return for the effort. The gate stings, but she can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: MISSINEMEMATE (3), VALOROSO HANOVER (9), SUBTLE ADVICE (2), TRUNKEY DIGGER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MISSINEMEMATE (3) to win

RACE FIVE

WHATA CHALLENGE (2) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon shuffled 3 back along the poles and requiring plenty of luck as ALWAYS AT NIGHT took control to score. Not really suited at Marburg the start prior, he looks to strike suitable conditions here to land the loot.

ALWAYS AT NIGHT (5) worked forward from gate 5 here 2 starts back over the 1780m to take control and once in front held on for an easy 6m victory. Working home wide off the track over the 2040m here last start, he was making a closing challenge when only a neck in arrears. He can go close again.

TEARAWAY DIAMOND (9) was not comfortable at all last start and after making errors in the run was banished to the trial. Earning the return with a pair of tidy trial hit-outs, he is a place hope.

IMA BEACH BABE (7) had an early look last start in mares company but couldn’t work into the contest n the closing stages. Not too far away 2 starts back when resuming from a break behind BUKTHSYSTEM, the cosy trip will suit.

SELECTIONS: WHATA CHALLENGE (2), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (5), TEARAWAY DIAMOND (9), IMA BEACH BABE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-5-7-9

RACE SIX

SIXPENNY RED (3) was best of the chasers behind the in-form WESTERN SHOWGIRL here 4 starts back when having her 1st run following a stable switch to the Graham Dwyer yard. Striking trouble at her next 2 runs, her run last start had merit when working in the run. Back into the draw, she looks to have found the right race here.

BONNIES CAM (8) is in search of the hat-trick after wins at Marburg and then here on the triangle at his past 2. Both wins have been when leading throughout, the latest where the form has been franked with 2 of the beaten brigade having already been successful since. Despite the 2nd line, he can throw it down again.

COUNTRY RUN (9) was not suited last start at Marburg after an early look for the lamp-lighting duties and he faded late after the early burn. Racing tough the start prior, he can be chiming in late here.

TACTFILLY MAGIC (4) did not have a lot of luck last start when looking for some open space that did not arrive in time. Only beaten a head the start prior in a blanket finish, she has podium hopes.

SELECTIONS: SIXPENNY RED (3), BONNIES CAM (8), COUNTRY RUN (9), TACTFILLY MAGIC (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SIXPENNY RED (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

CHRISKEN COUNTRY (7) is yet to open her Qld account and while needing some factors in her favour, looks to have found the right race. Back in the pack last start from gate 4 and chasing, her run 2 starts back along the inside had merit behind JACKBKWIK. She can take the snipers shot.

THE LAST STARFIRE (1) faded last start when buried on the pegs and could not go with them when the speed went on. Grabbed in the closing stages at Redcliffe 3 starts back when setting the tempo, he can look to take early control here and will be trying to fight them off in the stretch.

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (8) beat herself here 2 starts back when keen in behind the leader who was walking them and then she lost momentum when required. A Marburg winner 3 starts back, she can swoop late in this.

WATYOUSEEISWATUGET (9) was snagged back to find the pegs and look for the short-cuts last start when chiming in late to grab the bronze. A winner here 3 starts back, she will not be far away.

SELECTIONS: CHRISKEN COUNTRY (7), THE LAST STARFIRE (1), WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (8), WATYOUSEEISWATUGET (9)
SUGGESTED BET: CHRISKEN COUNTRY (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

HURRIKANE SPECIAL (1) was forced to do early work last start from gate 5 and the efforts took their toll as she faded in the closing stages. Luckless when retreating from a wide gate at Marburg the start prior, she lands the options from this gate and in this line-up looks to get every chance for her 3rd victory.

GLENCOE REIGN (6) broke through here 3 starts back when working home wide off the track to claim a narrow victory. Runner-up at his next appearance, he was not suited last start at Marburg when retreating from a wide gate. He only needs an even amount of luck to throw down a big challenge here.

MANOFLISA (9) finished over the top of them here 3 starts back at this trip, cruising on by to claim a big 14m victory. Not too far away in his 2 outings since that win, if the tempo is right, he can arrive once again.

GROOVY MISS ANNIE (5) tried to take them all the way last start from gate 1 when resuming from a spell at her 1st run since returning to the Peter Greig barn. Grabbed in the closing stages, she can chime in again here.

SELECTIONS: HURRIKANE SPECIAL (1), GLENCOE REIGN (6), MANOFLISA (9), GROOVY MISS ANNIE (5)
SUGGESTED BET:
