RACE TWO

SEA HAWKE (7) will take further benefit from his latest run when 2nd up from a spell since returning for his 3YO term. Rolling forward to find the front over the 2040m at Redcliffe he was fighting hard to finish 3m from the winner MONATANA CHIEF. The gate hurts but he is worth a chance in this.

HALF MOON BEACH (1) will be stepping out for just the 2nd time following his career debut at Marburg back on Nov 25. He was well tried in the market on that occasion and after a 1st panel burn faded late behind MONTANA CHIEF. With the race experience he can improve again here.

IFYOUBELIEVE (6) looked to take them all the way here 2 starts back and led everywhere bar the wire to go under a head. This is no harder than that outing and he has claims.

MAJOR SLIP UP (3) has started just twice with both of those runs at Marburg, with the latest a tidy effort after being locked away on the pegs. With further improvement he has podium hopes

SELECTIONS: SEA HAWKE (7), HALF MOON BEACH (1), IFYOUBELIEVE (6), MAJOR SLIP UP (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SEA HAWKE (7) to win

RACE THREE

CC JONES (5) is yet to win in Qld and this looks to be D-Day for him. This will be the easiest line-up he has faced on the bigger AP oval where he looks to be better suited. His run from the trail 2 starts back behind FAME ASSURED was a tidy effort and if able to limit the work he should be taking this.

REGAL NIGHTSHADE (3) worked hard in the middle stages last start when circling the field to get to the breeze over the mile and then fought on to finish mid-field. That followed a run in a much stronger contest and with the chance he is 1st to the pegs he can give this a shake.

KEARNEY LANE (4) didn’t have the cleanest passage 2 starts back and then last start from gate 5 over the mile was finding the line strongly to grab 2nd. With the right trail she can feature.

VINNIE THE POET (11) was given a tough run here 2 starts back and the effort told when fading off in the latter stages. Buried in the run last time at Redcliffe he has place claims in this from the gate.

SELECTIONS: CC JONES (5), REGAL NIGHTSHADE (3), KEARNEY LANE (4), VINNIE THE POET (11)
SUGGESTED BET: CC JONES (5) to win

RACE FOUR

LITTLE BOLT (8)
will need plenty of favours in the run, but if the factors work in his favour he can look to capitalise. After returning a nice trial to prepare for his 3YO term, he franked that effort by winning 1st up in good fashion at Marburg. Fitter for the run he is worth a chance.

HIPSTAR (9) resumes for his 3YO term following a 7 start 2YO season that realised a win and 3 placings in 7 outings. His season was shut down following a nice 3rd in the Triad final when following the pegs into 3rd behind FIRST STRING. With a nice trial to open the pipes, he is right in this.

SIGNORINA JUJON (5) will take benefit from her latest outing when finding the line in good style to grab 3rd behind TAXI METER. The gate makes it tricky but she can be thereabouts with the right run.

PERFECT FEELING (1) made an error at his race debut when mid-field behind LITTLE BOLT. He should take some experience from the outing and from the good gate has place claims.

SELECTIONS: LITTLE BOLT (8), HIPSTAR (9), SIGNORINA JUJON (5), PERFECT FEELING (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

JUMPING JOLT (6) will strip fitter from his latest run when 1st up in Qld and making his 1st race appearance since July. With some tidy efforts in Vic prior to arriving he was able to get a nice trip over the 2200m at Marburg and force into space to score. The gate hurts but this is within reach.

ONE MANS PASS (1) was tough from the breeze when throwing down a challenge and falling 1.5m short over the 2040m at Redcliffe 4 starts back. Last start he was 9m from the winner after using the passing lane which is probably not his best option. Hustling early he can feature.

LURAH (2) was a winner at her Qld debut to end a long run of outs when taking them all the way at Marburg 3 starts back. Below her best at her next 2, she gets the chance to find the pegs which suits.

DRIVE THE DREAM (7) was a winner on the grass at Kilcoy 2 starts back when finishing best to score. Holding on for the bronze last start behind TED WEST from the trail she can be a factor in this.

SELECTIONS: JUMPING JOLT (6), ONE MANS PASS (1), DRIVE THE DREAM (7), LURAH (2),
SUGGESTED BET: JUMPING JOLT (6) to win

RACE SIX

BLINGITTOTHEMAX (2)
will be 3rd up from a break and gets into this on a big class drop which puts everything in his favour. 3rd when resuming 2 starts back via the passing lane behind THE BOYS GNP, he was just too far back in the run last start. With good early speed he can find the pegs and cash-in.

DOMESTIC ART (1) looked to take them all the way at Marburg last start when firing out from the middle of the line to take up the running before being gunned down in the closing stages by TAKITIMU EXPRESS. With the benefit of the cosy trip he will be ready to strike in the stretch.

OMINOUS FLYER (4) has had 3 runs back from a spell and been runner-up in all 3. Locked away and never seeing space last start at Marburg he was never tested. He will be in the mix again here.

JACKS GAMBIT (8) rolled forward from gate 7 last start and was fighting hard to the line from the breeze to hold on for the silver behind TRAIN WRECK. With a softer trip here he has place claims.

SELECTIONS: BLINGITTOTHEMAX (2), DOMESTIC ART (1), OMINOUS FLYER (4), JACKS GAMBIT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BLINGITTITHEMAX (2),

RACE SEVEN

MAGOOGAN (2) worked hard in the run when facing the breeze from gate 6 and fighting on gamely 3 starts back. Buried in the run at his next start he was hitting the line in good style behind PARISIAN ROCKSTAR and last start was again strong to the line. Back to the front line he gets his chance.

ANOTHER BROADWAY (8) was finding the line nicely last start in a stronger contest than this when only 4m from the winner CANKICKATARGET. That followed a tough run behind the smart mare ELENIARK and despite the 2138m not his best trip, he can challenge in this line up.

ELMAUR JOY (4) has been freshened since her last outing when forced to race tough in the breeze. She does her best work in front and although no lead looking available in this she has place hopes.

MACHIN OUT (6) was snagged back from gate 6 last start and tried to work home but the tempo was against him when too far back. He found the line nicely 2 starts back and will be swooping late.

SELECTIONS: MAGOOGAN (2), ANOTHER BROADWAY (8), ELMAUR JOY (4), MACHIN OUT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MAGOOGAN (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

OASIS DREAM (5)
should appreciate this class of contest after placing in his past 2 in stronger line-ups. Last start from the trail he chased gamely behind the leader and winner TOM ME GUN who set a slick closing 800m section. Winless for over 12 months, this looks his chance to breakthrough.

CHARMING MAJOR (3) struck trouble at his Qld debut and his race was ended with a gait break. He found the line strongly at Newcastle 2 starts back when resuming from a spell and getting back to the mile here with the added fitness can see him return a much sharper effort.

GOTOTHEMOON (4) has placed his past 2 starts and is starting to show steady improvement after taking a while to put it all together. He found the line nicely last start and can place again.

CONCENTRATION (10) did plenty of work in the run last start and can be forgiven for the effort after fading out. A Redcliffe winner from the pocket trail 2 starts back he has some hopes in this.

SELECTIONS: OASIS DREAM (5), CHARMING MAJOR (3), GOTOTHEMOON (4), CONCENTRATION (10)
SUGGESTED BET: OASIS DREAM (5) to win

RACE NINE

MAKOA (2)
did plenty of work in the run over the sprint trip at Redcliffe 3 starts back and was fighting to the line when 1m from the winner KEY LARGO. Luckless at his next start when probing for a gap that didn’t open he can make the most of the return to a front line gate and capitalise in this.

OFFICIANADO (3) was buried in the run at Marburg last start and was never going to feature with the leader and winner dictating in front. He has faced some tough gates in recent starts and with the improved alley look for him returning a much sharper effort and challenging.

MISTER JOGALONG (5) has been freshened since his last appearance when a beaten fav, trying to work into the contest in the closing stages. He should appreciate his 1st look at AP and can feature.

RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (10) resumes from a break without a public trial but should find this easier than what he had been meeting. 7m from NONE BETTOR 3 starts back he will be running on late.

SELECTIONS: MAKOA (2), OFFICIANADO (3), MISTER JOGALONG (5), RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (10)
SUGGESTED BET: MAKOA (2) to win
