RACE TWO

IM NORMA JEAN (1) was a winner here 3 starts back when taking control over the mile and seeing it out to take the prize. Placed 3rd at each of her next 2 starts, the latest when grabbed in the closing stages over the 2138m up the passing lane. Back to the mile is a big plus and she can go all the way.

PETES SAID SO (8) lines up for his 3rd AP outing after taking on Sat night company in his 1st 2. Racing tough when 9m in arrears of BEE GEES BANDIT 1st up he wasn’t far behind MONTANA CHIEF last time.  Locked and loaded in the snipers seat he will be waiting to pull the trigger in the stretch.

AINTNOBETTOR (9) was a winner here 3 starts back when attacking the line strongly from back in the pack. The pegs might be a good place to be in this contest and he can look for the cheap runs.

THE SPACE INVADER (10) returns to the Cini barn after calling Menangle home for the past 7 months. His last run was a strong effort in the breeze and he stays under notice against these.

SELECTIONS: IM NORMA JEAN (1), PETES SAID SO (8), AINTNOBETTOR (9), THE SPACE INVADER (10)
SUGGESTED BET: IM NORMA JEAN (1) to win

RACE THREE

IM THE COMMANDO (3) is a lottery at the tapes, but when lining up behind the machine, seems to be much more comfortable. Despite yet to record a mobile victory in 4 attempts, he does have good early speed and when allowed to roll is tough to run down. He is a risk but if the manners come in the gear bag, he can take them all the way here.

LAVROS TEXAS (6) missed progressing to the final of the DJA and will line up here a two-time winner under mobile conditions. Angled to the pegs looking for shortcuts last start over the 2138m, he was sound to the line when 10m behind NORTHERN MUSCLE. Fitter from 2 runs back, this looks ideal.

BLACK VALLEY (4) was a mid-week winner when stepping cleanly over the 2138m and from the front was able to control the tempo in taking the prize. Game in the breeze in the 2nd round of the DJA, he can throw down a challenge.

MELPARK MAGIC (1) found them out of reach through the 2 heats of the big G1nnd should appreciate returning to this type of contest from the good gate. With the cosy trip he can place.

IM THE COMMANDO (3)

SELECTIONS: LAVROS TEXAS (6), BLACK VALLEY (4), MELPARK MAGIC (1)
SUGGESTED BET: IM THE COMMANDO (3) to win

RACE FOUR

NEWPORT DREAMZ (3)
should take great benefit from his latest run, with some regular racing now under his girth after interrupted campaigns. Crossed early from gate 1 last week, the re-take was on and setting a solid tempo over the 2138m, was grabbed in the closing stages. He can go one better.

TWITTER BROMAC (8) will have the early options as the lone 2nd line runner to find the right position. A winner when leading throughout over the mile 2 starts back when 1st up off a freshen, she grabbed 3rd in a strong mares race last start. The 2138m is the query, but she is in the mix.

SEA HAWKE (6) sat back in the pack from gate 10 here 3 starts back and finished over the top to claim a smart win. Put a line through his latest run, with an easy trip he can be swooping here.

LIVING GRAND (5) was too strong in front over the mile here 2 starts back in a conditioned event and then last start was only 4m in arrears. He might need to roll the sleeves here, but can place.

SELECTIONS: NEWPORT DREAMZ (3), TWITTER BROMAC (8), SEA HAWKE (6), LIVING GRAND (5)
SUGGESTED BET: NEWPORT DREAMZ (3) to win

RACE FIVE

MACHIN OUT (8) was a winner here 3 starts back when securing the pocket trail from gate 1 and firing too many bullets when right-lined at the top of the stretch. Cutting the breeze in a tough run from gate 7 at his next start. Holding ground over the 2138m last start, he can fire the closing shot.

AT WEST POINT (1) was a Tamworth winner at the mile 2 starts back when leading all the way from gate 3 and posting a big 32m victory in sharp time. Locked away from inside the 2nd row at his 1st run for Ryan Veivers, he was only beaten 7m and from the improved gate will give them a target.

CAESARS ASTRUM (3) took a while to work her way to the front over the 2138m in a mares qualifier last start, but once in control was able to fight them off to score. She might need to work in this.

MAJOR CURRENCY (7) has no favours from the wide gate after being banished to the outside draw. He worked home in good order here 2 starts back over the mile and can be chiming in late again.

SELECTIONS: MACHIN OUT (8), AT WEST POINT (1), CAESARS ASTRUM (3), MAJOR CURRENCY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MACHIN OUT (8) to win

RACE SIX

This shapes as a tricky little contest with a few of these looking to recapture some form. Leaning to LIFES A JUNGLE (3) who can show good hustle out of the machine when asked and with the chance he can get to the poles, he might just be able to sneak away with this. Freshened since his last appearance, he was 3rd to SABRAGE 2 starts back which is the right form for this.

COLONEL JOY (8) will have early options as the lone 2nd line runner to get away from the pegs if desired. A winner over the 2138m here 5 starts back when working home wide off the track, he has been unable to land a decent gate for some time, the latest from gate 7. He can challenge here.

ARK PATROL (5) has been kept fresh since his last outing when down the line at Redcliffe over the 2040m. Gunned down in front over the 2138m here 2 starts back, the return to the mile suits.

CAMROLLER (1) makes his Qld debut, arriving a ten-time winner and a last place at his most recent outing. Sound in a recent trial although beaten a big margin, from the gate he can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: LIFES A JUNGLE (3), COLONEL JOY (8), ARK PATROL (5), CAMROLLER (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

ALBION ARK (5) returned to the track 2 starts back from the 2nd line when working home in good order behind REMEMBER ME NOW. Sent forward from the 2nd line at the 1400m when 2nd up over the 2138m, he clung on for the bronze. With front-line gate and back to the mile, he gets a chance.

SIXPENNY RED (4) made the most of the right opponents here last week when leading all the way to claim her 1st victory of the season when cruising home to post an 18m margin in the process. Best of the chasers here on Tuesday behind JAMIES BAD BOY, she won’t be too far away again in this.

SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (7) has the tough gate to negotiate but he was a smart winner last start at Redcliffe when leading throughout over the 2040m. With even luck in transit he can chime in.

ROCK THE HOUSE (1) looks set to get the easy trip and without spending a penny can be looking for the gaps to charge home. A Marburg winner 3 starts ago from back in the pack, he will be waiting.

SELECTIONS: ALBION ARK (5), SIXPENNY RED (4), SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (7), ROCK THE HOUSE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ALBION ARK (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

TAKE IN THE GOLD (1) will be further tightened and have the added race experience following his 2nd up run here last time out. Lighting the lamps from this same gate, he led them deep into the stretch, only to be collared on the line. Beaten a head when 1st up, he gets his chance to go one better.

FOREVER ROCKING (2) was ready to make her debut back in early November, but was a scratching to allow some more time to be 100%. With another 2 trials to prepare, the latest a nice 2nd, the regally bred filly out of the champion mare Forever Gold is ready to go again. With early options, she can fire 1st up.

GOOD AS IT GETS (4) resumes from a spell to kick-off his 3YO term and will come into this with one trial to open the pipes. Placed at his last 3 starts at 2YO, he has showed promise and is in the mix here.

ROLLONX (6) doesn’t have any favours from this gate, yet has won 2 of his 3 starts this season. Spearing out to lead and then release last start, he finished best to take the win and can place again.

SELECTIONS: TAKE IN THE GOLD (1), FOREVER ROCKING (2), GOOD AS IT GETS (4), ROLLONX (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TAKE IN THE GOLD (1) to win
