RACE TWO

SOLE AMBITION (11) arrives from NZ to join the Donny Smith bran and finds some low hanging fruit at his 1st appearance. A regally bred gelding that has an impressive record of 4 wins and 8 minors in 15 attempts, he was a winner 3 back and 2 back wasn’t far behind OUR UNCLE SAM.

ZARAS DANCE (6) has been in the money at all 5 starts this season, the latest when beaten a half-head when using the passing lane over the mile. Working home well from a long way back the start prior to grab 3rd behind WILL THE WIZARD, she can negotiate the tough gate to fill the minors again.

OUR LITTLE GIRL (10) has been in nice touch at Redcliffe with a win at 3 of her past 5 starts. Pressing forward to find the front 2 starts back, she held on to score and with a cart home here can place.

GOES BOOM (8) will need a slice of luck from this gate as he looks set to be locked away, yet if the gaps arrive, he can chime in. 1st up for the Dixon stable, he will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: SOLE AMBITION (11), ZARAS DANCE (6), OUR LITTLE GIRL (10), GOES BOOM (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

IM NO OUTLAW (2) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when leading them up over the mile. With a 2nd panel breather, he kept the tempo even the last 800m to be 4m from the winner when grabbed in the stretch. Only 5m behind MUCH BETTOR the start prior, he can see it out.

NEWPORT DREAMZ (11) is showing the benefit of consistent racing after a period of issues saw him not put any week to week racing together. Leading them over the 2138m 2 starts back, his condition just faded when grabbed late. The added fitness saw him hold on last start to win and he goes close.

ROLL WITH ROCKY (3) makes his 1st Qld appearance for Jack Butler and arrives with some handy form around NSW. Attacking the line strongly last start at Menangle and will take benefit from this.

TAYLOR HOOD (9) worked hard in the breeze last start at Redcliffe in fighting hard for the silver behind the in-form COLOMBIAN GOLD. Tough in the breeze the start prior, he can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: IM NO OUTLAW (2), NEWPORT DREAMZ (11), ROLL WITH ROCKY (3), TAYLOR HOOD (9)
SUGGESTED BET: IM NO OUTLAW (2) to win

RACE FOUR

An even contest to dissect here with MONTANA LAD (10) facing a tough gate but he should appreciate returning to the bigger oval. Last start on the triangle at Redcliffe he worked hard in the run before fading late. His closing sections from the 2nd line his previous 2 suggest he can arrive here.

HEADWIN (3) was forced to cover plenty of track wide out last time at Marburg from a 2nd line gate and the effort had merit under the circumstances. Working in the breeze here the start prior outside JAMIES BAD BOY, he faded late under the effort. He can pounce on the poles and be gripping on.

TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (5) resumes from a spell to start her 3YO term after 2 minors and a win from her 3 attempts at 2YO. With a smart trial to prepare, she stays under notice 1st up.

WHICH HUNT (12) doesn’t have any favours from this gate but will be further tightened from her latest run when 2nd up this prep. Using the passing lane to score over the 2138m, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MONTANA LAD (10), HEADWIN (3), TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (5), WHICH HUNT (12)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTANA LAD (10) to win

RACE FIVE

Another Kiwi 1st up in Aus for Donny Smith with CHROMOZONE (7) a mare that arrives with a pair of wins and 3 minors in 21 outings. A last start North Island winner at Hutt Park, she was 2nd at Manawatu 3 starts back over the long 2500m trip. With limited experience at the mile, they might look to grind this out.

ALBION ARK (10) will be further tightened from his latest outing when 3rd up this term. Rolling forward to face the breeze from gate 5, he had to settle for the silver as a red figure fav behind SIXPENNY RED. A tidy 3rd over the 2138m 2 starts back, he can be throwing down a challenge here.

ROLL WITH NIKE (2) was only 2m from the winner ZARAS ALL GOOD last start after settling handy to the speed. A close up 2nd here 3 starts back, he will be prominent in the run and has place claims.

CHEESANDKISSES (8) had been building towards a maiden breaking win and last start delivered that when dictating to an all the way victory. Needing some luck from this gate, she can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: CHROMOZONE (7), ALBION ARK (10), ROLL WITH NIKE (2), CHEESANDKISSES (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CHROMOZONE (7) to win

RACE SIX

TRUNKEY DIGGER (8) has been in the money at 8 of her past 10 starts, the latest from outside the front line at Redcliffe when closing out in nice order to be 3m from the winner SHERIFF JUJON. Following out a quick beginner, she will be coiled and ready to fire the snipers shot in the stretch.

GOTTA MOMENT (12) backs up from AP on Tues where he landed gate 1 over the 2138m and looked set to play a strong role in proceedings. 2 starts back he found the line nicely to grab the bronze over the sprint trip and securing the right cart into the contest, can be issuing a closing challenge.

ITSADANCEOFF (1) will be tightened from his latest Marburg outing when 2nd up from a break off a 2nd line draw. With good early speed, he can light the lamps here and look to recapture some form.

ARK PATROL (2) pressed forward from gate 5 over the sprint trip last start to face the breeze and after the tough trip fought on to be just 6m in arrears of the winner. He can be in the mix again.

SELECTIONS: TRUNKEY DIGGER (8), GOTTA MOMENT (12), ITSADANCEOFF (1), ARK PATROL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-8-12

RACE SEVEN

LIFES A JUNGLE (3) worked to the front last start over the sprint trip from this same gate and after a nice 2nd stanza breather, looked to bring it home, setting it up with a 56.6 last 800m, but faded in the closing stages. Fitter for the run after 4 weeks between starts, he can look to take control here.

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (8) will need a slice of luck from this gate as he looks set to be locked away, but if the gaps arrive, he can offer. Buried away from this gate 2 starts back, his run against much stronger opponents last time had merit when down the line from gate 11 behind VIRGIL.

TRAIN WRECK (9) was glued to the poles from gate 1 last start over this trip but never saw the space to issue a decent challenge. Only a neck away the start prior, he won’t be far away in this contest.

RIVERLEIGH WILLIAM (1) is effective if allowed to make a closing play along the passing lane and from this gate has the opportunity to utilise the inside runs. That pattern can see him feature.

SELECTIONS: LIFES A JUNGLE (3), RECIPE FOR DREAMING (8), TRAIN WRECK (9), RIVERLEIGH WILLIAM (1)
SUGGESTED BET: LIFES A JUNGLE (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

SIRIUS VICKI (11) secured the perfect tri in the pocket trail 2 starts back and making the most of the passing lane arrived to claim a narrow victory over the 2138m. Last start she found the running line and was closing nicely to be 8m from the passing lane winner NOTORIUS. Look for her swooping late.

MAJOR LUCKY (1) has struggled to fire any bullets of late, but lands the gate and the chance to recapture his best form. Forget his last appearance when striking trouble in the run, the start prior he was forced to retreat from a wide gate to find position. He can look to capitalise and dictate.

ZARAS ALL GOOD (12) isn’t afforded any favours as she looks to complete a hat-trick of victories. A passing lane winner last start, she will be need to be working wide out at some point to chime in.

LIVING GRAND (6) rolled to the breeze last start over the 2138m and faded late under an even tempo set by NEWPORT DREAMZ. A winner here 3 starts back, he will roll the sleeves to dig in here.

SELECTIONS: SIRIUS VICKI (11), MAJOR LUCKY (1), ZARAS ALL GOOD (12), LIVING GRAND (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

SENORA RAPIDO (12) has the extreme gate to negotiate, yet she should find this a shade below her latest start in the mares FFA of the Forever Gold. Locked away from an inside 2nd line gate, she was strong late to be 5m in arrears of the winner. Successful her previous 2, she can power home here.

FEELINGFORARAINBOW (9) was game in defeat at Marburg last start when easing back early to get away from the pegs and sent to the breeze went within an eyelash of victory over the 2200m. Securing a handy position in transit, he can be in the mix.

COLOMBIAN GOLD (5) has jumped out of the ground and struck a rich vein of form. Taking a mares qualifier last start with a front running performance to break 1.54 and make it a hat-trick of wins, she can feature again here.

KILLARA KAOS (2) makes his Qld debut for Grant Dixon and arrives with some handy form around the Riverina of NSW. He should settle in a prominent position here and has podium claims 1st up.

SELECTIONS: SENORA RAPIDO (12), FEELINGFORARAINBOW (9), COLOMBIAN GOLD (5), KILLARA KAOS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SENORA RAPIDO (12) to win
