RACE TWO

JEDDY R YA READY (5) progressed to the final of the DJA Series and after stepping cleanly into stride was able to finish mid-field behind MAJESTIC SIMON. His efforts have been full of merit without landing a winning blow but he looks to get his chance under the conditions here.

TORFINO MIST (6) pressed on to take control from the 10m tape last start when tackling the long trip and once in control was never in danger. Finding the front from a 20m impost here 3 starts back, she had them chasing all the way. The small field suits as she faces a sterner test, but she cannot be ignored.

SKYLINE (7) started in red figures last start over the mobile 2138m trip when the best he could manage was 3rd when 21m in arrears.  A smart winner 2 starts back, he can look to make his presence felt.

REDRIVERDEBBA (3) has finished as the runner-up at 3 of her past 4 starts, the latest 2 runs back when 6m from the winner TORFINO MIST. With good manners she can be in the contest.

SELECTIONS: JEDDY R YA READY (5), TORFINO MIST (6), SKYLINE (7), REDRIVERDEBBA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: JEDDY R YA READY (5) to win

RACE THREE

ROLL WITH ROCKY (6) has good early speed and from the gate can look to touch down in front. Settling back at the rear last time out, he was charging home to get within 3m of the winner. With early speed, he can look to fire a show across the bow here and despite the tough gate land a breakthrough

ROYAL OBSESSION (7) was snagged back from this same gate last start and was soon a long way back to make a meaningful challenge. Attacking the line with gusto, he was only 3m in arrears of the winner. Fitter after 2 runs in Qld since joining the Sallis stable, he can look to overcome the alley.

FEARLESS FAITH (5) will appreciate this contest 2nd up after facing the starter once since returning from a spell. Down the line behind TORQUE ONETWOTHREE, she can be sharper in this line-up.

MAFFIOSO GIRL (1) eased from gate 5 to find position last start and from the running line was working home in nice order to grab the bronze. Only a half-head away from gate 7 over this trip 2 runs back, she can be probing.

SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-6-7

RACE FOUR

TARGARYEN (4) made an immediate impression when scoring 1st up in Aus here last outing. After a steady middle 800m split, he had arrows in the quiver and hit the target when ripping home in a sub 27 closing panel. Fitter from that 1st outing, he can go 2 from 2 with this no harder than his 1st up win.

GOALKICKER (6) is nearing a drought breaking win after finishing as the runner-up in 4 of her past 5 outings. Spearing out to find the front last start, she was trying to stave off the challengers but could not see it out when 3m in arrears to claim the bronze. The wider gate stings but she can still feature.

SHEZ GOT BLING (1) is in search of a hat-trick of victories after wins here and at Redcliffe. Powering home over the top of them last start, she can secure the perfect trip and be ready to strike in the stretch.

GOSLING IN FLIGHT (10) was buried in the run from inside the 2nd line last start when no match for the airborne ROUSEY. A Marburg winner 2 starts back, he has the tough gate but cannot be overlooked.

REDS GOOD TO GO (1)
has slowly been working his way back to a fitness peak and after 4 starts since returning from a break, looks set to get all the chances here. Working home smartly from back in the pack after restraining from gate 7, the 3rd placing followed a tough 2nd. He looks to have found his race.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH (8) has started from gate 10 at each of his past 2 starts, the latest when working home wide off the track to be 5m in arrears of the winner. Runner-up here 3 starts back after showing early speed prior to releasing, he looks set for an economical trip and can challenge late.

HIGH ON MONTANA (9) tackled a qualifier last start and loomed up strongly turning for home as he pressed forward to put it to them. 3.5m from the winner RIVERLEIGH ROCKET, he can join in late in this.

was working hard in the run last start when racing first over in the JC McMullen as WILL THE WIZARD powered home over the top of them to score. Not much went his way the start prior behind BLACKSADANCE which followed a tough 3rd to LARRY LINCOLN. He can look to capitalise.

LOMBO HEAVEN (9) steps out in Qld for the 1st time, arriving a four-tie winner in 22 attempts. A beaten fav last start at Penrith when working home wide off the track, he was beaten by a wide gate the start prior. With a smart preparatory trial in readiness, he can challenge fresh up.

VENUS JUJON (8) tackled the feature fillies’ races at her past 2 starts and although not finishing in the money, her efforts were strong. Making an error over the line last start, she can be probing here.

ITS SUPER EASY (5) sat in the pocket trail here 2 starts back over the middle-distance and when the gap opened sprinted sharply to claim the prize. Closing strongly last start, the gate makes it tricky in this.

SELECTIONS: SOHO TSUNAMI (4), LOMBO HEAVEN (9), VENUS JUJON (8), ITS SUPER EASY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SOHO TSUNAMI (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

HURRICANE ROY (3) returned from a spell in the best possible way when proving too strong from gate 6 over the Redcliffe sprint trip. Moving around them in the middle stages to find the breeze, he was able to worry them out of it for a narrow win. Fitter again, he can look for back-to-back wins.

HENRY HU (2) will be 2nd up from a 10 month break after returning to the track in the 4YO Championship when wilting late to trail them in as BALRAJ landed the prize. A sharp Menangle winner at his Aus debut 3 starts back, he will be fitter and from the gate gets his chance to challenge.

DOUBLE OR NOTHING (4) held the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line last start when holding on for the silver behind the big winner SAUCY DREAMS. Gate 7 was his undoing 2 starts back and he can feature in this.

KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (1) made the most of an improved gate to lead them all the way at Redcliffe last start and hold on for victory by a head. With the cosy ride on offer, he can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: HURRICANE ROY (3), HENRY HU (2), DOUBLE OR NOTHING (4), KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: HURRICANE ROY (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

NIMAH FRANCO (4) pressed forward to find the front over the mile 2 starts back and once in control had then chasing all the way to claim a 2m victory. Keen to lead last start over this trip when spending some early petrol, this is an easier contest and she can get forward again to see this out.

LUCKY UNLUCKY (2) returns from a break after finishing as the runner-up last start over this trip. Setting the tempo on that occasion, he was nabbed late to go under as a red figure fav. Claiming his qualifier, the start prior in easy fashion, he has the gate to prove a huge threat.

MISSINMEMATE (1) will be further tightened from his latest outing when 2nd up from a break. Closing soundly when 6m from the winner OUR UNCLE JIM, the gate is a big plus here.

LORIMER LADY (8) held the front from gate 1 last outing and was leading deep into the stretch when collared in the closing strides. With the benefit of a cosy trip, she can be probing for openings.

SELECTIONS: NIMAH FRANCO (4), LUCKY UNLUCKY (2), MISSINMEMATE (1), LORIMER LADY (8)
