RACE TWO

ORLANDO JOLT (7) was working home strongly here 2 starts back over the 2138m when 3rd to ALADDIN SANE. Tackling this trip last start, he was safely away from the 10m mark and was able to launch his claim at the right time to swoop over the top to score a 3m victory. Rinse and repeat.

THE REAPER (5) will be fitter again from his latest start when 3rd up from a spell. Starting off 20m, he was angled to the pegs and was sound to the line when chasing home behind ORLANDO JOLT. He receives 10m relief from that winner this time and with the added fitness can challenge.

REDRIVERDEBBA (8) has been working towards a victory since joining the Gillespie yard and Friday was again strong in the closing stages from a 10m impost after making an early error. Back to the 30m is a stinger here, but she can feature.

ROSEHILL MAGIC (4) started 10m behind ORLANDO JOLT last start over this trip and was beaten the handicap when mid-field. Starting 10m in front this time, it is a nice turnaround at the tapes, and she will get her chance for a breakthrough win.

SELECTIONS: ORLANDO JOLT (7), THE REAPER (5), REDRIVERDEBBA (8), ROSEHILL MAGIC (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

MELTON INSULTED (1) is moving closer to a maiden breaking win and will be further tightened from her latest offering when 2nd up from a spell. Shut down back in August after successive placings, she has returned as a runner-up in both starts, the latest when looming up strongly and 1.5m from the winner. With the gate she gets her chance.

PEE VEE EM (10) will take great benefit and experience from his race debut here last week when sent out as the favourite. Pouncing on the poles from gate 4, he steadied the boat through the middle stages, just wilting near the line. He can chase here and can build off the sound debut.

DELIGHTFUL REASON (8) resumes from a spell after tackling the 2YO Fillies Consolation last start before going for a break. Not seen at the trials in preparation, the cosy trip will suit 1st up.

CATCH PHRASE (2) settled into the running line from gate 10 last time out when making some nice ground in the closing stages to be mid-field but only 4m from the winner. Touring the oval 3-deep the start prior, she will not be far away.

SELECTIONS: MELTON INSULTED (1), PEE VEE EM (10), DELIGHTFUL REASON (8), CATCH PHRASE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MELTON INSULTED (1) to win

RACE FOUR

ATOMIC BOMBSHELL (3) was an eye-catcher last start when charging home from back in the pack to grab the bronze when 4m in arrears of the winner FLAME LADY. Banished to the trials the start prior, she was a winner 4 starts back and backed that up with a 2nd to the in-form BLISSFULDAY. With an improved gate, she can arrive.

SHEZALUCKYLADY (1) has been racing in consistent form and lines up here after hitting the board in 9 of her past 11. Working home strongly from gate 5 last start to get within a head of the winner FLAME LADY, she was a smart winner here 3 starts back. With all the options, she looms large.

FLAME LADY (5) has also been a model of consistency and last start overcame gate 10 to sweep home in claiming a last stride victory. Only 5m the start prior from gate 7, she will be right in the fight.

LANCELOT BROMAC (8) will be able to secure a soft run here and be ready to launch some form of challenge in the latter stages. Never far from the action, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: ATOMIC BOMBSHELL (3), SHEZALUCKYLADY (1), FLAME LADY (5), LANCELOT BROMAC (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ATOMIC BOMBSHELL (3) to win

RACE FIVE

BONDI SHAKE (1)
started from inside the 2nd line last time out and was chasing gamely to hold on for the silver behind the dominant leader and winner BOOMCHUCKALUCKA. Doing it the tough way the start prior and holding on for the silver, he will have early options here and that can be enough to claim victory.

ROUSEY (4) steps up to the big oval after dominating The Triangle since arriving in Qld that saw her claim 6 straight victories. Inside 2nd line gates have been her undoing at her past 2 starts when she has retreated to get away from the pegs before launching closing bids that have seen her claim successive 2nd placings. Back to the front line, she will be throwing it down.

TALENT TO SPARE (7) returns to start another campaign after being shut-down following the 2YO Fillies Triad Final. Making an error in that event, she was banished to the ODM and with an eye-catching trial to prepare for the return, she will benefit from the hit-out.

COPPICE (8) continues to be around the money without threatening to land a winning blow. Doing some early work before cover arrived last start, he held the bronze the start prior when joining in late. He will be sneaking through late again here.

SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (5) found suitable conditions at Redcliffe last start and after being given plenty of time to balance up, was sent forward to control the contest from the breeze in claiming a 2m victory. He can feature again.

SELECTIONS: BONDI SHAKE (1), ROUSEY (4), TALENT TO SPARE (7), COPPICE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-7-8

RACE SIX

This race looks a cracking contest for a midweeker with the majority bringing strong form lines to the battle. Second-up in Qld last start, KENSINGTON BILL (5) eased from gate 7 to sit at the rear before really attacking the line with gusto wide off the track. Despite a sticky gate, the tempo should suit.

RANGER BOMB (7) retuned an amazing effort at his 1st Qld outing when making an early error before really catching the eye with his finish for the bronze behind GOVERNOR JUJON. Dead game when doing all the heavy lifting outside WILL THE WIZARD and holding on for 2nd when only 2m away last start, he will be throwing it down again.

LUCKY UNLUCKY (4) will take great benefit from his return from a let-up here last time out. That was over the 2138m trip when within 5m of the winner MILLWOOD TILLY. Positioning cheaply, he can chime in.

LARRY LINCOLN (2) was closing strongly last start when within 2m of the smart winner STRADDIE in the Bill Dixon last start. Charging late when only a half-neck of the winner OAXAACAN DREAM the start prior, he can fire the first shot here.

SELECTIONS: KENSINGTON BILL (5), RANGER BOMB (7), LUCKY UNLUCKY (4), LARRY LINCOLN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: KENSINGTON BILL (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

JOHNNY WHITE (5) should enjoy the return to mid-week competition after facing some tough opponents in recent Saturday night outings. Only 6m from the winner ESCALERA last start, it followed a silver behind KINGOFTHSTARS- both of those winners tackling the Christmas Cup on Sat night. The gate is a little sticky, but he should have the edge.

CARLA CLARE (7) appreciated the level of her last outing when pressing forward from gate 6 to race first over. With arrows in the quiver, she was able to hit the target in scoring an easy 6m victory. That had followed a sound effort in the Forever Gold behind NO WIN NO FEED and despite the gate she can throw it down again.

LITTLE CHANGE (1) went around in the Veterans event on Saturday night from this same gate when the race was hectic early and he faded late. With the benefit of the ace once again, he can settle in behind the action and be ready to strike.

ROYAL LINCOLN (4) has claimed the bronze at each of his past 2 starts, the latest when closing strongly from wide off the track to be within 2m of the winner RUN BOY RUN. He can join in late again.

SELECTIONS: JOHNNY WHITE (5), CARLA CLARE (7), LITTLE CHANGE (1), ROYAL LINCOLN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: JOHNNY WHITE (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

CASINO TOMMY (6) returned to the claiming ranks last start with a gritty win when showing he knew where the finish line is, sticking the nose when it mattered. Having been in stronger races leading up to that victory last week, he was not far from HURRICANE ROY 2 starts back and despite the gate can look for a repeat win.

SAM IS PERFECTION (7) also made the most of his chance back to the claiming grade 2 starts back when having too many bullets in the closing shootout to claim victory over the 2138m trip. Back into a tougher assignment on Sat night, he had no favours from the gate and can look to strike back here.

INTRANSIT (3) was finishing best of the of-pace runners last time when finishing as the runner-up and only beaten a lip. Doing it the tough way the start prior and not beaten far, he can be thereabouts.

SABRAGE (5) fired off the arm last start from gate 7 to find the front and then tried to steady the ship mid-race. In for the fight, he was only a neck in arrears of the winner CASINO TOMMY. He will be in for the fight once again.

SELECTIONS: CASINO TOMMY (6), SAM IS PERFECTION (7), INTRANSIT (3), SABRAGE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: CASINO TOMMY (6) to win
