RACE TWO

CHASING GREAT (1) was luckless last start when trying to find the space to angle into open air but was stuck probing when grabbing the bronze behind ORLANDO JOLT. Making a closing play after a cosy trip the start prior, he was 2nd to that same winner. Off the front tape, he gets every chance to add another victory to his tally.

DOWN UNDER RORS (2) seems to find a good position in transit regularly but has been unable to capitalise in recent outings. Within 3m of JANSSON here 2 starts back from the pocket trail, he was searching for a gap here 3 back that did not open. He will be close to the action once again to make his play.

ORLANDO JOLT (7) has been in nice touch and will go in search of a hat-trick here after successive victories. Working home over the top of them in both wins when starting from the 10m tape, he faces a stiffer impost but is going too well to discount.

ROSEHILL MAGIC (4) stepped cleanly to find the front last start and once in control was fighting all the way when 5m in arrears of ORLADO JOLT. The 10m tape looks to give her a chance for a breakthrough.

SELECTIONS: CHASING GREAT (1), DOWN UNDER RORS (2), ORLANDO JOLT (7), ROSEHILL MAGIC (4)
SUGGESTED BET: CHASING GREAT (1) to win

RACE THREE

JEDDY R YA READY (8) continues to run honest races but just keeps finding one that meets him a little better at the conditions. Chasing gamely when just beyond mid-field behind TORFINO MIST last start, he was brave when only a half-head away 2 starts back. From the 10m, this might be his chance.

WEE MAN TROUBLE (9) has been kept fresh since the DJA Final back in November where he was wide the last lap in trying to reel in the leader and as game when finishing a 4m 3rd. Placed in both heat rounds including a tough 2nd when cutting the breeze, he can look to throw down the challenge from the 30m tape.

HAVANA MAGIC (7) has been super consistent through the extended season, hitting the board in better than 50% of her outings. The small field was in her favour last start when pressing forward to take control from the 10m tape and she can feature once again here.

SCORCHED (1) has now been to the track 4 times this campaign and on each occasion has been coming off handicaps. Back to the front line here should suit and with an easy trip where he does not have to chase, can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: JEDDY R YA READY (8), WEE MAN TROUBLE (9), HAVANA MAGIC (7), SCORCHED (1)
SUGGESTED BET: JEDDY R YA READY (8) to win

RACE FOUR

CATCH PHRASE (4) did not have the smoothest passage om the way home last start when not that far away from the winner DELIGHTFUL REASON. 3 starts back she was 3-wide the trip and was still boxing on late in a top run. This looks her chance to breakthrough and limiting the early burn to find position, can arrive here.

DANCINTOTHEBEAT (5) will take good benefit from her debut here last week when stuck looking for position, she was snagged back to find a spot on the pegs. Attacking the line in nice style in the closing stages to grab the bronze, the experience from the run is a big plus in challenging here.

MELTON INSULTED (6) continues to move ever closer to a maiden breaking win and has now been runner-up in 4 of her past 5 outings. Leading them up last start, she was grabbed on the line when beaten a neck. The gate stings, but she will not be far away.

MONTANA MYSTIQUE (1) tried to take them all the way from gate 1 at Redcliffe last start and was sent to the post in red figures. Unable to stave off the challengers in settling for 3rd, she will be in the mix once again.

SELECTIONS: CATCH PHRASE (4), DANCINTOTHEBEAT (5), MELTON INSULTED (6), MONTANA MYSTIQUE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CATCH PHRASE (4) to win

RACE FIVE

In great form at present, FROST EN ICE (6) faces a tough gate in a strong line-up but is going well enough to add another victory to her tally. With a perfect run in the pocket trail last start, she made the most of the passing lane to make the closing shot a winner. Holding on for the bronze in the 3YO Fillies Classic 2 starts back, she can add to her tally.

TEARAWAY DIAMOND (5) pressed on to take control here 3 starts back over the mile and once in charge, had them chasing all the way. A narrow 2nd at his next outing when doing all the work 3-wide to get to the breeze, he was again close-up last time. He will be in the fight and duking it out to the finish.

LITTLELIONLEJAMES (3) was sent forward from gate 2 over the mile 2 starts back and kept the speed on throughout to set a new career PB win. Gunned down as the fav last start, he can fire some early bullets.

NEWPORT DREAMZ (7) has been without a win for a while and now had 2 preps that have not really returned results. Yet he is going better than the numbers suggest, his past 2 from wide gates like this one. Back to the mile suits and he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: FROST EN ICE (6), TEARAWAY DIAMOND (5), LITTLELIONLEJAMES (3), NEWPORT DREAMZ (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 3-5-6-7

RACE SIX

TALENT TO SPARE (4)
was returning from a spell last time out off the back of an eye-catching trial where she was charging home. Lading gate 6 when 1st up, she was allowed float off the arm and was soon near the rear. Attacking the line in the closing stages to be 4m form the winner, she looks ready to go here.

TARGARYEN (9) will appreciate the return to the big oval after never really looking comfortable on The Triangle at Redcliffe. 2 from 2 here at The Creek- with both wins coming when leading, he will likely be chasing here. Fitter again after 3 runs since arriving in Qld, he can land handy to throw down the challenge.

SHEZALUCKYLADY (6) faces a tricky alley but has been racing consistently in recent outings. Setting the speed last start, she was only collared in the closing stages. Charging late the start prior, she can join in here.

GOALKICKER (10) has been around the money of late, the latest when grabbing the bronze after having no luck in transit when probing for openings that arrived too late. The gate hurts but she can join in.

SELECTIONS: TALENT TO SPARE (4), TARGARYEN (9), SHEZALUCKYLADY (6), GOALKICKER (10)
SUGGESTED BET: TALENT TO SPARE (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

FEARLESS FAITH (9) has been to the track 3 times this campaign and has shown steady improvement at each outing. Taking cover from gate 1 last start over the 2138m trip, she was not that far from the winner ITS SUPER EASY. Sent forward the start prior when 6m in arrears of subsequent winner ROLL WITH ROCKY, she can steam home in this.

THATS BETTOR (5) was returning from a spell last week when easing from gate 5 to find position. Saved for a closing burst, she was charging home and arrived on the wire to land a tidy 1st up victory. Taking good benefit from the outing, she can look to make a play in this line-up.

COULDNTELLYA (1) started from gate 5 here 2 starts back when easing to get into the running line and was soon back near the rear of the field. Making a sweeping run, she attacked the line with gusto when only beaten a neck. With the cosy trip, she can be ready to snipe.

MAFFIOSO GIRL (3) made an error last stat that saw her banished to the trials where she has since earned the return. Placed in 3 successive runs prior, she can secure a spot early to feature.

SELECTIONS: FEARLESS FAITH (9), THATS BETTOR (5), COULDNTELLYA (1), MAFFIOSO GIRL (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

This shapes as a tricky little contest that oozes front line speed and pressure. In great form is LARRY LINCOLN (2) and if he can tuck in just behind the speed, he can look to make the closing shot a winning one. He tried to take them all the way last start from this gate when grabbed late by RANGER BOMB and the start prior was charging home- like he can do here.

LUCKY UNLUCKY (3) will take further benefit from his latest appearance when 2nd up from a let-up. Easing to find position from gate 4, he was able to finish mid-field behind RANGER BOMB. Not that far from them when returning, he can throw down a challenge for the prize.

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (4) was sent forward from a 2nd line gate last time out and obliged to work hard in the run was unable to finish it off when fading behind FRANCO HAMPTON. From the gate he can feature.

NOTORIOUS (5) faces another sticky alley, yet he seems to face tough gates often. He could not get into the contest from the 2nd line last start but from this gate will likely be attacking early.

SELECTIONS: LARRY LINCOLN (2), LUCKY UNLUCKY (3), ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (4), NOTORIOUS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: LARRY LINCOLN (2) to win
