RACE TWO

ILLBEWATCHING (8) has been to the track twice since returning from a spell and wide gates have hampered his chances. Trying to chase from back in the pack as BRONSKI MACARENA took the short-cuts home last start, he can get the right type of early trail to swoop over the top of them here.

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (2) was beaten by the gate last start when retreating from gate 6 to find position and then forced to chase in vain. Gate 5 was her undoing the starts prior which had followed successive wins. With a good gate here, she can settle handy enough to make a challenge.

ELLE JAY (7) fired off the arm from gate 4 last time out when looking to take them all the way but was nabbed late up the lane. Bumping into the in-form GINA TARANTELLA her previous 2, she can be probing for openings here.

RAYONG PRINCESS (1) has early speed and lands the options from the ace here. A handy winner 4 starts back when finishing best, she was not suited when asked to work last start. The gate is a big plus.

SELECTIONS: ILLBEWATCHING (8), CHEYENNE AUTUMN (2), ELLE JAY (7), RAYONG PRINCESS (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

REGINA ELENA (9) was returning from a spell when proving too classy here last time out when landing a 3m victory as a red figure fav. Content to race first over, she had the answers to all the questions for a smart win. With the added fitness, this is not that much tougher, and she can overcome the alley.

MONTANA PRIDE (5) found conditions to suit at Albion Park 2 starts back when settling in the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line. Following the speed, he made the closing shot a winner in claiming a half-head victory. Backing up from Tuesday when bumping into the smart looking BOOMCHUCKALUCKA, he has claims.

TURN TURN FLYER (7) settled in the 1x1 trail last start when not that far from the winner BRONSKI MACARENA. With an economical trip on offer from this gate, he can be probing for gaps to chime in.

CHAMPAGNE REACTOR (2) has been down the line in 2 runs since returning from a spell, the latest when buried away from gate 1. With some added fitness, look for a sharper effort in this.

SELECTIONS: REGINA ELENA (9), MONTANA PRIDE (5), TURN TURN FLYER (7), CHAMPAGNE REACTOR (2)
SUGGESTED BET: REGINA ELENA (9) to win

RACE FOUR

A tricky one to nail down here with the 2040m also a leveller. He does not win out of turn, but GUTS (8) might just secure the right type of trip to sneak away with some Christmas cheer in this. Always up against it chasing as TARGARYEN ripped home in front last start, his recent form at The Creek can be enough to get him home here.

DARBY BRIGHTS (1) is moving ever closer to breaking a 2-year hoodoo and lands the right alley to challenge. Runner-up in 3 successive outings including beaten margins of 1m and an eyelash, she was locked away last start from inside the 2nd line when mid-field. The gate helps her quest.

AROONA (4) is yet to win over a middle-distance after 22 attempts as he comes into this with placings in 3 of his past 5. With those all over the 1780m, if he can settle handy, he can chime in.

SHEZ GOT BLING (3) was looking to complete a hat-trick of victories last start when down the line behind the smart winner TARGARYEN. Finishing over the top to claim a big win over this trip 2 starts back, she is right in the mix.

SELECTIONS: GUTS (8), DARBY BRIGHTS (1), AROONA (4), SHEZ GOT BLING (3)
SUGGESTED BET: GUTS (8) to win

RACE FIVE

BARBOO (1)
did some early work prior to receiving cover here on Monday night and then battled into 3rd behind SIR SEMPER FIDELIS. Beaten by the 2nd line here 2 starts back, he held o for the bronze the start prior from inside the 2nd line. With the improved gate, he gets his chance to capitalise.

BRONSKI MACARENA (7) was happy to release the speed here last start from gate 1. From the pocket trail, she took the closing shot and had the moves to arrive for a tidy victory. Sweating on the 1 looking to lead throughout, she will be coiled and ready for the snipers shot when the gap opens.

WOODLANDS WONDER (4) will take good benefit from his 1st up outing here in Qld when finding the pocket trail from this gate. Finishing 3m in arrears of the winner, he can be thereabouts once again.

WAVEDANCER (8) has worked his way into some form and line sup here with a top-3 in 3 of his past 4 outings. Game when holding on for the silver here on Monday night, he can feature again in this.

SELECTIONS: BARBOO (1), BRONSKI MACARENA (7), WOODLANDS WONDER (4), WAVEDANCER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BARBOO (1) to win

RACE SIX

SLINGSHOT (5)
will take added benefit from his latest start when 2nd up here in Qld from gate 3 over the 2040m trip. With a cleaner passage he would have been closer than the 4m margin from the winner ONE OFF and despite the sticky gate should appreciate some mid-race heat to arrive.

MONTANA LAD (7) was too far back from a tough gate over the AP 2138m last time out and was always facing a tough ask. Tackling a stronger line-up on the Kilcoy grass the start prior when shooting for a hat-trick, he comes into this with smart Redcliffe figures and early options as the lone 2nd liner.

ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (1) has been winless for some time but comes up with the right alley to provide the options here. Down the line last start when buried from a 2nd line gate, he can be thereabouts here.

MISSINMEMATE (6) kept them wide from gate 1 over the 2138m at The Creek last start but could not see it out when mid-field behind MILLWOOD TILLY. Despite the tough gate, he can get into the action to feature.

SELECTIONS: SLINGSHOT (5), MONTANA LAD (7), ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (1), MISSINMEMATE (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

MISTER FINNIGAN (7) started from this gate last start over the 1780m trip and taking the closing shot up the passing lane went within a pimple of landing the prize. 2nd up from a freshen in that outing, he will take further benefit. Relying on a slice of luck, he will be ready for the snipers shot.

FEELING THE LOVE (1) makes her 1st appearance in Qld and arrives a 3-time winner from the south-west of NSW. Eased and then angled to the pegs last start from gate 4 at Albury, she was then always facing a task. Freshened since her last outing, she has early speed and can strike 1st up.

MONTEREY JACK (6) is never far from the action and despite landing the tough alley here can be looing to make a closing play. Finishing best to claim victory here 2 starts back, he can be chiming in.

TRUNKEY DIGGER (5) found the running line from ate 4 last start and had bullets to fire when finishing over the top to land a 3.5m win. Hitting the line strongly the start prior, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MISTER FINNIGAN (7), FEELING THE LOVE (1), MONTEREY JACK (6), TRUNKEY DIGGER (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-6-7

RACE EIGHT

GUY LOOKS GOOD (3) speared out to take control here last start from gate 2 over the sprint trip and once in control dictated in holding on for victory by a neck margin. That followed a late charging 2nd when locked away from inside the 2nd line. He can look to get in a prominent position to take this.

TIMENPATIENCE (7) shoots for the hat-trick after a maiden breaking win here 2 runs back was followed by a handy effort ton the grass at Warwick. Making an early error before being buried 3 back here 2 runs back, she sprinted sharply along the passing lane to arrive. This is a step up, but the cosy trip aids her chance to challenge.

COULDNTMISAFALCON (4) started in red figures last start when 2nd up from a break and facing the starter for just the 4th time in his career. Too smart in claiming a maiden breaking victory, this is a rise, but he cannot be discounted.

PACIFIC COIN (6) has no favours from this gate yet should find this marginally easier than recent outings. Down the line behind RU DELIGHT last start, it followed successive wins and he can feature again.

SELECTIONS: GUY LOOKS GOOD (3), TIMENPATIENCE (7), COULDNTMISAFALCON (4), PACIFIC COIN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: GUY LOOKS GOOD (3) to win

RACE NINE

Have been giving MACH LE MORE (5) plenty of chances in stronger races at The Creek of late and must give him one more chance back in this grade. Dropped to the pegs last start in the BILL DIXON, he chased home when nearer the rear but was still only 6m from the winner STRADDIE. He can arrive here.

MACH TORQUE (1) can never seem to land a gate when she goes to headquarters for a mares qualifier but fares better here. Coming up with a nice alley once again, she can show some early hustle to protect the poles but also can call on the options. From the ace she looms large.

TUAPEKA LIGHT (6) is never far away and can bring 7 wins from her 12 outings on this track. Using the passing lane to arrive here last start, the gate does her no favours, but she can still feature.

LORIMER LADY (7) struck trouble last start and was put out of play over the 2138m at AP. Runner-up the start prior when only a half-neck from the winner OUR UNCLE JIM, she will be ready to snipe.

SELECTIONS: MACH LE MORE (5), MACH TORQUE (1), TUAPEKA LIGHT (6), LORIMER LADY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MACH LE MORE (5) to win
