Laying of the turf at Eagle Farm is on track with more than half the new surface now laid and the remainder of the turf to be laid after the sand profile is deemed ready.
More than 1100 metres of the turf has been laid after a test patch, laid before Christmas, showed growth of the root structure to 75mm. That test area has shown more positive growth with the root structure showing healthy results.
The primary contractors will spend the next week preparing the reworked sand profile for the turf which is being grown off site.
