RACE TWO

JEDDY R YA READY (4) ended up in a tricky position in the first round heats and when he finally found open space, the race was gone with MISS INVASION breaking clear. Once out and chasing there was plenty to like about how he hit the line and with further benefit from the run can arrive.

MAJESTIC SIMON (2) started in red figures in the first round and from the 10m tape wanted nothing to do with the start and was never in the race. Arriving in Aus a last start winner, if he can bring his manners and get the start sorted he can look to turn it around.

SCORCHED (6) was attacking the line strongly in the closing stages last start and was within 1.5m of the winner. Not suited the previous start in open company, he can be charging home late again here.

REDRIVERDEBBA (8) will strip fitter following the first round where she was 2nd up from a break. Safely away from the 40m she found the running line and packed too many guns working home. Will be charging again.

SELECTIONS: JEDDY R YA READY (4), MAJESTIC SIMON (2), SCORCHED (6), REDRIVERDEBBA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: JEDDY R YA READY (4) to win

RACE THREE

ONLY IN ROME (3) has been out of the winners stall since Oct 2017 but he finds a race where he might just be able to turn that around. Last start over the 2138m he was working hard in the breeze and was in for the fight when 7m from the winner HEAVENS HURRICANE. This looks his chance to breakthrough.

TAYLOR HOOD (7) has claimed the silver in 2 of 3 appearances since arriving in Qld with the latest a solid effort at Redcliffe when working home wide off the track and only 1m off the winner. Fading off over the 2138m here 2 start back after working in the run, the gate hurts but he is in the mix.

GOODTIME STRIDE (5) has landed some wide gates in recent starts and hasn’t had the best of luck along the way. On the back-up from Wed night where she looked well placed from gate 1, she has claims here.

VINTAGE DREAM (1) has been close up at her past 2 starts at Redcliffe with the latest when chasing hard from back in the pack. With the benefit of a soft trip she can look for the podium in this.

SELECTIONS: ONLY IN ROME (3), TAYLOR HOOD (7), GOODTIME STRIDE (5), VINTAGE DREAM (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ONLY IN ROME (3) to win

RACE FOUR

GREG THE GREAT (4)
is a risk from the tapes but if he is able to get the start right he will give this a shake. A big winner here 2 starts back after making an error and looking to have thrown his chances away, he chased hard to claim the prize. He made a mess of it last time out but is worth a chance.

MISS INVASION (3) was able to bring her manners here last start and after being safely away controlled the race from the front and skipped clear to take a good win. That win followed a pair of runs where she messed the start and was responsible for top runs under the circumstances. Big threat.

JUSTABITLIKEMUM (8) was doing her best work in the closing stages last start after taking a while to get going in the early stages. Pressing ahead to find the front and hold on for the win 2 starts back, she will be right in the fight.

SOH TWISTED (1) was cleanly away before releasing here last week and with the cosy trip was able to use the passing lane to grab the bronze. With a similar trip she can be ready to close out hard here.

SELECTIONS: GREG THE GREAT (4), MISS INVASION (3), JUSTABITLIKEMUM (8), SOH TWISTED (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GREG THE GREAT (4) to win

RACE FIVE

TUESDAYS FELLA (1) led them up in a heat of the Golden Guitar at Tamworth 3 starts back when grabbed close to the line. Missing the final his next run over the 2138m didn’t really suit from gate 11. His run on Tues was a much sharper effort and with the options from the gate can take this.

KEY LARGO (2) speared t from gate 5 here last start over the 2138m and looked to take them all the way when grabbed in the closing stages to go under by a head. Gunned down here 4 starts back when trying to lead throughout, he has the speed to lead and back to the mile will be gripping on.

ARK PATROL (3) was attempting to make it 4 wins on the bounce here last start when he landed gate 7 and after snagging back early was facing a task. Able to work in his races he can feature here.

WHERES THE SPIRIT (6) was taken back from gate 7 last start and with a strong tempo over the 2138m trip finished over the top to claim a stylish win. With a similar scenario he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: TUESDAYS FELLA (1), KEY LARGO (2), ARK PATROL (3), WHERES THE SPIRIT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TUESDAYS FELLA (1) to win

RACE SIX

ARK ME (3)
will take good benefit from her run last start when resuming from a break she finished over the top of them from gate 6 to claim the prize. With a solid 2YO campaign behind her where she was in the top-two in 6 of 8 appearances, she can look to build on her 1st up run to take this.

BRIAN WHO (6) was returning from a freshen here on Tues when he rolled forward from gate 5 and after being wide early found the breeze. Chasing gamely he was strong to the line in fighting for the silver and keeping the challengers for the minor money at bay. Fitter for the outing he can threaten.

HIPSTAR (10) started from gate 12 last start and was closing out strongly to grab the silver behind GINA MACH. It was a good run under the circumstances and with a strong tempo can feature here.

MISS MONEYBAGS (7) started fav last start from gate 9 and was working wide off the track when finishing down the line after meeting with some trouble. Smart at her best she is up to this with the right run.

SELECTIONS: ARK ME (3), BRIAN WHO (6), HIPSTAR (10), MISS MONEYBAGS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HIPSTAR (10) each-way

RACE SEVEN

COMPLY OR DIE (6) made a rare appearance outside of the claiming ranks last start when taking in a Band 5 event over the mile. His form had warranted the opportunity and charging to the front from gate 4 took control and was never in danger. The 2138m is a query but he is flying at present.

WATTLEBANK FLYER (1) was buried away on the pegs last start from a 2nd line gate and was sprouting wings in the closing stages to finish 1m from the winner. Not suited from gate 7 here 2 starts back, he will get the perfect trip from the gate here and will be coiled and ready to strike.

FRANCO TARIQ (7) drops into claiming company after a 3rd here on Tues to SLICE OF HEAVEN. Taken back to the pegs he was attacking the line strongly and with even luck in transit can take this.

OUR MELS DREAM (8) will be needing his share of luck from this gate but he is never far from the action in these type of events. A passing lane winner 2 starts back he was closing hard last time and can feature.

SELECTIONS: COMPLY OR DIE (6), WATTLEBANK FLYER (1), FRANCO TARIQ (7), OUR MELS DREAM (8)
SUGGESTED BET: COMPLY OR DIE (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

HARD TO HEAR (11)
has secured a pair of stylish wins at each of his past 2 starts and lines up here ready to claim the hat-trick. Starting from the 2nd line last time out he was wide off the track and attacked the line strongly to arrive for the prize. Despite another tough gate he can power home.

ROCKNROLL EMMA (12) chased home well for the silver here 4 starts back and franked the strength of that run with a win at her next start in a strong effort when wide over the 2138m trip. Starting from the 2nd line in a mares qualifier last start she was the strongest in the finish and is in the mix.

IM FREE FALLING (8) will need plenty of luck from this alley but if able to sight space with track to work with can sprint hard. Only grabbed late last start when leading from gate 6 he will be probing.

MAGOOGAN (10) is in consistent touch and a win is not far away in the right contest. Placed at his past 4 in succession, he fought hard in the breeze last start and will be in for the fight once again.

SELECTIONS: HARD TO HEAR (11), ROCKNROLL EMMA (12), IM FREE FALLING (8), MAGOOGAN (10)
SUGGESTED BET:
