RACE TWO

CLARRY (3) was out of luck last week and even the beaten margin was trolling his result when finishing 13m from the winner LILAC FLASH. Releasing the speed over the mile the start prior when starting from gate 1, he was strong to the line for the bronze when 3m away. He can tuck in behind what looks some early speed to power over the top.

KINGOFTHESTARS (7) is on a cool streak with gates, landing gate 5 or wider at his past 7 in succession. That has not stopped him winning a pair of those and last start he was sound in the closing stages behind LILAC FLASH. The early heat should suit and able to maintain a sustained run, can look to work home to make his challenge.

JOHNNY WHITE (1) was angled to the pegs last start in a strong 2138m event and with the 3rd panel thrown down sub 27, he was left to chase when 11m from LETS KATCHMEIFUCAN. With the right trip he can be in the mix.

SIR JULIAN (4) burrowed through early to protect the inside but in a strong mile, he could not go with them as ONE CHANGE asserted his dominance. Back to this company suits and he might just put the early speed into the battle.

SELECTIONS: CLARRY (3), KINGOFTHESTARS (7), JOHNNY WHITE (1), SIR JULIAN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: CLARRY (3) to win

RACE THREE

LARRY LINCOLN (9)
was beaten by the marble last start when from the six-hole he retreated to find position. Pinned down on the pegs, he was searching for a way clear and never received an uninterrupted passage yet was still only 4m away. His previous 2 were in stronger company and with the right trail through early, he can capitalise.

SLINGSHOT (1) was runner-up in a 2nd division qualifier here 2 starts back when best of the chasing pack behind the big winner LOMBO HEAVEN. Finishing best to score over this trip 2 starts back after leaving from gate 7, he looks set for a nice trip in behind the action here and will be probing to challenge.

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (2) eased from gate 6 here on Tues over the 2138m trip to settle near the rear of the pack. Hitting the line in good order over the closing stages it followed a tidy effort also at the middle distance. From the gate he can fire an early shot.

GOTTA MOMENT (3) was taken back from gate 5 on Tuesday and from back in the pack was facing a task with a strong closing 800m. Claiming the bronze 3 starts back, he will be thereabouts once again.

SELECTIONS: LARRY LINCOLN (9), SLINGSHOT (1), RECIPE FOR DREAMING (2), GOTTA MOMENT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: LARRY LINCOLN (9) to win

RACE FOUR

Put a pen through the run of MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (6) last start where she made an error in transit that put her out of commission. Sent to the trials, she earned the return with a slippery trial, powering home in a strong hit out. Only 2m away 2 starts back behind STRADDIE, she can cash-in.

ROCKITA (7) has placed at her past 6 in succession, the last 2 of those here at The Creek. Sent forward in the middle stages from this gate last start, she was doing all the work when fighting on for the bronze behind BETTERTHANDIAMONDS. The gate stings again but she will be in for the fight.

NIMAH FRANCO (10) fired off the arm last start from gate 3 to set the tempo over the 2138m. Copping the stink eye in the run, she was unable to repel the challenge when fading as SAUCY DREAMS dealt the blow but held on for the bronze. Chasing she can chime in.

WICKED AZZ (8) was runner-up here last start in this grade when doing her share of work from gate 5 after pressing forward from the get-go. Her chances rest on sighting the gaps while still having the momentum.

SELECTIONS: MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (6), ROCKITA (7), NIMAH FRANCO (10), WICKED AZZ (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (6) to win

RACE FIVE

The Turpin/McMullen barn have some serious arsenal at their disposal at present and this race will have the interesting side battle as to who the premier 4YO in the barn is at present.  WILL THE WIZARD (2) will be out to strengthen his credentials for that ranking following his stablemate BLACKSADANCE demolition job of his opponents last week. Will is looking to make it 4 in succession that includes a win over GOVERNOR JUJON 2 starts back. He chased hard over the mile last start for an impressive win when 1st up from a freshen and from the gate he looks set for the quartet.

ROCKNROLL ICON (8) was sent forward from gate 7 last week and forced to roll the sleeves could not go on with it in the closing stages. Back-to-back wins at his previous 2, he has 2nd line options.

BRIDGET BLUE CHIP (1) is off the mid-week back-up where she was snagged back from gate 6 to find position. From back in the pack, she closed in nice order behind the dictating winner PARAVANI. With a cosy trip she is a podium hope.

ALWAYS A SECRET (5) started fav here last start from the 2nd line and after settling in the running line was chasing hard to be within 5m of the winner BOHANNAN. He has podium claims here.

SELECTIONS: WILL THE WIZARD (2), ROCKNROLL ICON (8), BRIDGET BLUE CHIP (1), ALWAYS A SECRET (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2 / 1-5-8

RACE SEVEN

The early stages of this race look keen and willing on paper with gates 1-3 all fast out and with each to be piloted by a McMullen sibling should ensure the heat is on. NOTORIOUS (1) was game in chasing behind BLACKSADANCE last start when finishing 8m in arrears over the 2138m. A similar margin behind WILL THE WIZARD the start prior, he has best use of the options to make his play.

LOMBO HEAVEN (2) took on a 2nd division qualifier last start from this same gate over this trip. Sent straight to the front, it was a power running performance that left his opponents gasping as he cruised home to claim a 19m victory. With 2 from 3 since arriving in Qld, he looms as a huge danger.

THE FORTUNATE SON (3) was stepping up to Band 5 company to stay at the mile last start and was obliged to work hard in the run outside the leader and winner KEY LARGO. Fighting gamely, he stretched out WILL THE WIZARD the start prior and will be up and attacking here.

ICE PICK ANGIE (6) will be best placed to capitalise if the tempo brings the front-runners undone. A winner at her past 4 in succession, she is 2 from 2 since arriving this campaign in Qld. Powering home late to claim a new PB 1.54.1-mile last start, look for her making the closing play.

SELECTIONS: NOTORIUS (1), LOMBO HEAVEN (2), THE FORTUNATE SON (3) ICE PICK ANGIE (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

vRACE EIGHT

BOMB SUIT (5)
was huge in defeat here last week over the 2138m after being deserted by luck. Severely hampered by a tiring runner, when he finally found space, the leader and winner BLACKSADANCE was off and gone. Charging home, it was a real eye-catcher and back to this grade, he can defuse his opponents.

BOOMCHUCKALUCKA (2) faces his sternest test since arriving in Qld. With 3 wins here at The Creek in his 4 outings, all his wins have been when dictating in front. Sneaking a 2nd stanza breather last start, he powered home to score an easy 8m victory at short odds. Lighting the fuse early, he will throw it down.

ROCKSLIDE (7) fired off the gate from alley 6 here 2 starts back and setting the tempo was gripping to the lead, only to be nabbed in the last stride, beaten a lip. Gunned down here on Tuesday by KENSINGTON BILL, he is in the mix once again.

CROWN MOJO (1) tackled a similar race last start at this trip from this gate when pinned down 3 back and finishing 5m from the winner BETTERTHANDIAMONDS. Likely to settle one position closer this time, he can join in.

SELECTIONS: BOMB SUIT (5), BOOMCHUCKALUCKA (2), ROCKSLIDE (7), CROWN MOJO (1)
SUGGESTED BET: BOMB SUIT (5) to win

RACE NINE

GARLAND GREENE (6)
meets his conqueror from last week 20m better after he was charging home in the closing stages to be 8m in arrears of that winner, SKYLINE. Put a line through his run 2 starts back when he totally blew the start. Given some mid-week practice from the tapes in a trial where he was cleanly away, if safely away, he can take this.

SKYLINE (3) was a winner from the front tape here last week over the longer 2647m trip when settling in behind the speed and then finishing best up the passing lane to score. Different conditions and back to 2138m here but he stays off the front and placed in 3 in succession prior to his win, he will challenge again.

GEE UP NEDDY (7) was only 3m in arrears of the winner here 3 starts back under similar conditions when starting from this same mark. Game in defeat after working hard in the run from a 40m impost last start, he can feature in this.

JEDDY R YA READY (1) can take some confidence from his last start win on the grass at Kilcoy where he was able to overcome a big handicap at the mile. Not ideally suited at these handicaps, he is never far away and with a cosy trip can chime in.

SELECTIONS: GARLAND GREENE (6), SKYLINE (3), GEE UP NEDDY (7), JEDDY R YA READY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GARLAND GREENE (6) to win
