RACE TWO

Another tough veteran’s event that has been producing some strong races where CLINTAL DO (7) should appreciate a drop back in grade. Placed in his past 4 on the bounce, he tried to gun down SECRETAGENT TYCOON up the passing lane last week, but the sub 27 panel in front put it just out of reach. The wide gate stings, but he can be charging home here.

HANDSOME HERO (4) has finished runner-up at his past 2 starts, the latest a tough effort when doing all the heavy lifting outside the leader and winner IDEAL WORLD. In for the fight, he was still punching to the wire when 2m in arrears. He can get forward to make a challenge once again.

ROCKNROLL ICON (6) was shooting for a hat-trick over this trip 2 starts back when sent to the breeze from gate 7. Working hard in the run he could not maintain the rage when fading out. 2nd to WILL THE WIZARD last start, he is in the mix.

KINGOFTHESTARS (8) started from the six-hole here on Tuesday when settling in the 1x1 trail. Looking under pressure at the bell, he dug in and was only 4m away from the winner. With 2nd line options, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: CLINTAL DO (7), HANDSOME HERO (4), ROCKNROLL ICON (6), KINGOFTHESTARS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CLINTAL DO (7) to win

RACE THREE

There looks some good front line speed in this mares qualifier which could provide the opportunity for a sweeper to arrive. Fitting that mould, NIMAH FRANCO (10) has been in great form of late and was strong in the closing stages behind MISS RUBY SUNSHINE last start. Working hard in the breeze the start prior, she can descend on them here.

COOL AND CALCULATING (8) will need a rub of the green from this alley but if she can find the space when required, she can make a closing play. Running top-2 in all 5 outings here at The Creek since arriving in Qld, she was nabbed in the last stride after working hard from gate 7 last start. She will be probing for openings.

ICE PICK ANGIE (7) eased from this same gate last start over the 2138m and the tempo up front made it tough for anything to make any ground. Runner-up the start prior, she can be chiming in.

KOTARE ELITE (2) has a pair of wins and 3 minors in her past 6 outings, the latest when working home in nice order for the bronze behind BRITNEY JANE. With some early hustle, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: NIMAH FRANCO (10), COOL AND CALCULATING (8), ICE PICK ANGIE (7), KOTARE ELITE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: NIMAH FRANCO (10) to win

RACE FOUR

KENSINGTON BILL (8) has hit the board in 6 of his 8 appearances here at The Creek, including a pair of victories. Easing from gate 6 last start, he settled back in the pack and with the cart home on the back of LARRY LINCOLN, running some electric closing splits in finishing with the silver. With the 2nd line options in the small field, he can arrive.

OUR MADIBA (2) was 1st up in Qld last week when sent straight to the front over the mile and was looking to score an all the way win. After the lamp lighting duties came at the expense of a sub 27 opening panel and then the same sub 27 home, it was a game effort to only go under by a half-head. The step up to the 2138m is the big query with no wins over the middle-distance from 7 attempts.

SOHO TSUNAMI (1) started from this alley last start over the mile when releasing the speed and then following throughout to hold 2nd. Forget his run the start prior, from the gate he is in the mix.

OUR BALOU (3) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when working home wide out after retreating from gate 6 in the early stages. Settling handy, he can chime into the minors.

SELECTIONS: KENSINGTON BILL (8), OUR MADIBA (2), SOHO TSUNAMI (1), OUR BALOU (3)
SUGGESTED BET: KENSINGTON BILL (8) to win

RACE FIVE

MASTER CATCH (8)
rolled forward here 3 starts back and was too strong in the closing stages in scoring a gritty win at the mile. Closing hard at his next start when grabbing 3rd behind the in-form PARAVANI, his effort was good last start with not much going his way. Following a smart beginner, he looks to get his chance to capitalise.

LARRY LINCOLN (1) found the perfect tempo last start after easing from gate 5 to secure running line position. Making his move, he swept up strongly and cruised past to arrive for victory by a half-head. That had followed a luckless effort that caught the eye and with the options from this alley, gets every chance for a repeat victory.

KANYE CRUSADER (5) steps out in Qld for the 1st time for Charlie Cini, arriving with his last win occurring back in June. Only 3m away last start when looking to lead throughout at Newcastle, he stays under notice.

COURAGEOUS SAINT (4) sat off the speed here on Tuesday and when asked the question had all the answers in taking a 2m victory in a strong 2138m time. He can be near the speed and is right in the fight in this.

SELECTIONS: MASTER CATCH (8), LARRY LINCOLN (1), KANYE CRUSADER (5), COURAGEOUS SAINT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-5-8

RACE SIX

SECRETAGENT TYCOON (3)
was sent straight to the front last start over the 2138m and seemingly with a cart full of spiders, no-one wanted to go near him. That allowed him to walk the lead time and followed with a steady opening half was always holding all the aces. Ripping up the stretch in 26.6 to an easy win, it might just be a case of rinse and repeat at the mile.

PARAVANI (1) steps up to open company and comes up with the ace gate to aid his chances at tackling this level. A winner at his past 2 starts, he took them all the way last start in a slick mile which followed an easy win from the front. With the option to take cover, he can make the rise.

LETS KATCHMEIFUCAN (7) eased to find the 1x1 trail from the five-hole last start and was facing a task as SECRETAGENT TYCOON developed the race into a turn and burn. A similar scenario dented his chances the start prior. The gate stings but he can chime in.

ROCK WITH SAM (6) was game in defeat last start when holding on for the bronze after rolling the sleeves for the tough stuff and finishing 5m away. He will be right in the fight again here.

SELECTIONS: SECRETAGENT TYCOON (3), PARAVANI (1), LETS KATCHMEIFUCAN (7), ROCK WITH SAM (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

SHANNONSTHEMAN (6)
steps out in Qld for the 1st time, joining the Charlie Cini barn, arriving with 12 career victories. Working hard when racing first over at Newcastle last start, he was not far from APHORISM over the Menangle mile 2 starts back. The gate stings but he strikes a winnable qualifier 1st up.

PROSECUTION WITNESS (5) eased to find position over this trip last start before making some tidy metres in the closing stages to grab 3rd behind the smart TIZ A SIZZLER, only beaten 5m. Putting in one to forget 2 starts back, that had followed 3 successive placings and limiting the work, he can challenge.

BOOMCHUCKALUCKA (1) faced gate 10 last start over the mile and was trying to make a closing play when 9m from the winner THEARTOFINFUSION. A slick beginner, he has the right gate, but this is his 1st look over the longer trip which brings some nagging concerns.

TWENTYEIGHTBLACK (8) is another new arrival in the Sunshine State and comes from the NSW Riverina to join Stephen Cini. With a tidy record over the middle-distance, not much went his way last start at Albury. He remains under watch in this.

SELECTIONS: SHANNONSTHEMAN (6), PROSECUTION WITNESS (5), BOOMCHUCKALUCKA (1), TWENTYEIGHTBLACK (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SHANNONSTHEMAN (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

This race shapes as a great contest with some in form performers doing battle. By virtue of the gate advantage, MAYWYNS COURAGE (1) gets his chance to capitalise. IN great touch this campaign, he backs up from a smart win here on Tuesday when charging home from back in the pack to arrive for a new career PB winning rate. Only a half-head away here 3 runs back, he looks hard to stop.

ROCKITA (5) tackled a mares qualifier last start when making the most of the front-line speed to get across from gate 7, take control and lead all the way. Chasing hard all the way to hold 2nd behind the flying MISS RUBY SUNSHINE the start prior, she steps up against the boys here but is up to the challenge.

THEARTOFINFUSION (8) made the most of conditions last start when securing the 1x1 trail before sprinting hard and putting up a 9m winning margin when breaking clear. From the gate he will be probing to offer.

MONTANA CHIEF (9) has been running some slick closing sectionals in recent weeks, charging home in his races, hitting the board in 7 of his past 9. Only 1m from BLACKSADANCE last time out, with some tempo up front he can feature.

SELECTIONS: MAYWYNS COURAGE (1), ROCKITA (5), THEARTOFINFUSION (8), MONTANA CHIEF (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MAYWYNS COURAGE (1) to win

RACE NINE

Taking great benefit from his 1st up run last week when charging home in some slippery closing splits, MAJESTIC SIMON (7) can look to turn the tables on his conqueror of last week GARLAND GREENE. Within 2m of the victory last start, he had trialled in sharp order in readiness for his return and can power over the top of them in this.

GARLAND GREENE (8) finished best to claim a smart victory over the 2138m from the mobile here 2 starts back. Following that up with a stylish victory from the 40m tape over the middle-distance last week, he is pushed back to the 50m tape here. Over the longer trip, he will be closing hard to challenge.

MATATOKI (1) started safely before opting for the trail last time and then used the passing lane to be close-up behind them. The longer trip is not his preferred but with the right run he is in the mix.

GREG THE GREAT (6) was safely away last start and was soon up outside the leader from his 20m starting tape. Working hard in the run, he was grinding it out when only 5m in arrears. He can feature again.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC SIMON (7), GARLAND GREENE (8), MATATOKI (1), GREG THE GREAT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC SIMON (7) to win

RACE TEN

DANCE IN THE SUN (3)
returns to kick-off her 3YO term after a 2YO season that netted 3 wins and a 2nd in 5 outings. Showing her share of talent, she claimed a feature in the Summer Carnival when defeating the likes of JASPER and MANILA PLAYBOY. With a smart pipe-opener at the trials, she has the gate to capitalise.

CAPTAINS PICK (7) added another minor to his tally last time out when again finding the pocket trail from a wide gate. That made it successive runs where he was able to secure that position and he was only a half-neck from the in-form JINGLES BROMAC. The gate is a stinger, but he is crying out for a 3YO win and can throw it down here.

SCOTCH EN ICE (5) started from gate 10 here on Tuesday and from back in the pack was trying to make closing ground when grabbing the bronze behind BONDI SHAKE. The smaller field size is in his favour and he can be strong late.

BONDI SHAKE (4) had the perfect trip here on Tuesday in behind the leader before taking every step of the stretch to arrive on the wire to score. A tidy 2nd 3 runs back, the return to his own age suits.

SELECTIONS: DANCE IN THE SUN (3), CAPTAINS PICK (7), SCOTCH EN ICE (5), BONDI SHAKE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: DANCE IN THE SUN (3) to win
