FORM ANALYSIS BY DARREN CLAYTON

Speed maps are based on recent and anticipated racing patterns. For important changes of tactics which may affect the accuracy of this speed map follow @QRICstewards on Twitter.

RACE ONE

HEART OF CHANGE (2)
returns to start her 4YO term and finds a good target to start the season. At her last run of her 3YO term she was put out of play in the Redcliffe Sales 3YO final which has proven to be a strong form race. With a solid trial effort to prepare for this, she can return in style.

THE FORMULA ONE (5) will look to exploit any 1st up queries of the 2 and has the race fitness advantage. Last start he took them all the way over the sprint trip when finding the front from gate 3. Two starts back he worked hard when 3rd from this same gate and can throw down a challenge.

SELECTIONS: HEART OF CHANGE (2), THE FORMULA ONE (5), IM ISABELLA (1), JULES AND DENISE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HEART OF CHANGE (2) to win

RACE TWO

IPANEMA BEACH (1) resumes for her 4YO term after striking trouble at her last run at 3YO. Leading in to that run she was racing well including a tough run when down the line in a Gold Pot final. She has trialled 3 time to prepare with the 3rd of those a much sharper effort. From the gate in this line-up she gets every chance.

CAUSE A BIG SCENE (3) will be further improved for 2 runs here at Redcliffe since arriving in Qld. Last start he was sent forward early from the 2nd line to find the breeze when 10m from FLIPPA PENNY. From the gate he can settle close to the speed and be fighting on late.

SELECTIONS: IPANEMA BEACH (1), CAUSE A BIG SCENE (3), PRIVATE JUJON (5), NOT ALWAYS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: IPANEMA BEACH (1) to win

RACE THREE

ITS ALL GO (2) has been in the money at 6 of his past 7 starts and lands the right gate to give them something to chase. Last start he looked to take them all the way and was grabbed late by the in-form WHAT A FLIGHT. From the two-hole he can pounce on the front and will looking to dictate.

LEVI JADE (5) started from gate 6 last start and was working home wide off the track and may have finished even closer than the 7m margin with a cleaner shot. He had met some tougher races prior to that and with the right luck from the gate can feature.

SELECTIONS: ITS ALL GO (2), LEVI JADE (5), MY AJAYE (9), LOCKTON ART (7)
SUGGESTED BET:  ITS ALL GO (2) to win

RACE FOUR

WHAT A FLIGHT (3)
has been in the money at 6 of her past 8 starts including 2 wins in that period. Settling with running line cover here last week she finished too strongly for a 2m victory. With a strong closing sprint when saved the last shot, she can position handy and be ready for the last shot.

TIME TRAVELLER (5) is on the short back-up after taking on a race at AP on Tues. He struggled to make ground last start behind WHAT A FLIGHT. That followed a strong win when launching from the 2nd line and he has some claims to taking this.

SELECTIONS: WHAT A FLIGHT (3), TIME TRAVELLER (5), ROCKNROLL AMBER (6), ROCKWITH THEDEVIL (7)
SUGGESTED BET: WHAT A FLIGHT (3) to win

RACE FIVE

COLADA RAINBOW (3) might have 4 duck-eggs next to his name and has been beaten some big margins, but he is one-trick pony that doesn’t like it when conditions don’t suit. He gets the chance to be 1st to the pegs today and from the front is where he does his best work. He can be a big improver.

XTRAORDINARY LOMBO (10) will strip fitter from his latest run which was his 2nd run back from a break. With nit a great deal of mid-race pressure in this, he can be sent forward in the early stages to get into the action and in an open event be right in the mix.

SELECTIONS: COLADA RAINBOW (3), XTRAORDINARY LOMBO (10), LEO THE LION (5), KYLIE BROMAC (6)
SUGGESTED BET: COLADA RAINBOW (3) each-way

RACE SIX

HERITAGE BEACH (8)
was chasing down a hat-trick here last start when working wide off the track from gate 6 and fading sharply. Forgiven for that run, his 2 wins prior to that were handy efforts with both from 2nd line gates. Drawn to follow out a slick beginner he can settle handy to the front and will take some beating.

PALE BEAR BOO (9) worked home nicely here 2 starts back when finishing mid-field but was only 7m from the winner. His win last start was a career best win rate when sent forward from gate 4 and working to the front kept the tempo on all the way clearing out for a massive 38m victory. Anything near that performance and he takes this.

SELECTIONS: HERITAGE BEACH (8), PALE BEAR BOO (9), LONG DIRT ROAD (2), KATNISS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HERITAGE BEACH (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

ZALTA (7) will need some luck from this gate but following the good beginner just needs to get to the lane with momentum. Last start he finished strongly from well back over the 2138m trip at AP and arrived in time to score. With plenty of sped off the front he just needs to get the lane.

CALCAVADO (9) finished hard along the passing lane last start to arrive on the line for a sprint trip victory. That followed successive 2nd placed runs and with the tempo on here, look for him swooping home in the closing stages.

SELECTIONS: ZALTA (7), CALCAVADO (9), JAZZY ARTIST (5), MASTER MONTANA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ZALTA (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

CROWNING GLORY (1)
was a tough 2nd at AP 2 starts back when facing the breeze and dug in to get within a half-head of victory. He followed that with an all the way win over the 1660m and was never in danger. From the ace gate he will be looking to take them all the way.

FIERY BLUE CHIP (7) should secure the perfect trail and will be ready to issue a challenge when the gaps present. 3rd up from a spell over the 1780, he went straight to the front from gate 3 and was in complete control to hang on. Beaten by the barrier last start he will take the closing shot.

SELECTIONS: CROWNING GLORY (1), FIERY BLUE CHIP (7), MAGOOGAN (2), CHEERS KATHY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1-2-7-8
