RACE TWO

CHERRYS THE BEST (2) made a strong return to the track to kick-off her 3YO term when facing the breeze and putting away the subsequent winner LIFES BLACK. Showing good progression through her 2YO term, she lands a good marble here and with the added fitness can look to go back-to-back.

IFYOUBELIEVE (1) will find this harder than what he has been facing but lands the gate to aid his chances. Finishing strongly last start to claim a Marburg victory, he was grabbed in the closing stages here 4 starts back by the in-form MONTANA CHIEF when looking to lead throughout.

MACHITELLI (5) will be tightened from her return to the track when sitting in the pocket trail and finishing 2m from MORROCH BAY. A strong winner from the breeze 2 starts back she is in the mix.

MISS BLUE GLORY (9) will take good benefit from her maiden Aus start when wide off the track from the 2nd line and hitting the line in good order. With a nice trail through at the start she has claims.

SELECTIONS: CHERRYS THE BEST (2), IFYOUBELIEVE (1), MACHITELLI (5), MISS BLUE GLORY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: CHERRYS THE BEST (2) to win

RACE THREE

MISS INVASION (14) doesn’t have the most impressive of numbers next to her name but this looks to be the right type of race to break her Qld duck. She did her share of work at Redcliffe 3 starts back and made an error at her next run. With the 10m back-mark, she is worth a ticket in this.

GALAXY HUNTER (13) was charging to the line here 2 starts back over the mobile 2138m trip and was beaten a pimple. Taken to Marburg last start he was sent forward to find the front from a 20m impost and just ran out of steam late. Another that will benefit from the conditions of this.

SOMEDASH (9) stepped to the front before releasing over the 2280m at Redcliffe 4 starts back and went within a half-head of victory. Luckless at her next 2 starts she has podium claims with even luck.

SCHIPPERS (1) has shown good improvement since arriving in Qld and has placed at her past 2 starts. Stepping cleanly in her past 2 and releasing the front she was best of the chasers last start and can repeat.

SELECTIONS: MISS INVASION (14), GALAXY HUNTER (13), SOMEDASH (9), SCHIPPERS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS INVASION (14) each-way

RACE FOUR

PARAVANI (5)
makes his Qld debut and will be 1st up since racing on NZ Cup day when finishing mid-field behind the handy BETTOR MY DREAMZ. He comes into this without a local trial to sharpen but going off his NZ performances there is enough to suggest that he can go close on debut.

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (3) returns to start his 3YO term after a tidy effort during his maiden season that produced a pair of wins, highlighted by his season ending Triad consolation victory. Opening the pipes in a recent trial, he can look to get forward early and throw down the challenge.

REGAL ROCK (1) will take good benefit from his return after starting from a wide gate and working home in good order behind MONTANA CHIEF. The gate is a big plus here with this the stronger of 2 heats for this series.

LEFT A TERROR (7) went straight to the front over the 2138m here 2 starts back and once in control kept the tempo strong to score a nice win. Forced to work last start he looks set for another tough run.

SELECTIONS: PARAVANI (5), ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (3), REGAL ROCK (1), LEFT A TERROR (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

MORROCH BAY (1) will strip fitter following his return to the track last start where he was able to lead all the way over the mile. Lightly raced he will need to step up again here against some in-form opponents however with a gate advantage he can look to pounce on the pegs and dictate.

MONTANA CHIEF (4) took a few starts to find his groove but is now starting to put it all together with wins in 4 of his past 5 starts. Too strong from the front last start when leading all the way over the 2138m, he hit the line strongly from back in the pack at Redcliffe 2 starts back. He can challenge.

PACIFIC DRUMS (11) was a strong Redcliffe winner 2 starts back when sent to the breeze from gate 6 and packed too many guns with a strong closing 800m split. Not aided from this gate he can place.

OUR MEMPHIS MAC (8) hit the line well from a long way back to claim the silver 2 starts back. Forget his latest run when striking gear trouble, he will get a cosy trip and can look for the podium.

SELECTIONS: MORROCH BAY (1), MONTANA CHIEF (4), PACIFIC DRUMS (11), OUR MEMPHIS MAC (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MORROCH BAY (1) to win

RACE SIX

STIRLING WILLIAM (4)
has placed in his past 2 and in another typically open claimer he looks to get a gate advantage over what look to be his main dangers. 2 starts back he took on a conditioned race and from the trail held on for the silver and then didn’t get the best of luck last start. He can atone.

COMPLY OR DIE (6) chased gamely from gate 12 last start when not suited but still the run had merit under the circumstances. Buried in the run 2 starts back he went within 5m of the winner CHANGE OF MIND. With the speed to fire out and look for the front, he will give cheek if finding the pegs.

RORY MACH (8) loves to get a cosy trip and be saved for the closing shot and gets conditions to suit here. The last claiming challenge final winner when using inside lines, he will be swooping late.

OUR MELS DREAM (7) doesn’t have many favours from this gate but he is not far from a victory when he gets the right conditions. Runner-up at his past 2 starts look for him finishing strongly.

SELECTIONS: STIRLING WILLIAM (4), COMPLY OR DIE (6), RORY MACH (8), OUR MELS DREAM (7)
SUGGESTED BET: STIRLING WILLIAM (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

GOT THE GOODS (3) was angled to the pegs last start to look for short-cuts when finding the line in good order behind the all-the-way winner GOLDEN YEAR. Luckless from a wide gate the start prior behind LISA LINCOLN, he had been meeting stronger performers and from the gate can look to dictate with the distance the only query.

MOTU REAL STYLE (1) was locked away on the pegs last start at Redcliffe and once the space arrived the race was gone. A tough winner from the breeze over the sprint trip 5 starts back, she can look to get a cosy run in transit here and be poised to take the snipers shot.

HE GETS IT (5) has had 4 runs back from a break and not seen much luck in any of them. His run 2 back had merit when stuck for position and with some better luck here can look to find the podium.

PLATINUM ART (8) was locked away on the pegs last start and looks set to get similar cosy run here. Winless in over 12 months, the soft run can see him land in some money.

SELECTIONS: GOT THE GOODS (3), MOTU REAL STYLE (1), HE GETS IT (5), PLATINUM ART (8)
SUGGESTED BET: GOT THE GOODS (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

LINCOLN ROAD (5)
has struck form and shoots for the hat-trick after successive Redcliffe and AP wins. Last start over the 1660m trip he hit the line strongly to arrive for a classy win running some strong closing sections. With some strong tempo looking on offer he can look to arrive for the prize.

THE BOYS GNP (2) has taken on qualifiers at his past 2 starts and been unplaced although beaten 5m and 6m in each. That followed a smart streak of form that included wins in 5 of his previous 8 starts and with a good gate can look to take full advantage.

ONLY ONE PROMISE (1) worked home with inside runs 2 starts back and was only 5m from the winner THE BOYS GNP. Working in the breeze last start he has the options here and can feature.

LIFEONTHEBEACH (3) rolled forward to the breeze from gate 7 last start and fought gamely when finishing 5m from the winner CHARMING MAJOR. With the improved gate he will be in the fight.

SELECTIONS: LINCOLN ROAD (5), THE BOYS GNP (2), ONLY ONE PROMISE (1), LIFEONTHEBEACH (3)
SUGGESTED BET: LINCOLN ROAD (5) to win

RACE NINE

TED WEST (1)
had a look for the pegs last start from gate 3 before finding cover and finishing 8m from the winner COURAGEOUS LEO in a qualifier. Working hard in the breeze at his previous 2 starts, he can look to make the most of the inside alley and dictate to these.

ONE MANS PASS (8) handed over the front here 2 starts back and was soon locked away and didn’t see space when needed. That followed a similar run along the pegs and looking for space, a run that he looks set to get here. Saved for one shot he will be trying to muster the momentum.

MISTER JOGALONG (11) was against the tempo last start when trying to make ground from a long way back when the winner ripped home from the front. A long way back 2 starts back, with even luck he can feature.

RUATO BAY (9) was a Redcliffe winner 4 starts back when working hard in the run and hasn’t been far away in recent starts from tough gates. He can look for the pegs here and be making a late charge.

SELECTIONS: TED WEST (1), ONE MANS PASS (8), MISTER JOGALONG (11), RUATO BAY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: TED WEST (1) to win

RACE TEN

BLINGITTOTHEMAX (3)
was 3rd up from a break over the mile here 2 starts back and found his race when pouncing on the pegs and never looking in danger to claim a 14m victory. He had a shot from gate 7 last start before tucking in for cover and only beaten a neck. He can look to dictate here.

CC JONES (1) didnt see the cleanest passage last start from the 2nd line when claiming the bronze behind TUESDAYS FELLA. He worked hard in the breeze at his previous 2 starts and with the options here can look for the cosy trip and be coiled and ready to strike.

BANGKOK BRAVADO (9) had been to the races 3 times since returning from a spell and made the most of finding an easier line-up last start with a strong win. With the right run he can chime in late.

LISA LINCOLN (10) was an easy winner from the front over the mile here 2 starts back when 2nd up from a break. Last start she set a slick tempo in front when gunned down late and she can chase into the money here.

SELECTIONS: BLINGITTOTHEMAX (3), CC JONES (1), BANGKOK BRAVADO (9), LISA LINCOLN (10)
SUGGESTED BET: BLINGITTOTHEMAX (3) to win
