Winning at Redcliffe on a Wednesday night took on a whole new meaning for a number of Queensland participants who shared in $16,500 worth of QBRED Cash and bonuses last night.

Perseverence paid off for connections of the Don Hancock-trained ‘Miss Invasion NZ’ when she finally broke through to win at her 19th Queensland start in the last event.

And, in doing so, she became the second trotter this season to win a $2000 Bonus for square gaiters scoring their first Queensland win.

She had previously clocked up four seconds and a third, so the win was certainly not out of turn.

Also sharing in the Cash Bonuses was the Lola Weidemann mare Always A Jewel, and two four-year-olds with similar quirky names; the Ryan Veivers-trained GETOUTNWALK and the Tim Gillespie-trained GETINANHANGON.

The powerful Chantal Turpin stable struck the quinella in the 3yo with the Auckland Reactor filly TORQUE WITH ESTEEM breaking through for you driver Reece Maguire and pocketing a $7,500 Qbred for veteran owner / breeder Ian Corazzol.
