RACE TWO

Despite landing the extreme front-line gate, CHERRYS THE BEST (7) can live up to her name in this contest. Forced to race tough in splitting the prize in a dead-heat result against some handy mares 2 starts back, she was wide for a long way last start in a mares qualifier. This looks well within reach.

WHERES THE SPIRIT (10) went to the pegs last start looking for the short-cuts and was hitting the line in good order when 6m from the winner SPEECHCRAFT. Pressing on to the front over this trip 2 starts back, he was too strong and with his best work over the middle distance, he can challenge.

BANGKOK BRAVADO (2) made the most of gate 1 here last start over the sprint when holding the front and taking them all the way. Locked away the start prior, he can get a nice trip and has claims.

LIVING GRAND (1) was a winner over this trip when leading all the way from this same gate 3 starts back. Down the line in his past couple, he can hustle to protect the poles and is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: CHERRYS THE BEST (7), WHERES THE SPIRIT (10), BANGKOK BRAVADO (2), LIVING GRAND (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CHERRYS THE BEST (7) to win

RACE THREE

IM NO OUTLAW (1) hasn’t had much go his way in recent starts and could have been closer than the 6m margin last start with better luck. Eased back from gate 5 the start prior when a long way back and strong to the line in the closing stages. With the peg-line benefits, he gets a breakthrough chance.

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (9) started from the 2nd line here 2 starts back and was giving the leading pack a big start when making his charge. Hitting dead-ends he never saw any space to make a challenge. Only 4m away last start again when devoid of luck, he can turn it around here.
SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (2) will line up for the new barn following a switch and has trialled in good order for this assignment. Not too far away last start from the 2nd line at Redcliffe, he stays under notice.

KEAYANG SPONGE BOB (8) worked to the front last start over the 2138m trip and keeping an even tempo over the mile, faded in the closing stages. With the cheap run on offer, he can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: IM NO OUTLAW (1), RECIPE FOR DREAMING (9), SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (2), KEAYANG SPONGE BOB (8)
SUGGESTED BET: IM NO OUTLAW (1) to win

RACE FOUR

in a tricky race to line-up where those wider and 2nd line look to hold the power, NIFTY STUDLEIGH (11) might just be able to get the right trip to prevail. A winner from the passing lane here 4 starts back, he was down the line at his next 2 before grabbing the silver last start behind BANGKOK BRAVADO.

MEGA STAR (6) eased back from gate 5 last start over the Redcliffe 2040m when starting fav. Settling back in the pack, he made a strong surge to cruise past them and take a big 10m winning margin. The wide gate hurts here, but with the right cart home can make a challenge.

OASIS DREAM (4) was buried 3 back on the pegs from inside the 2nd line here on Tues when probing for space and finishing 5m in arrears. Too far back the start prior from gate 6, he can’t be dismissed.

HIGH ON MONTANA (5) progressed to the Rising Stars Final last start after a tidy effort from gate 7 in the heat. They were too sharp for him in the Final but back to this grade looks suitable.

SELECTIONS: NIFTY STUDLEIGH (11), MEGA STAR (6), OASIS DREAM (4), HIGH ON MONTANA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: NIFTY STUDLEIGH (11) to win

RACE FIVE

BRONSKI MACARENA (1) has been to the track twice since resuming with both outings coming on the triangle at Redcliffe. 1st up she was sound to the line from a wide gate and ticked off the barrier embargo to get back into the draw. 4m away when 2nd up, she can take control here and gets every chance to open her account.

FOREVER ROCKING (7) eased back from gate 7 last start when settling back in the pack. With an electric tempo resulting in a 1.52.4 mile taken by VENUS JUJON, she garnered further experience in following them home. Despite the wide gate, this is much easier and she can be thereabouts.

MISTER ARTIKULATE (10) can do plenty of things wrong, but when he can put it together a win won’t be too far away. Only 3m away last start when powering home, he backs up from Wed at Redcliffe.

FEEL THE THRILL (8) had been runner-up in successive starts heading into his latest outing when fading after working hard in the breeze. With an easy trip in this, he can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: BRONSKI MACARENA (1), FOREVER ROCKING (7), MISTER ARTIKULATE (10), FEEL THE THRILL (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BRONSKI MACARENA (1) to win

RACE SIX

SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (8) will need a few factors in his favour, but should he see space in time, is capable of charging home to snare the prize. Buried in the run last start he was attacking the line with vigour to get within a nose-hair of victory behind SIR JUJON. If the gaps open, he can arrive.

BARA HALLEY (2) settled in the pocket trail last start and couldn’t go on with it in the latter stages after the easy trip. Not too far away the start prior when doing some early work, she can look to find a forward position here and can be much sharper out in front in this line-up.

REMEMBER ME NOW (9) returned for his 3YO term in fine style with an all the way victory over the mile. Struggling in his 3 runs since the return, from wide gates in strong races, he can turn it around.

MISTER COLE (3) returns for the start of his 3YO term after a two-win freshman season. Luckless at his last outing in the APG Sales race, he has a handy trial to prepare for this and can feature fresh.

SELECTIONS: SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (8), BARA HALLEY (2), REMEMBER ME NOW (9), MISTER COLE (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

He can be a frustrating horse to follow but if IM THE COMMANDO (9) can bring his A-Game, this is the type of race he can claim. Stepping to the front from the 10m tape over the long trip 3 starts back he packed too many guns to score. Down the line at his next 2, he gets his chance here.

ALS LAW (8) will need some luck, from this gate, but if able to angle into space with track at hand, looms as a big danger. A smart winner 2 starts back, he was only 6m away last start against the stronger trotters and only needs a rub of the green to make a strong challenge.

MISTER GUNSEN (7) has the wide gate but can fly the arm and over the mile will be best suited. He faded last start over the longer 2138m when spearing across from this same gate to take control and going too hard in the early stages. His run from the tapes the start prior had merit and he is a threat.

DAENERYS STORMBORN (1) resumes from a spell and brings a handy record from the mobile of 3 wins and 2 minors in 8 attempts. She tapered off last campaign but from the gate is in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: IM THE COMMANDO (9), ALS LAW (8), MISTER GUNSEN (7), DAENERYS STORMBORN (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-7-8-9

RACE EIGHT

CLOVER LOU (8) will derive further benefit from her latest appearance when tough in the breeze over the 2138m trip. Starting from a 20m tape when 1st up in Qld, she was fighting to the line when 2nd to HAVANA MAGIC and was again in for the fight last start when 3rd. This looks a winnable race.

SOH TWISTED (4) has been winless for a long time but her recent starts suggest that another victory isn’t far off with the right conditions. Stepping cleanly last start before releasing, she chased hard to hold on for the bronze. With good early manners, she can settle close enough to challenge.

MYRTLE BEACH (5) has been freshened since her last appearance when buried in the run and fading out over the longer 2647m trip. Not far away in 3rd at Redcliffe 2 starts back, she has podium claims.

LAVROS SEGIL (10) has the 50m to negotiate here but with the right cart into the contest can be in the mix. Only 4m away behind MAKIN GOOD last start, he can be thereabouts once again.

SELECTIONS: CLOVER LOU (8), SOH TWISTED (4), MYRTLE BEACH (5), LAVROS SEGIL (10)
SUGGESTED BET: CLOVER LOU (8) to win

RRACE NINE

WHERES SEGGY (3) has been to the track twice since returning this season and will be further tightened as he looks for a maiden breaking victory. Grabbed in the closing stages when leading 1st up here at the mile, he wasn’t entirely comfortable at Redcliffe last start. He can give cheek in front.

BRIGHTON PRINCE (1) returns to kick off his 3YO season after his 2YO term ended when down the line in the Brisbane APG Sale race. Well beaten at his past 2 outings, he has returned with a tidy trial hit-out and landing the peg-line benefits here can make an impression 1st up.

FEARLESS FAITH (2) is another returning to the track after 6 starts at 2YO that netted a win and 2 minors. Her victory was a smart win and she can return in good order against these.

CORINDHAP CREEK (5) was smart winner at Marburg on Monday when finishing over the top after starting from the 2nd line. Fitter again following 2 runs back, look for him chiming in again here.

SELECTIONS: WHERES SEGGY (3), BRIGHTON PRINCE (1), FEARLESS FAITH (2), CORINDHAP CREEK (5)
SUGGESTED BET:
