RACE TWO

TRACES OF TARA (5) settled back in the pack last start from gate 6 when looking to work into the race in the closing stages to be mid-field. Fading after working hard in the breeze he start prior, she can hustle early and if able to touchdown with the lamp lighting duties will get her chance to score.

IM SANDY BAY (6) ended a frustrating run to finally breakthrough for victory here 3 starts back when cruising on by to take a 12m margin. Fighting hard for the bronze in red figures at her next start, she returns to an outside draw for her manners last time but can still challenge against these.

ITS YOU NOT ME (1) is on the back-up from getting on the grass at Kilcoy on Monday where he looked a place player from the ace. With a cosy run available again here, look for him making a closing play.

WECANONLYHOPE (3) should appreciate this class of contest after taking on some stronger types at AP at her past 2 starts, the latest there on Tues. Finding position cheaply, she can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: TRACES OF TARA (5), IM SANDY BAY (6), ITS YOU NOT ME (1), WECANONLYHOPE (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

This main hopes in this race look to be drawn wide and off the 2nd line meaning race tactics will be key to their chances. Backing up from the turf at Kilcoy on Monday, A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (8) will need to work into the race at some stage, yet he looks to get his chance. 3rd to MONTANA LAD 2 starts back, he might just be able to end the long winless streak.

REDBANK RENDEZVOUS (7)
has faced the starter on 3 occasions since arriving in Qld and last start was banished to the trials. Switching barns to Mitchell Dawson, he earned the ticket back to the track and while needing some luck from this gate, finds the right race to challenge.

MHAI UPTOWN GIRL (6) has started twice since arriving in Aus, the latest when locked away on the pegs at Marburg from an inside 2nd line gate. Only beaten a head when 1st up, she is in the mix here.

KID CALVERT (1) faded out last start after securing the pocket trail from this gate over the 2040m trip. The return to the mile suits and with the early options can be sharper in this.

SELECTIONS: A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (8), REDBANK RENDEZVOUS (7), MHAI UPTOWN GIRL (6), KID CALVERT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (8) to win

RACE FOUR

SHADYS DELIGHT (3)
has been to the track 5 times this term as he looks to open his 3YO account and on each occasion, he has been forced to take on some handy performers. His run for 2nd 3 starts back was a nice effort behind the smart TIZ A SIZZLER and he finds the right conditions here to strike.

NESTERS HILL (1) will be tightened from his latest outing when returning from a break without a trial to prepare. Doing it tough outside the leader at Marburg, he was strong to the line in a 2m defeat. With the soft trip on offer against the poles, he can be in the mix when it heats up in the stretch.

BARBOO (2) worked to the front last start from gate 3 over this trip and setting a steady tempo was collared in the closing stages. Taking benefit from that hit-out, look for more improvement here.

LEFTHOOKRIGHTCROSS (10) will take good experience from his race debut last start when hitting the line strongly when within 2m of the winner. With even luck in transit he can feature here.

SELECTIONS: SHADYS DELIGHT (3), NESTERS HILL (1), BARBOO (2), LEFTHOOKRIGHTCROSS (10)
SUGGESTED BET: SHADYS DELIGHT (3) to win

RACE FIVE

BEEJAYS DELIGHT (7) was content to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way in the breeze at Marburg 3 starts back when proving too strong in claiming victory. He backed that up with another tough run when 7m in arrears of STUDLEIGH WILL and with the cosy trip here can fire a closing shot.

MAGHERA MAGGIE (1) earns her ticket back into the main draw after finding difficulty in keeping it together in the early stages recently. As a result, this will be her best gate in a long time and gives her the opportunity to capitalise. Finding the line in good style last start, this looks her chance to cash-in.

WILLSINTOWN (8) was a winner here 3 starts back when finishing best from the running line after starting from this same gate. Too far back last start, look for him swooping home late.

CANDYFLOSS (3) was too strong here 2 starts back when taking control of the race from the breeze and fighting hard to claim the win. Locked away last start, she will be right in the fight again here.

SELECTIONS: BEEJAYS DELIGHT (7), MAGHERA MAGGIE (1), WILLSINTOWN (8), CANDYFLOSS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BEEJAYS DELIGHT (7) to win

RACE SIX

After 16 months off the scene, SONNY SAVEAO (9) could not have been any more impressive when returning an all the way winner after zipping home a slick last 800m in front. He faces a rise here and lands the 2nd line gate, but with the added fitness, he can make it 2 from 2 this campaign.

IMPETUOSO (7) was a winner here 3 starts back when rolling to the breeze from gate 5 and digging in for the fight was able to see it out. Not suited off the 2nd line in his 2 runs since, his efforts have been mixed of late. With the chance of following the likely leader, he can be ready to strike late.

RANCHO MAN (3) did some work in the run over the AP mile 2 starts back when fading in the closing stages. His run here 3 starts back was a tidy effort from gate 9 when 6m away and he can feature.

BIG IN AMERICA (1) led them up here 2 starts back from gate 3 over the longer 2040m trip but couldn’t see it out. Backing up from Kilcoy on Monday, she will be gripping on in the stretch.

SELECTIONS: SONNY SAVEAO (9), IMPETUOSO (7), RANCHO MAN (3), BIG IN AMERICA (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SONNY SAVEAO (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

STUDLEIGH WILL (3) was shooting for the hat-trick on Sat night when forced to settle for the silver. Taking them all the way here 3 starts back over this trip, he then claimed a heat of the Marburg to Albion Series. Finding the front in the final he was grabbed up the passing lane. He can bounce back.

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (5) eased back from gate 7 over the AP 2138m last start and was a long way back looking for luck along the poles that didn’t eventuate in a much tougher contest. He found the line strongly the start prior at Marburg and with a strong tempo, he is the off-pace runner to look for.

MAYWYN NO REGRETS (4) was shuffled back along the pegs here last time out and when the space opened, she closed hard to grab the win. Finding position cheaply will be key to her hopes here.

NON PASSARE (2) might have his chances dictated within the first 250m. If he can muster the speed to find the front, he will take plenty of catching with his past 2 runs in much stronger company full of merit.

SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH WILL (3), TOO GOOD FOR YOU (5), MAYWYN NO REGRETS (4), NON PASSARE (2)
SUGGESTED BET:
