RACE TWO

KISS CAM (3) found the running line last start from the 2nd line and was hitting the line well when 2nd to THE HARLEM HAMMER. Not suited the start prior when locked away on the pegs, he is at his best when able to roll along in front and from this gate can look to take control.

CONDAFEW (9) is going better than his numbers suggest and on Sat night was probing for gaps that didn’t appear until it was too late. Within 5m of the winner in that event, he was tough in the breeze the start prior at Tamworth. With even luck in transit he can be making a late challenge.

MISTER HART (2) made the most of a cosy trip last start to take the closing shot and arrive for the prize. His run was solid the start prior in the Christmas Cup and he is in the mix again here.

JUST ROKIN (6) is in great touch and shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins here over the 2040m. Too tough last start in the breeze, she can lay down a strong challenge once again.

SELECTIONS: KISS CAM (3), CONDAFEW (9), MISTER HART (2), JUST ROKIN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: KISS CAM (3) to win

RACE THREE

GUPTAS CULLEN (2) pressed forward to take up the running on the grass at Kilcoy 2 starts back and from the front was too sharp in cruising home to a big 27m margin. Starting fav here last start, she didn’t have the speed to get across when 4m in arrears. Taking control, she can take them all the way.

TAYLOR HOOD (8) eased back from gate 6 last start to find position and was strong to the line when 8m away from MISTER HART. The start prior from gate 9 over the AP mile he was working home in good order to be within 1.5m of IFOUNDTHEBEACH. Trailing through early, he can challenge.

ONYAJANS (1) was a grass track winner 2 starts back when arriving to take the prize. Not entirely suited from gate 5 last time, she is effective when saved for a closing shot and will be stalking here.

JOANNIES GIRL (4) pressed forward to the breeze from gate 6 here last start and was in for the fight when only a neck away from the winner. A mares winner the start prior, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: GUPTAS CULLEN (2), TAYLOR HOOD (8), ONYAJANS (1), JOANNIES GIRL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GUPTAS CULLEN (2) to win

RACE FOUR

ANDREW JAY (3)
was a winner from the 2nd line here 2 starts back when finding a suitable target at his 3rd start since arriving in Qld. Finishing best for a narrow win, he was then buried in the run last start from inside the 2nd line. He can take control and looks to get his chance.

LETS DIG IT (5) went to the pegs last start to look for some luck in transit when using the passing lane, he was closing strongly to be 5m from the winner. Forget his run on the grass 2 starts back and forgive the tough run 3 back. Saved for a closing shot he can be much sharper this time around.

GIGANTIC JASPER (4) is having a consistent season with a top-three in 6 of 8 outings. Buried away from inside the 2nd line last start, he can use his early moves to find position here and has claims.

ALOT OF COST (6) doesn’t have many favours from the wide gate, but if he can find position cheaply, this is the type of race he can feature in. A tidy 3rd to LETS DIG IT 2 starts back, he won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: ANDREW JAY (3), LETS DIG IT (5), GIGANTIC JASPER (4), ALOT OF COST (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

MONTANA EXPRESS (10) can be a risk in the early stages with his starting manners and willingness to get into position, but if on his game, he has found a winnable contest. 2 starts back over the AP mile he was a long way back when hitting the line hard for 3rd and then last start just had the tempo against him when too far back. This looks his chance.

HOLLIE (1) went to the inside from the 2nd line last start to look for the cheap runs and was able to grab the silver behind GIRL ON THE GO. Chasing home behind the in-form HADLEY the start prior, she receives the peg-line benefits here and can be in the mix in the closing stages.

ROBINMEGOOD (7) resumes from a freshen and will line up for the Mal Charlton barn for the 1st time. Hitting the line in good order last start after snagging back from a wide gate, he will be probing.

FAVOURITEHIGHLIGHT (8) made an error last start when returning to kick-off her 3YO term and lost her chance. Making a break at her last start of her 2YO season, if she gets it right, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MONTANA EXPRESS (10), HOLLIE (1), ROBINMEGOOD (7), FAVOURITEHIGHLIGHT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTANA EXPRESS (10) to win

RACE SIX

AMAYA BECOMES (6) will strip fitter following her return to the track to kick-off her 3YO term. From gate 6 she did some early to work to find position and was strong to the line in a sub 28 closing panel behind the smart looking DOUBLE OR NOTHING. With a smart record thus far, she can overcome the gate.

MAJOR LUCKY (8) didn’t have much go his way last start and a flat tyre helped contribute to his woes. Finishing 9m from the winner GOLD REACTOR over the AP 2138m in that, his run the start prior when 1st up for the new barn was a tidy effort behind MISS MONEYBAGS. He can take this.

IAM THE JOKER (2) is sharp off the arm and from this gate looks set to be in charge of things early. Holding on for 2nd here 2 starts back when HADLEY cleared out, he will be gripping on again.

CANDYFLOSS (4) tried to take them all the way from gate 1 last start in a mares contest when nabbed up the passing lane. 2nd here 2 starts back, she can settle handy and has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: AMAYA BECOMES (6), MAJOR LUCKY (8), IAM THE JOKER (2), CANDYFLOSS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: AMAYA BECOMES (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

TORQUE TO THE MAX (1) was doing plenty of work last start when cutting the breeze and put some speed into the race through the 3rd split. Fading under the pressure to be just beyond mid-field in that, she strikes a winnable contest here and with the peg-line benefits will get every chance.

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (10) doesn’t have many favours from the 2nd line but if able to bring something near her beast, would be right in the mix here. Unable to find position from gate 5 last time she was forced to ease and was then facing a task. Not suited from gate 7 at AP the start prior, she is in this.

PATCHWORK JET (7) has the lone win to his name but lands the gate for a cheap trip here. Grabbed in the closing stages last start when leading them up, he will be coiled and ready to offer.

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (4) found the front last start from gate 3 over the sprint trip and was fighting hard when grabbed late. This is no harder and limiting the early burn she can chime into the money.

SELECTIONS: TORQUE TO THE MAX (1), CHEYENNE AUTUMN (10), PATCHWORK JET (7), WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (4)
SUGGESTED BET: TORQUE TO THE MAX (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

BONNIES CAM (2) rolled forward from gate 4 over the 2040m last start and was doing plenty of work in the run when fading out. The start prior he was forced to work when holding on for the bronze and with the gate to look for the front, can dictate to open his 3YO account here.

TIC TACT (4) took them all the way to break her maiden tag at AP 3 starts back when cruising home to a comfortable victory. Buried along the pegs 2 starts back she was always facing a task with the leader controlling the tempo and last start was beaten by gate 7. She can bounce back with a bang.

SHESFEELINPRECIOUS (7) should find this easier than her 3 runs since returning this campaign, the latest when snagging back from gate 4 to find position. 3rd to HADLEY here 2 starts back, she just needs to find some space.

GIZZMO (10) returned from 12 months off the scene to score a passing lane win here 2 starts back. Taken to a tougher AP event last time when only 8m from BETTERTHANSPRAYING, he can overcome the gate.

SELECTIONS: BONNIES CAM (2), TIC TACT (4), SHESFEELINPRECIOUS (7), GIZZMO (10)
SUGGESTED BET: BONNIES CAM (2) to win

RACE NINE

SCHOOBY (1) speared across early and finding the front then released the speed. With the perfect trip in the pocket trail, he was able to angle into space and break his maiden in nice style. With the peg-line benefits and available options once again, he can go back-to-back.

LANOCH BOY (7) struck trouble last start that ended his chances before it really even started. Placed his previous 4 starts in succession, he has been working closer to a maiden breaking win, finishing runner-up in his previous 2 starts. With the soft trip looking to be available, he can strike late.

ELSIES GIRL (3) led them up last start from gate 1 and was forced to keep the tempo rolling with pressure to her outside. Fighting on well for 3rd, she is starting to put it together and can podium again.

GIDUP DARCY (8) will be 2nd up for the season but has been kept fresh since making an error when returning back on Dec 8 as a red figure fav at Marburg. Trialling in good order since, this is well within reach.

SELECTIONS: SCHOOBY (1), LANOCH BOY (7), ELSIES GIRL (3), GIDUP DARCY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-7-8
