RACE TWO

WECANONLYHOPE (7) didn’t have much go her way last start when looking for position after being forced to restrain from gate 5. That followed a similar run 2 back when she ended up well back on the pegs. With the easy trip from the get go, she can look to the passing lane to arrive for the prize.

ELLE JAY (3) was banished to the trials last start after working in the run and fading badly over the sprint trip. The start prior she hit the line in good order after starting from the 2nd line and if able to limit the early burn, will have bullets to fire in this line-up.

KID CALVERT (1) had the speed to keep them wide last start from this gate when fading in the latter stages. With the ace gate once again, he can look to dictate and will be gripping on in the stretch.

DARTESIAN (2) was sound to the line last start behind TORQUE TO THE MAX which had followed a run where he was just too far back. He can look for a cheap run here to chime in late.

SELECTIONS: WECANONLYHOPE (7), ELLE JAY (3), KID CALVERT (1), DARTESIAN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: WECANONLYHOPE (7) to win

RACE THREE

STORM GILBERT (6) should appreciate the return to maiden company after facing experienced campaigners in 2 runs back from a break. His run had merit 1st up from gate 10 over the AP mile and last start was mid-field behind the flying JAMIES BAD BOY. The gate hurts, but if he can limit the early burn, this is within reach.

MISS GIULIETTA (3) will take benefit from her 1st up run since arriving in the Qld barn of Bianca Hooper. From inside the 2nd line she was shuffled back early and always chasing. With a tidy trial in preparation for her last start, she can utilise the improved gate to challenge here.

GEORGEZILLA (8) has placed his past 2, the latest when best of the chasers behind a tear-away quinella pairing. Gunned down the closing stages here 2 starts back, he can look to chime in.

JAMES THE JET (5) will take good benefit from his debut race start here last week. Holding the front, he only faded the latter stages and with the added experience can be thereabouts in this line-up.

SELECTIONS: STORM GILBERT (6), MISS GIULIETTA (3), GEORGEZILLA (8), JAMES THE JET (5)
SUGGESTED BET: STORM GILBERT (6) to win

RACE FOUR

BRONSKI MACARENA (3)
will take great benefit on two fronts from her 1st run this campaign. Not only will she strip fitter, she has been re-included to the main draw that will see her have the ability to utilise her speed off the arm here. Not too far away when resuming, this looks her breakthrough.

REAP THE REWARDS (8) is an Art Major 4YO on debut for Chantal Turpin out of the G1 winning mare Rhapsody In Red. A full brother to Rani Major and Raring To Go, he trialled against some proven campaigners in readiness for his debut and stays under watch here.

TUESDAYS COURAGE (2) has placed in 3 of her past 4 starts, the latest when grabbing the silver after hitting the line in good style to be 4m in arrears. Early manners will be key, but she is in the mix.

MISTER FARENHEIT (5) returns from a break and was last seen back in Sept. A leader from gate 4 over the sprint trip 2 starts back and only grabbed late, he will take benefit from the 1st up run.

SELECTIONS: BRONSKI MACARENA (3), REAP THE REWARDS (8), TUESDAYS COURAGE (2), MISTER FARENHEIT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BRONSKI MACARENA (3) to win

RACE FIVE

WILLSINTOWN (6) has no favours from the outside gate here, but he might just be on enough of a class drop to arrive. 6m in arrears of the winner PURE CHARISMA last start after having an early look but unable to cross, he struck some trouble the start prior. In what looks a race up for grabs, he can prevail.

WHERES SEGGY (9) will strip fitter following his return to start his 3YO term last start when taking on the AP sprint trip. Firing off the arm from gate 5, he set the tempo but couldn’t see it out when 6m behind the winner. The gate hurts and this is a tougher line-up, but he can charge late.

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (5) broke a frustrating run of outs to end a winless streak that had dated back to 2017 when successful here last start. With the confidence of that win, he can chime in again here.

REDBANK RENDEZVOUS (7) led them up last start over the sprint trip but was grabbed on the wire when 1.5m from the winner BARBOO. He will need some luck, but with a cosy ride has podium hopes.

SELECTIONS: WILLSINTOWN (6), WHERES SEGGY (9), A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (5), REDBANK RENDEZVOUS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: WILLSINTOWN (6) to win

RACE SIX

KWASII (2) took up the lamp lighting duties last start over this trip and after a steady opening half tried to punch it home. In a blanket finish he was 2m from the winner MAJOR LUCKY who franked that with another AP victory. Pinching a panel against these, he can see it out.

HESLUVABLE (9) has placed his past 2 starts, the latest from gate 5 over the 1980m at Tamworth when finishing 2nd to MISS CATALINA, beaten 4m. From this gate over this trip 2 starts back, he was hitting the line in nice order to be 3m from the winner. He can swoop late into the money again.

SUGARKANE (5) overcame this gate last start when packing too much power in the closing stages to take a comfortable 11m victory. This is another rise, but she is in the mix.

TELL THE FUTURE (8) was a winner here 3 starts back when leading throughout. Down the line at her next 2, she has been freshened and with the right early trail here can look to chime in.

SELECTIONS: KWASII (2), HESLUVABLE (9), SUGARKANE (5), TELL THE FUTURE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: KWASII (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

FIRE AND ICE (5) landed the pocket trail last start but couldn’t go with them in the closing stages over the AP 2138m. At the mile 2 starts back he was 8m from the winner after being buried 3 back which followed a tough run in the breeze. Kept fresh and back to the triangle, he can bob up at value against these.

ARTISTIC SAINT (2) started from the 2nd line last start and was wide off the track in a 2nd division qualifier when mid-field behind MAJOR LUCKY. Fighting hard in the breeze the start prior, he lands the gate to settle handy to the speed and will be throwing down a late challenge.

TORQUE WITH ESTEEM (1) rolled forward in the early stages last start from outside the front line and was in for the fight behind THE DOORMAN. With the peg-line benefits, she is in the mix.

DOLLARBILL (9) held the pocket trail from gate 1 last start and with the cosy trip held on for the silver behind JANIES GOT A GUN. Only 6m away the start prior, he won’t be far away again here.

SELECTIONS: FIRE AND ICE (5), ARTISTIC SAINT (2), TORQUE WITH ESTEEM (1), DOLLARBILL (9)
SUGGESTED BET: FIRE AND ICE (5) each-way

RACE EIGHT

JUST ROKIN (5) has been in super touch here at the triangle in recent outings, only narrowing missing a hat-trick of victories with her latest appearance. Starting fav, she was in for the fight in holding on for the silver, following a tough win from gate 6 over the 2040m. She can grid it out again.

KARLOO MAC (7) went to the grass at Kilcoy last start and wasn’t suited working before fading out. Only 4m away after setting the tempo here 3 starts back, he should secure an easy trip here and with the limited work-load can have bullets to fire in the stretch.

MAKE MINE JOE (8) eased back from gate 6 last start and was hitting the line strongly in the closing stages to grab the silver. Only 8m away after settling a long way back the start prior, he is in the mix.

HOT ROD HEAVEN (9) was only 5m from OUR BONDI BEACH last start in a 2nd division Band 5 event. That followed a similar margin to BIG BANG LEONARD when 2nd up from a break and he stays under notice here.

SELECTIONS: JUST ROKIN (5), KARLOO MAC (7), MAKE MINE JOE (8), HOT ROD HEAVEN (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 5-7-8-9
