Racing Queensland has advised that its media protocols have been updated in South East Queensland during the Greater Brisbane lockdown.
For accredited RQ media attending SEQ race meetings between January 9 and January 11, they are required to follow all Queensland Heath directions.
Additionally, access to on-course racing zones such as the mounting yard, winners’ enclosure or any other area containing licensed racing personnel will be limited to the following:
- Accredited broadcast service providers (SKY Racing, Channel 7, PSP, Radio TAB) including race callers who are engaged in the meeting;
- The official on-course photographer. An RQ, club or exempted photography service may also be permitted; and
- Key racing journalists representing major media organisations.
Media who are permitted to access on-course racing zones will be required to where a mask at all times whilst in the racing zones.
