RACE TWO

HERBS HERO (5) will be fitter from his run last week when resuming from a break. Settling back in the pack off gate 6 he caught the eye in flashing home late and the sectionals were slick. He can slide across to find position here and looks to strike a winnable contest.

ACT OF VALOR (8) comes out of the same race as HERBS HERO from last week where he pressed ahead to the pegs before handing over to TELL THE LINESMAN who then took the win. That followed a tough 3rd when cutting the breeze and with a slice of luck can be in the fight here.

FAKEROCKNROLL (1) held the front off gate 1 at Redcliffe last start and was able to keep an even tempo in scoring a half-head victory. He steps up here but with the gate advantage can feature.

SELECTIONS: HERBS HERO (5), ACT OF VALOR (8), FAKEROCKNROLL (1),
SUGGESTED BET: HERBS HERO (5) to win

RACE THREE

TELL THE LINESMAN (5) landed a hat-trick last week in good style when spearing out from gate 7 to find the front over the 2138m and once in control was able to hold them off. His win at the mile 2 starts back was a nice effort when finishing over the top. He can fire out and look to take this.

REMEMBER MAC (1) was locked away on the pegs last start and chased home for the bronze behind the big winner TOM ME GUN. His run when beaten a neck behind ARGYLE BEACH 3 back was strong and he is right in this.

SELECTIONS: TELL THE LINESMAN (5), REMEMBER MAC (1), SMOOTH SAILOR (2)
SUGGESTED BET: TELL THE LINESMAN (5) to win

RACE FOUR

KLEENED OUT (3)
will find this easier than the Premiers Cup where he was taken back from gate 6 and then was wide off the track when trying to make a run. He hit the line strongly 2 starts back at Bathurst when 3m from PARRAMATTA. This looks a winnable target.

ALPHA STYX (2) led them up at his last start before drifting off the pegs and battling into 4th. Banished to the trials for that effort, he returned a sharp trial to earn his ticket back and with the gate advantage can fire the 1st shot and will be looking to hold on.

GRINVIL (8) loves working home off the speed and chased home behind REPLACED EYE on Sat night to grab the silver. With luck to see space when needed, look for her swooping late.

IMA TOP TYCOON (6) has claimed wins in 2 of his past 3 starts with the latest a nice effort when working home wide off the track when starting from gate 6. This is a step up but he is in good touch.

SELECTIONS: KLEENED OUT (3), ALPHA STYX (2), GRINVIL (8), IMA TOP TYCOON (6)
SUGGESTED BET: KLEENED OUT (3) to win

RACE FIVE

CHANTREY (5) started fav in a Claiming Challenge 2 starts back and settling with running line cover was able to finish over the top to score. Shuffled back in the final he was charging home to get within 2m of the winner. He can settle handy here and with a solid tempo swoop late.

STIRLING WILLIAM (4) is in great touch and was too good over the 2138m last start. Pressing ahead to find the front once in control he was never in danger. This is a touch harder but with a top 3 finish in each of his past 5 he can be in the money in a typical open claimer.

MONTANA FALCON (7) started off the 2nd line in the latest Claiming Final and was charging home to arrive for the win. With blazing gate speed, he might just wind up enough to cross them to give this a big shake.

DEVIL DODGER (8) found the line nicely when 6m to MONTANA FALCON last time out. He will need some luck from this gate but with a strong tempo and sighting an opening can be looking to sprint into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: CHANTREY (5), STIRLING WILLIAM (4), MONTANA FALCON (7), DEVIL DODGER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CHANTREY (5) to win

RACE SIX

REDS JET STAR (9)
was able to thread a passage to hit the line and score victory here 4 starts back over the mile and followed that with a late closing 3rd to COLD IDEAL. Not suited when working in the run over this trip 2 starts back, if she can settle handy here can sneak away with this open race.

BRING ON LEFTY (1) resumes from a spell and was last seen back in Feb. and comes into this without a public trial. At his last start he led them from this gate before fading off and being well beaten after setting a solid tempo. Fitness is the query but if he can control the tempo will be gripping on.

SIR JULIAN (2) has been in the money at his past 2 starts with the latest when following inside runs to get within 8m of REPLACED EYE. This is his best gate in some time and can look to make the most of his chances.

LUCKY VOODOO (8) worked hard in the run 2 starts back to grab the silver in a tidy effort. He will need a slice of luck from the gate and with the openings can chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: REDS JET STAR (9), BRING ON LEFTY (1), SIR JULIAN (2), LUCKY VOODOO (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

BLINGITTOTHEMAX (4) was a 1st-up winner here 2 starts back from this same gate when finishing over the top with a nice closing sprint. Not suited last start when snagged back from gate 7, he was then too far back with TOM ME GUN blasting them away in front. He can bounce back here.

TOM ME GUN (9) was lethal at his Aust debut here last week when spearing out from gate 5. After a steady first panel, he was set alight with a power display in front to blow them away, scoring by 15m. He takes on the mile for the first time and off the 2nd line, we will see him chasing.

TACT OLLIE (1) looked to take them all the way here 2 starts back and was gripping on after a slick opener and then a slick 3rd panel to hold the bronze. From the gate he has the options and can go close.

MUSCLE MACH (8) will be sweating on TACT OLLIE looking to lead as that will give him first dibs on the passing lane. His win here 2 starts back was a tidy effort and last start had merit. He will be waiting for the gape.

SELECTIONS: BLINGITTOTHEMAX (4), TOM ME GUN (9), TACT OLLIE (1), MUSCLE MACH (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BLINGITTOTHEMAX (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

THERESACHANCE (9)
held the front from gate 1 last start and was fighting hard when run-down and finishing 7m from BLINGITTOTHEMAX. His run for 2nd here 4 starts back was a solid effort and in an open contest can get the favours to snare the prize.

ARBIT MAJOR (2) was off the 2nd line last start at Redcliffe and was making good closing metres behind DARBY BRIGHTS to grab the bronze. 3rd to NONE BETTOR 4 starts back he can look to make the most of the gate and land in the money.

SLIPASLYGRIN (10) has been battling tough gates at recent starts but should find this easier than his last start in a 2nd division qualifier behind LOCKTON LUCK. He has place hopes in this.

LONGSHANKS (1) was keen in the run last start from the breeze when starting fav but unable to see it out. From the gate he can look to maintain the inside advantage and will be gripping on.

SELECTIONS: THERESACHANCE (9), ARBIT MAJOR (2), SLIPASLYGRIN (10), LONGSHANKS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: THERESACHANCE (9) to win
