RACE ONE

TORQUE IS MY GIRL (2)
has shown nice progression and looks to have found her chance to break the maiden status here. She had a shot for the front last start but was forced to work in the breeze when fighting on for the silver behind CHERRYS THE BEST. With running line cover she can breakthrough.

SAMS THE BEST (6) speared out from gate 4 to look to take them all the way at Redcliffe last start when grabbed in the closing stages. Gunned down in the Redcliffe Sales Consolation on the line, he can look to settle handy here and is in the mix.

COMMODORE JUJON (4) showed nice improvement last start when running home strongly to be 3m from the winner. That was his best run and with some more confidence and improvement will be thereabouts.

WHERES TASCOTT (1) held the front from this gate last week and tried to fight them off when fading off in the closing stages behind CHERRYS THE BEST.  She will be gripping on again here.

SELECTIONS: TORQUE IS MY GIRL (2), SAMS THE BEST (6), COMMODORE JUJON (4), WHERES TASCOTT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TORQUE IS MY GIRL (2) to win

RACE TWO

TAP IT IN (2) started from the 2nd line last start at Redcliffe and sent to the post as fav could only manage a 3m 2nd to HOT DOGMA. He gets back in the main draw following some barrier issue and can look to put himself in the fight to score his 1st AP victory.

SONNY SAVEAO (5) resumes from a spell and was last seen back in Oct when scoring a restricted win at Redcliffe. Mixing ability with his share of issues, he was starting to put it together last prep and has trialled well to prepare for his return.

BETTING BARON (3) was buried away on the pegs from gate 1 over the 2138m trip 2 starts back and was up against it chasing in a 27.7 closer set from the front. He can take an early shot here and is in the mix.

MAESTRO MAC (1) is yet to find a placing in 6 appearances here at AP but lines up at his bets gate for some time. With the cosy trip he can look to offer a closing shot.

SELECTIONS: TAP IT IN (2), SONNY SAVEAO (5), BETTING BARON (3), MAESTRO MAC (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TAP IT IN (2) to win

RACE THREE

LIFES BLACK (1) is still searching for a maiden breaking w after 4 career starts in which he has placed on all 4 occasions. His latest run from gate 4 at Redcliffe was a tough effort when facing the breeze and digging in for the fight. With the benefit of the gate he can land the breakthrough here.

MISS MIA (8) went back from gate 6 last start and struck some trouble when finishing 4th to CHERRYS THE BEST. Too far back when restrained off gate 7 here 2 starts back she gets the benefit of the trail here and with the cosy trip can feature.

BETTOR BECAUSE (3) has been runner-up at her past 3 starts with the latest when sitting in the trail behind the smart winner PRESLEYBEGOOD. A maiden breaking win is not far away.

MUCHO GUAPA (2) claimed the bronze last start when sitting behind the leader and finishing 3m from the winner. Showing steady improvement she is an exotic chance in this.

SELECTIONS: LIFES BLACK (1), MISS MIA (8), BETTOR BECAUSE (3), MUCHO GUAPA (2)
SUGGESTED BET: LIFES BLACK (1) to win

RACE FOUR

ACT OF VALOR (6)
has the tricky gate here but has shown enough in 2 Qld starts that he will have the measure of this line-up. Pressing ahead to the breeze from gate 5 when 1st-uphe was too strong to score by a neck. Runner-up from the 2nd line last time, he is the one to beat.

GOT THE GOODS (5) will take good benefit from his latest start when returning from a let-up and chasing hard behind PINUP BOY. He took them all the way 5 starts back and with good early speed can look to fire off the arm and get in the right position.

LAUGHING EMOJI (3) will be 2nd up in Qld after making her debut at Marburg. Forget that run when she made an error, from the gate there is better in store from the Mach Three filly.

ARK TEAMO (8) will need a slice of luck from the gate and be looking for gaps in the run. Returning from a break after the Fillies Triad, she can enjoy the soft trip an be closing out late.

SELECTIONS: ACT OF VALOR (6), GOT THE GOODS (5), LAUGHING EMOJI (3), ARK TEAMO (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ACT OF VALOR (6) to win

RACE FIVE

SKYLARHAIN (1) has the benefit of the ace gate here and will need to overcome 10 winless runs at the middle distance to take the prize here. With good early speed she can get herself in the right position and be ready to take the closing shot.

BROADWATER (5) went back from gate 6 last start and was too far back with DARKERSHADEOFPALE taking control at the front. He worked hard in the run at Redcliffe 2 starts back when rolling forward from gate 5 and can get in the fight here in an open contest.

THE CARINGBAH KID (9) took the pocket trail last start when finishing 7m from the winner IMA TOP TYCOON. He can look to follow through at the start and feature in the money.

ASHLEYS ANGEL (2) was a long way back in the pack at Redcliffe last start when trying to make late ground. With no luck from the barriers of late, she can be an improver.

SELECTIONS: SKYLARHAIN (1), BROADWATER (5), THE CARINGBAH KID (9), ASHLEYS ANGEL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-5-9

RACE SIX

SCORCHED (12)
made a mess of the starts last time out and his chances were put to bed early. His run 2 back was a tidy effort after striking trouble but still charging in to 2nd. With the right luck this time around he can look to make amends.

LOCHABER (2) secured the pocket trail last start and chased home in good order to hold the bronze. Forget his run 2 starts back when he bombed the start, if he can step cleanly here and get handy he can put himself in the contest.

JUSTABITCOCO (5) settled on the pegs when back in the pack last start but couldn’t work into the race late in a strong closing pan set from the front. She won’t be too far away here.

SOUTHERN ALPS (10) made the most of the front line tape last week and stepping cleanly went to the front and dictated all the way in a classy win. He has the 20m here but is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: SCORCHED (12), LOCHABER (2), JUSTABITCOCO (5), SOUTHERN ALPS (10)
SUGGESTED BET: SCORCHED (12) to win

RACE SEVEN

MAMMALS MAGIC (3) will take further benefit from her latest start when 2nd up in Qld. Forced to work in the run she faded late when mid-field behind DARKERSHADEOFPALE. Gunned down late when trying to lead throughout 2 starts back she can look to take control of this.

REMEMBER MAC (6) found his race at Redcliffe 2 starts back and angled away from the inside 2nd line gate was too strong over the 2040m trip. Only grabbed in the closing stages over the 1660m last start by the smart ARGYLE BEACH, he can issue a challenge here.

COME OUT AND PLAY (7) found the line strongly from this gate 3 starts back when 3m from the in-form NONE BETTOR. While a win might be out of reach, he can look to chime into the exotics.

BLINGITTITHEMAX (4) returns from a long break and was last seen in a C1 Rising Stars Final taken out by BODHI TREE back in Oct. His ability has been matched by his issues and he will improve from the run.

SELECTIONS: MAMMALS MAGIC (3), REMEMBER MAC (6), COME OUT AND PLAY (7), BLINGITTITHEMAX (4)

RACE EIGHT

LENNY THE LEGEND (5)
will certainly need his share of luck from this gate but if able to tuck in behind the tempo he can look to be finishing off hard. Striking SLICE OF HEAVEN from this same gate at each of his past 2 starts, his efforts have had merit. Look for him storming home.

LUCIFERS LEGEND (10) resumes from the Triad final when doing his share of work before fading late behind CLINTAL DO. That followed a tough run from the breeze and with this looking below what he has met in recent starts, its just his fitness and gate that are the query.

ALPHA STYX (1) will strip fitter from his latest start when 2nd up from a break. Sent forward from the 2nd line to work in the run he held on for 2nd behind SLICE OF HEAVEN. The gate helps his chances.

DIVAS DELIGHT (4) started fav 2 starts back when working in the run and was grabbed in the closing stages. Working into his campaign he can feature again here from this gate.

SELECTIONS: LENNY THE LEGEND (5), LUCIFERS LEGEND (10), ALPHA STYX (1), DIVAS DELIGHT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: LENNY THE LEGEND (5) each-way

RACE NINE

PSYCHEDELIC (12)
will need some factors to go his way in this but with some front line tempo he can look to power home in the closing stages. Buried in the run 2 starts back he was only 4.5m from BETTOR BE LUCKY. With even luck in transit he can arrive in time.

ROCKNROLL MUSIC (2) has good early speed and can look to take the early shot to find the pegs and try to dictate. Not suited last start from the 2nd line, he scored an all the way win in a similar type race 4 starts back.

GRINVIL (10) was working home in good style last time out and finished mid-field from the 2nd line gate. She will need the right cart into the contest but will be swooping late.

RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (4) resumes from a spell and was last seen when only 7m from the winner in a qualify over his less preferred 2138m. He can get forward and will take benefit from run

SELECTIONS: PSYCHEDELIC (12), ROCKNROLL MUSIC (2), GRINVIL (10), RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (4)
SUGGESTED BET: PSYCHEDELIC (12) to win

RACE TEN

SPEEDIE MCARDLE (2)
will find this easier than what he has been facing in recent starts and fitter followi2 runs back from a freshen looks to get his chance. Only 6m from REDS JET STAR in a conditioned race 2 starts back, he can take an early look here and will be hard to stop.

CAESARS ASTRUM (1) made the most of the pocket trail to claim the silver behind MASTER DIP 3 starts back over the 2138m trip when holding ground to the line. Not suited in the heats of the Marburg to Albion when forced to work, with the inside cosy ride here she can feature.

SPEEDIE MCARDLE (2) will find this easier than what he has been facing in recent starts and fitter followi2 runs back from a freshen looks to get his chance. Only 6m from REDS JET STAR in a conditioned race 2 starts back, he can take an early look here and will be hard to stop.

GOODTIME STRIDE (8) was taken back from a wide gate last start and was hitting the line strongly in the closing stages. With the soft trip she will run on late.

SUGGESTED BET: SPEEDIE MCARDLE (2) to win
