RACE TWO

A full-field of square gaiters to do battle here so plotting a course through the traffic will be all important. MUSCULUS (11) was happy to take the pocket trail last start and when the passing lane opened, he wound up and took the winning shot. With the right run he can go back-to-back.

GARLAND GREENE (14) found the 1x1 trail here 2 starts back and with the good trip finished over the top to claim tidy win. Last start he wasn’t that well away from the tapes but was able to chase gamely for a nice 3rd, only 3m in arrears of MUSCULUS. With a clean trip he is a big danger.

WHATABOYZ (10) started from 10m here 2 starts back and the run had merit behind MATATOKI. Last start he didn’t have much luck and was looking for a way clear. He isn’t far off landing a win.

AICHBECHATEAUNOIR (3) has been freshened since her last appearance when stepping straight to the front over the Redcliffe 2280m and dictating for a big 25m win. She has solid claims in this.

SELECTIONS: MUSCULUS (11), GARLAND GREENE (14), WHATABOYZ (10), AICHBECHATEAUNOIR (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MUSCULUS (11) to win

RACE THREE

MATATOKI (8) pressed ahead from the 20m tape here 2 start back over this trip and finding the front took control to keep them chasing in vain. Last start over the 2138m, SOUTHERN ALPS got the jump on him and forced to breeze, fought hard to be 3m away. He can get forward and capitalise.

SCORCHED (9) resumes from a break and with his pattern of being saved for 1 sprint looks well-suited from the 10m tape in this line-up. 2 starts back he was off the 20m tape when flashing home to be 7m from SPIRIT WALKER and then last start had a 30m impost. Look for him charging home.

JUSTABITLIKEMUM (2) has claimed the bronze at her past 2 starts when not beaten far behind MATATOKI and SOUTHERN ALPS. From the trail last start she was only 4m away and is in the mix.

HELLBOUND (6) is always a query from the tapes and last start made a mess of things early. Despite having being winless from the tapes, off the front here, he can be in the fight if packing his manners.

SELECTIONS: MATATOKI (8), SCORCHED (9), JUSTABITLIKEMUM (2), HELLBOUND (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MATATOKI (8) to win

RACE FOUR

I FEEL ADORABLE (3)
made her Qld debut last start when caught wide looking for position she was forced to retreat. Hitting the line strongly in the closing stages, she was only beaten a half-neck and with the extra week acclimatising can break her maiden tag this time around.

FEARLESS FAITH (2) found the front last start and taking control tried to stave off the challengers but couldn’t hold them off, finishing with the bronze, 1.5m in arrears. Her 2nd up run here 3 starts back was a tidy effort and with the added experience will go mighty close here.

RAMBUNCTIOUS (6) moved into gate 1 last start and was soon buried away in transit, having no luck in sighting space when needed. Fitter after 2 runs back from a break, he won’t be too far away.

LEFT A HURRIKANE (7) started fav from the 2nd line last time out when returning from a break. A bit edgy in the early stages, he found the line in good order and despite the wide gate can feature.

SELECTIONS: I FEEL ADORABLE (3), FEARLESS FAITH (2), RAMBUNCTIOUS (6), LEFT A HURRIKANE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: I FEEL ADORABLE (3) to win

RACE FIVE

GINA MACH (10) should appreciate this class of opposition after taking on some stronger opponents in recent outings. Last start she took on a Rising Stars Final where she was wide and too far back trying to get home. Hitting the line well behind RECIPE FOR DREAMING the start prior, this appeals.

CROCODILE PRINCESS (3) has been freshened since her last outing when chasing home from a 2nd line gate. This is her best gate for some time after landing the 2nd line in 3 of her past 4 with the other appearance from gate 6 at Redcliffe. Limiting the early burn, she can be in the fight.

MISTER DIAMOND (7) started from the 2nd line last time out when trying to make late ground in a strong mile behind the handy FOR ALL WE KNOW. Grabbed late when leading in a Gold Pot final by LINCOLNS GIRL 2 starts back, he can make his presence felt.

WEE JIMMY (8) worked home strongly wide off the track at Redcliffe last time out to arrive for a smart win. Luckless the start prior over the 2138m, if he can sight space in time, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: GINA MACH (10), CROCODILE PRINCESS (3), MISTER DIAMOND (7), WEE JIMMY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: GINA MACH (10) to win

RACE SIX

BELLA BALL TERROR (11)
will take added benefit from his latest outing when 3rd up from a 12-month break. Starting fav over the 2138m, he settled in the 1x1 trail and found the line nicely when 6m from the passing lane winner ITZ MY GENERATION. Only 3m away the start prior, this is within reach.

BRIAN WHO (4) will take good benefit from his run on Fri when returning from a freshen. He struck trouble in the stretch when probing for a run 2 starts back and his run on Fri was a tidy effort when not far away from the in-form COBBLER LANE. He can fire an early shot and give this a shake.

JUSTA DALE (12) was hitting the line strongly here 2 starts back to grab the silver behind the in-form RECIPE FOR DREAMING. With a line through his latest start where he struck trouble, he is in the mix.

NICOPOLIS (8) was buried in the run last start at Redcliffe and with the gaps opening along the passing lane, he sprinted fast to arrive for the prize. Needing some luck, he will be charging home.

SELECTIONS: BELLA BALL TERROR (11), BRIAN WHO (4), JUSTA DALE (12), NICOPOLIS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BELLA BALL TERROR (11) to win

RACE SEVEN

In a tricky little contest to line up, HOWS THE MEMORY (12) can make it back-to-back wins by overcoming the visitors draw. Resuming from a lengthy lay-off at Penrith last start, she was sent to the front and dictated for a stylish 5m win. With an impressive record, she can arrive for the prize.

MAJESTIC KIWI (1) resumes from a freshen after just 1 start following a spell and a return to Qld to join the Trevor Lambourn yard. The lamp lighting duties cost him 26.8sec for the 1st panel when resuming and he was fighting hard when 4m from the winner. If forward enough, he can shake this.

APHORISM (5) has been runner-up at his past 2 starts through a Rising Stars Series. Rolling the sleeves in the final, he went down swinging when 2m from STAR OF MONTANA and is right in the fight again.

TOMMY UNDER FIRE (9) will take benefit from his 1st outing in the Sunshine State when attacking the line in fine style to be a half-neck from CLASSIE AMERICAN. Settling handy he can swoop on them late.

SELECTIONS: HOWS THE MEMORY (12), MAJESTIC KIWI (1), APHORISM (5), TOMMY UNDER FIRE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-9-12

RACE EIGHT

ITS JUST KENNY (1)
is working his way back into some form and last start at Redcliffe was strong to the line in some smart closing panels from back in the pack as MAFUTA VAUTIN dominated in front. 2 starts back from gate 11 he worked home well and with the improved gate gets his chance here.

IDEAL WARRIOR (8) found the pocket trail from gate 2 last start and chased valiantly to grab the silver behind LVING AGAIN. Buried in the run the start prior, he can get a good trip from this gate and will be coiled and ready to strike.

TOMEARA (2) eased back from gate 4 last start to settle back in the pack and was sound to the line behind LIVING AGAIN. He did his share of work the start prior over the 2138m trip and can be thereabouts once again.

COREY WILLIAM (11) is racing in nice touch and will back up from Sat night where he was taking on a strong race. Better suited when able to dictate, he can be chiming in late.

SELECTIONS: ITS JUST KENNY (1), IDEAL WARRIOR (8), TOMEARA (2), COREY WILLIAM (11)
SUGGESTED BET: ITS JUST KENNY (1) to win

RACE NINE

SLICE OF HEAVEN (6)
should appreciate a return to this type of mid-week race after his 2 runs back from a spell have been behind COLT THIRTY ONE in the Mr Feelgood and then in the Redcliffe Cup behind CLINTAL DO. Forget his Cup run where he made a mess of the stand start, he can bounce back with venom here.

EFFRONTE (11) was down the line last start in the Wondais Mate after starting from the 2nd line, with the closing fractions set in front making it impossible for the chasers. The start prior when 2nd up from a spell, he wasn’t far away in the Golden Mile at Menangle and despite the gate can challenge.

BUNDABURRA (12) will take further benefit from his latest start when 2nd up from a break. Snagged back early from gate 6, he found the line strongly for the silver and can be charging home here.

SPIKE BROMAC (9) worked hard in the breeze last start over the 2138m and fought on reasonably well under the circumstances. Only 6m from ROCK WITH SAM the start prior, he has place hopes.

SELECTIONS: SLICE OF HEAVEN (6), EFFRONTE (11), BUNDABURRA (12), SPIKE BROMAC (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SLICE OF HEAVEN (6) to win

RACE TEN

As far as tough races to assess with quality and form across the board, they don’t get much better than this race to close out the quaddie. In a race where you could justify more than half the field as genuine chances, I have settled with SHEISWATCHING (6) on top. A winner at 3 of her past 4 starts, she has found her Qld mojo for Rickie Alchin and last start finished over the top to score. Claiming a mares qualifier 3 starts back when hitting the line strongly, she can weave a passage to arrive.

COOL SCOOTER (11) returned from a let-up in fine style last time out over the mile after finding the 1x1 trail and finishing over the top. Fitter for that run, he gets back to his more preferred 2138m trip here with his runs 3 and 4 starts back over this trip strong when placed. He can challenge.

ITZ MY GENERATION (1) made the most of this same gate last start when taking the trail and finishing best up the passing lane. This is a step up, but if he gets the same trip, he is a threat.

AQUA MISS (12) isn’t afforded any favours from this alley, yet with the right cart home, can be issuing a strong challenge. Meanwhile KEY LARGO (5), IN THE PAPER (9), THATS HOW WEROLL (10) and SCHOUTEN ISLAND (5) are all going well enough and would be no surprise if they took the win.

SELECTIONS: SHEISWATCHING (6), COOL SCOOTER (11), ITZ MY GENERATION (1), AQUA MISS (12)
SUGGESTED BET: Play the quaddie wide the last leg
