Racing Queensland confirms that the Gold Coast TC race meeting on Saturday 6 July has been abandoned, and as a consequence the last four races on the card will not be run.
The decision to abandon the meeting was made by QRIC stewards after determination that the racing surface was unsafe to race on following the 4th race on the programme.
Trainers with horses engaged in the last four races at the meeting will be entitled to compensation under the auspices of the RQ Abandoned Race Meeting Compensation Policy. Riders will also receive compensation under this policy.
