RACE TWO

DANCING IN MANOLOS (1) has been freshened since her last appearance when down the line over the Redcliffe sprint trip. Runner-up at her previous 2 starts when leading them up on each occasion, she can protect the poles and with limited pressure drawn to her outside can look to dictate.

WECANONLYHOPE (6) has placed at 2 of her past 3 starts, the latest here last Monday when working home wide off the track from back in the pack. Her last win came when using the passing lane to run down the leader DANCING IN MANOLOS and with a similar trip will be hoping the gap opens with no passing lane on this track.

BAMBOLE NERE (7) was taken back from gate 5 last start and from back in the pack was never in the mix. That followed a similar trip at Redcliffe but with a better trail in this contest, she can place.

BUTCHERFEELGOOD (8) was sent around the field from this gate last start to set up outside the leader, fading in the closing stages under the pressure. She may need to work again to place.

SELECTIONS: DANCING IN MANOLOS (1), WECANONLYHOPE (6), BAMBOLE NERE (7), BUTCHERFEELGOOD (8)
SUGGESTED BET: DANCING IN MANOLOS (1) to win

RACE THREE

BE ON THE SLY (1) pressed ahead to take control at Redcliffe last start over the 1780m and dictating the terms held on for a half-neck victory. Taking good benefit from the run after a 7-week gap between starts, he can look to make the most of the inside line and take them all the way.

AWESOME OLLIE (8) was an easy winner at his Qld debut 2 starts back when leading throughout over the AP mile and justifying a short quote when cruising home to a 14m victory. Sent to the breeze from the 2nd line last start, he had to settle for 3rd as a beaten fav and will need to work here.

SHADYS DELIGHT (6) eased from a wide gate to find position last start at Redcliffe prior to working home strongly in the closing stages to be within 5m of the winner. He will be probing for gaps.

JAMAICAN RESORT (2) was attacking the line in nice style last time out at his 1st run back in Qld. 3m from the winner after settling a long way back from gate 6, he can be in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: BE ON THE SLY (1), AWESOME OLLIE (8), SHADYS DELIGHT (6), JAMAICAN RESORT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: BE ON THE SLY (1) to win

RACE FOUR

IFYOUBELIEVE (1)
is a model of consistency and has been well-placed all season as he lines up here with 2 wins in his past 3 starts. Too tough for them last start in the breeze over the Redcliffe sprint trip, his win 3 starts back was a smart effort when circling them early to lead. He gets every chance.

RANCHO MAN (6) made the most of gate 2 here last Monday to fire the early shots and take control over the 2200m. Given an easy time in front, he had plenty in the tank to kick clear and cruise home to score by 12m. Fitter again after 3 runs back from a spell, he will be probing for a way off the pegs.

PIN CODE (2) makes her Qld debut for visiting trainer Rickie Alchin and arrives with 1 win and 2 minors in her 31 starts this season. With the right run, she looks a podium chance 1st up.

DANCINGINTHEDARK (7) was angled to the pegs last start at Redcliffe from gate 3 and settling 3 back on the poles was then not really in the mix. Pressing through she can settle in the running line to chime in late.

SELECTIONS: IFYOUBELIEVE (1), RANCHO MAN (6), PIN CODE (2), DANCINGINTHEDARK (7)
SUGGESTED BET: IFYOUBELIEVE (1) to win

RACE FIVE

BETTERTHANSPRAYING (6) was returning from a spell last time out when setting the tempo prior to fading in the run. Banished to the trials, she earned the return with a tidy hit-out on this track. Needing some luck from this gate to sight the space, she can force into the clear to take this.

RISKY BUZINNESS (1) worked forward from gate 4 over the AP mile last start and was obliged to do it the tough way in the breeze. Hitting the line strongly the start prior in a 2nd division qualifier when 7m from the winner HEZA BROMAC, he can show early speed here and will give this a big shake.

WHATA STRIDE (3) was a Redcliffe winner 3 starts back when using the passing lane to claim a Redcliffe victory. 3rd last start, she may need to roll the sleeves but will be in for the fight.

PHIL BROMAC (5) found the pegs prior to releasing last start and then using the passing lane was 4m from the winner HUGHIES SISTER in a blanket finish. The gate is a stinger, but he can feature.

SELECTIONS: BETTERTHANSPRAYING (6), RISKY BUZINNESS (1), WHATA STRIDE (3), PHIL BROMAC (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-5-6

RACE SIX

FORBIDDEN FEELINGS (1) has faced the starter 3 times in Qld, returning 2 wins and a defeat when starting well into the red after making an error in transit. Settling outside the leader here last start, he still had bullets to fire in claiming a gritty 3m victory. He will need to hustle but protecting the pegs can see him go all the way.

HIGH ON MONTANA (8) resumes from a spell without the benefit of a public trial. Retreating from gate 4 over the AP 2138m last start, he was a long way back when trying to work into the contest. Yet to miss the money in 5 runs here at Marburg, 3 of those being victories, he can challenge fresh.

ACOLTNAMEDSU (3) found the front from gate 6 at Menangle 3 starts back prior top releasing. From the trail he was within 2m of the winner. At his 1st look at Marburg, he stays under notice.

SOULWRITER (4) is another having her 1st run at the Marburg track. Her numbers aren’t inspiring, yet her last start was sound when 6m in arrears of the winner in a blanket finish. She can feature.

SELECTIONS: FORBIDDEN FEELINGS (1), HIGH ON MONTANA (8), ACOLTNAMEDSU (3), SOULWRITER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: FORBIDDEN FEELINGS (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

DONNY JONES (1) was a Redcliffe winner 4 starts back when finding the front from gate 3 and taking them all the way over the 2040m. From the 2nd line over the AP mile 2 starts back, he was closing out strongly to get within a pimple of the winner MISSINMEMATE and with the lamp lighting duties on offer, can capitalise.

CALLMEDEMARO (8) faces a tough gate at his 1st visit to this surface. Runner-up in 3 successive outings, he then was eased from gate 5 over the 2138m at AP prior to closing nicely when not too far from the smart winner GOOD AS IT GETS. A mid-race move could be the play to make the challenge.

SCHEU CREEK (4) was blasting home 2 starts back when buried in the run to get within 4m of the winner over the AP mile. From the pocket trail here on Monday, he held the silver behind the leader and winner and can feature in this.

DONT CALL ME (2) held the 1x1 trail here last start when trying to make a closing play in holding an 8m 3rd behind JACKS GAMBIT. Settling in a handy spot, he can look to chime in here.

SELECTIONS: DONNY JONES (1), CALLMEDEMARO (8), SCHEU CREEK (4), DONT CALL ME (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DONNY JONES (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

IDEAL TIGER (3) has been freshened since his last appearance when snagged back early prior to really winding up in the closing stages to be 3m from the winner LAUGHING EMOJI. Retreating from gate 7 over the AP mile 2 starts back, he charged home when beaten a head and searching for a hat-trick of victories. 2 from 2 here at Marburg, he can make it a threepeat.

ARTISTIC SAINT (4) backs up from Friday at The Creek where he looked well-placed for a prominent finish. Using the passing lane to be 3m from the leader and winner IFOUNDTHEBEACH 2 starts back, he was too far back in the pack behind the dictating MYMATEPOG 3 starts back. He can challenge.

BALLATOR THOR (1) features in a stable switch and will line-up for Trent Lethaby for the 1st time. Working home soundly from a long way back last start, he can show early speed and can’t be dismissed.

SHAZAM SHANNON (2) has some ordinary numbers next to his name, however not much has been in his favour of late. Buried in the run in a sizzling mile last start, he can be sharper in this.

SELECTIONS: IDEAL TIGER (3), ARTISTIC SAINT (4), BALLATOR THOR (1), SHAZAM SHANNON (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-4

RACE NINE

ELMS CREEK (7) is in nice touch and was unlucky here on Monday when nabbed right on the line by HUNZA VALLEY. After settling in the 1x1, he was angled back to the trail at the 1100 before shunting clear at the top of the stretch. Charging home for a Redcliffe win 4 starts back, he can arrive.

COLOMBIAN GOLD (4) took the pocket trail over the AP mile 2 starts back and held on to claim the bronze when 7m in arrears of the winner STREET APPEAL. Easing from gate 4 at Redcliffe last start and chasing to be 10m in arrears of ELMS CREEK, she can look to fire the 1st shot here.

KARLOO MAC (1) made the most of this gate here last start to take control and once in front had enough in the tank to claim a 5m victory. He has the inside advantage once again and can look to capitalise.

ALE ALE KAI (6) will need some factors in her favour as she looks set to be locked away in the run. Challenging in a blanket finish here on Monday, she will be probing for the gaps to feature.

SELECTIONS: ELMS CREEK (7), COLOMBIAN GOLD (4), KARLOO MAC (1), ALE ALE KAI (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ELMS CREEK (7) to win
