RACE TWO

TORQUE IN CONTROL (2) has been kept fresh since her last appearance when taking on the Fillies Breeders Classic. Locked away from inside he 2nd line, she was shuffled too far back and then didn’t have the cleanest passage. Placed in 3 of 4 here on the triangle, this looks a great chance to break the duck.

TYPHOON TORQUE (1) like her stablemate was last seen in the Breeders Classic where she was angled to the pegs from gate 11 to look for the short-cuts home. Finishing mid-field in a tidy effort, she will have the advantages of gate 1 here and with the available options can Torque the talk.

WANNAGO (7) has placed in 3 of her 5 career starts, the latest when grabbing the silver behind CAPTAINS PICK when trying to rally a challenge along the passing lane. Look for her probing again.

ROYAL PRINCESS (4) made a mess of things last start and that run can be ignored. Luckless the start prior when needing space sooner, she can settle handy to the speed here to feature in the numbers.

SELECTIONS: TORQUE IN CONTROL (2), TYPHOON TORQUE (1), WANNAGO (7), ROYAL PRINCESS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: TORQUE IN CONTROL (2) to win

RACE THREE

ILLBEWATCHING (1) broke the maiden tag here 2 starts back when sent straight to the front and keeping the speed on throughout cruised home to claim an 11m winning margin. His effort last start was full of merit to be within 2m of the winner after striking trouble. He can dictate here.

MAJOR GRANDEUR (7) has the solitary victory to his name, with that win coming back in February of 2017. His recent efforts suggest that will soon be changing, having been the runner-up at his past 3 in succession. Using the passing lane from gate 1 last start, he can get the perfect trip to challenge.

WECANONLYHOPE (8) was stuck in the pocket with no space at Marburg 2 starts back when never getting a crack at them. Forget her last start when striking trouble, the pegs could be the play here.

MELTON LUCKY (3) has placed at his past 2 starts, the latest a tough effort when obliged to roll the sleeves for the tough stuff and still only finishing 4m in arrears of the winner. He is in the fight again.

SELECTIONS: ILLBEWATCHING (1), MAJOR GRANDEUR (7), WECANONLYHOPE (8), MELTON LUCKY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-7-8

RACE FOUR

MORESCO (3)
will make her 1st appearance in Qld for the NSW visitor Scott Hewitt and arrives with handy figures this season where she has been in the money in 50% of her 12 starts. A Penrith winner over 2125m 4 starts back when working in the run, that type of effort can see her home in this.

FORBIDDEN FEELINGS (9) put the disappointment of being put out of play on the 1st turn at Marburg 2 starts back when grinding out a tough win from the breeze over the 1780m here last start. A tough winner at Marburg 3 starts back, he has 2 wins in 3 starts here at the Triangle and is the danger.

SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (5) will be further tightened following his latest effort when 2nd up from a 12 month break. Placed in bot runs since returning, limiting the early burn will be key to his hopes.

MODERN THOUGHT (1) was sent around the field early from the 2nd line last time out at Marburg and was in for the fight when holding on to claim 2nd. With the early options here, she can podium.

SELECTIONS: MORESCO (3), FORBIDDEN FEELINGS (9), SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (5), MODERN THOUGHT (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

MUCHO GUAPA (7)
found the 1x1 trail from the 2nd line last start and when asked for the effort had too many bullets in claiming a tidy victory. That was a nice effort after finishing down the line behind DAPPER BESSIE the start prior and following a quick beginner can be ready to take the closing shot.

TULHURST KATE (5) has developed a strong record here at Redcliffe with a top-3 in 11 of her 16 starts. With the perfect trip behind the leader here 2 starts back, she finished over the top to score and followed that with a 2.5m 2nd to DAPPER BESSIE. Despite the tough gate, she can challenge.

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (9) proved too strong last start, content to cut the breeze and forge clear in claiming a half-head victory. Only a neck away the start prior, he will be in the fight again here.

CHAMPAGNE REACTOR (1) has shown improvement at each outing and last start with the lamp lighting duties from this gate took them all the way. This is harder but the gate is a big plus.

SELECTIONS: MUCHO GUAPA (7), TULHURST KATE (5), TOO GOOD FOR YOU (9), CHAMPAGNE REACTOR (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (1) pressed forward from gate 4 last start when doing some early work before cover arrived. Fighting on to hold the bronze behind ALL GOOD WALLY, it followed a 6m margin behind PERFECT FEELING. He will need to hustle early but holding the front can see it out.

COUNTRY RUN (8) was soon buried away from inside the 2nd line over the sprint trip here last start and when the gaps did arrive he was sound to the line to grab the bronze behind TICK OF THE CLOCK. A winner 5 starts back when taking control from gate 2, he can trail through to challenge.

STORM GILBERT (9) has proven costly for fav backers in recent starts, going under as the punters elect at his past 3 in succession. Nabbed right on the wire last time, the efforts have been good and he can feature again.

MOONLIGHT BUTCHER (7) will be relying on the 1 looking to dictate and if that scenario pans out, he will be ready to strike. Runner-up at his past 2 starts, look for him in the closing stages.

SELECTIONS: DOWNTOWN LUCCA (1), COUNTRY RUN (8), STORM GILBERT (9), MOONLIGHT BUTCHER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: DOWNTOWN LUCCA (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

DAPPER BESSIE (8) has been in great touch here on the triangle since resuming from a spell, returning 3 wins and a close 2nd in her 5 outings. Sent straight to the front last start from gate 3, she was never in danger in scoring a comfortable victory. The 2nd line stings, but the tempo looks right for her to go back-to-back.

SOMEBEACHSOMEGIFT (5) completed a hat-trick last start to continue his second-coming in what has been a great tale. Holding the 1x1 trail from gate 2, he was too sharp when asked for the effort and sprinted stylishly to put up a 7m margin. Despite the wide gate he can look to throw it down.

RED TERROR (1) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon shuffled back along the poles. Making a charge when the gaps arrived to grab the silver, he will be probing again in this.

PITTSWORTH MAN (2) finished over the top of them after a cosy trip here 4 starts back and then last start chased hard for 2nd behind the smart TUAPEKA LIGHT. From the good gate he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: DAPPER BESSIE (8), SOMEBEACHSOMEGIFT (5), RED TERROR (1), PITTSWORTH MAN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DAPPER BESSIE (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

TAYLOR HOOD (1) has not seen a good gate for some time and that should prove all the difference here. Taken back from gate 6 last start, he was making good closing metres when chasing home behind TUAPEKA LIGHT. A similar trip from gate 5 the start prior, he gets every chance off the ace.

ROCKNROLL DUDE (4) will take great benefit from his latest start when 1st up after 8 weeks. Pressing forward from gate 6 over this trip, he was forced to restrain when unable to find position, before then closing strongly to grab the silver behind ONE OFF. With the added fitness, he can challenge.

ONLY IN ROME (6) has been a model of consistency of late, in the money at his past 6 in succession. Runner-up after a tough trip here 2 starts back, he can be thereabouts once again.

IDEAL TIGER (8) will take his 1st look at the triangle and should find this easier than his latest appearance when down the line behind BLACKSADANCE in a slick AP mile. With even luck he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: TAYLOR HOOD (1), ROCKNROLL DUDE (4), ONLY IN ROME (6), IDEAL TIGER (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

HARD TO HEAR (3) has been to the track 3 times since resuming from a spell and hasn’t been too far away at each outing. Doing some early work last start, in finding position, he was 8m from the smart winner HOLY CAMP CLIVE. Hitting the line strongly when 2nd up, this looks his for the taking.

UNASSUMING CHAMP (8) is getting closer to a win after some smart returns in recent starts. Settling back in the pack after retreating from gate 6 over the 1780m here last start, he was attacking the line nicely when 3m in arrears of the winner OUR LITTLE DIGGER. He can challenge.

KETUT (5) has a superb record on his home track, featuring in the money at 70% of his appearances here on the triangle. Not too far away after retreating from gate 7 over the AP mile last start, look for him swooping.

MAKE MINE JOE (1) was not that far from the winner OUR BONDI BEACH last start in claiming company. With the benefit of the ace here, he can secure the cosy trip to offer in the stretch.

SELECTIONS: HARD TO HEAR (3), UNASSUMING CHAMP (8), KETUT (5), MAKE MINE JOE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: HARD TO HEAR (3) to win

RACE TEN

TUAPEKA LIGHT (6) has the tough gate to negotiate, but she looks to have the class edge on her opponents here. Hitting her straps after 3 runs back from a break, she made the most of her chances when finishing over the top here 2 starts back. Taking them all the way last start, she is a perfect 3 from 3 here on the triangle and can make it 4.

MAFFIOSO GIRL (5) was a winner here on Sunday night when eased back from this same gate over the 1780m. With bullets to fire, she was able to clip them in scoring a narrow victory. That followed a sound effort when doing plenty of work behind BLACKWHITEANDBLUE over the AP 2138m and she can go close again.

TINKA TERROR (8) was given a chance in the SE Oaks after completing back-to-back victories over the AP mile and then here at 2040m. Not disgraced in the Oaks, she can be chiming in here.

DE VOYAGE (3) started from gate 9 here last time out and was closing hard to get within a half-neck of the winner MAFFIOSO GIRL. With an improved gate, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: TUAPEKA LIGHT (6), MAFFIOSO GIRL (5), TINKA TERROR (8), DE VOYAGE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: TUAPEKA LIGHT (6) to win
