RACE TWO

JUSTABITCOCO (2) is not overly quick away from the tapes, but finds a race here where she is off the front-line and if able to step cleanly enough to maintain the early advantage, she can make the most of the opportunity. She charged home for 2nd on Friday and this looks an ideal target.

QUIETLY SPOKEN (4) will be tightened from her run last week when returning from a break. Taking on the mobile mile she was sent forward early from gate 5 before sliding into the pocket trail. Momentarily held up when needing the run she finished 1m from NEEDLE. She is a big threat.

IVANOV (3) has been runner-up at his past 2 starts, the latest a solid effort when falling a half-head short of the win in the Redcliffe Cup. A brilliant beginner that can be in the contest early and has claims.

LOCHABER (1) will be fitter from his latest run when 2nd-up from a break he set the tempo out in front following a good start from the mobile. With his condition just fading late, back to the front line strands will suit.

SELECTIONS: JUSTABITCOCO (2), QUIETLY SPOKEN (4), IVANOV (3), LOCHABER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: JUSTABITCOCO (2) to win

RACE THREE

MY ULTIMATE SPORT (5) was making his 1st Albion Park appearance last time out when finishing a 4m 3rd to SAINT KILDA BEACH. Still learning his craft and suffering some gait issues, he has done well to place twice out of 3 career starts and with further improvement can look to cash in here.

SIGNORINA JUJON (1) held the pocket trail off this gate last start and with the cosy trip ran home to claim the silver. Too far back in the Redcliffe Sales Final 2 starts back she will enjoy another soft trip here and can look to issue the closing shot.

SHIMANSHYNE (3) is a Sportswriter filly on debut for Geoff Dawson and is the 6th foal to the races out of the mare All That with each of the previous 5 having all won. With 4 trials to prepare for the debut, she stays under notice.

THE MONEY BALL (8) has struck trouble at his past 2 starts after snagging back from wide gates. With the chance to follow through early and a cheap run in transit he can be an improver

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE SPORT (5), SIGNORINA JUJON (1), SHIMANSHYNE (3), THE MONEY BALL (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE SPORT (5) to win

RACE FOUR

PINUP BOY (4) pressed on from a wide gate last start and was forced to cut the breeze over the mile. Fighting hard he was 8m from the winner LILAC FLASH. That followed a run in the Redcliffe Derby off the 2nd line behind the gun COLT THIRTY ONE. Sent forward here if he can pinch a panel he will be mighty hard to stop.

ARK PATROL (5) put together successive wins, starting with the Triad Consolation before snagging back in the Redcliffe Derby. He found the line nicely behind LILAC FLASH last week and if able to find position without getting too far back will be right in the fight.

VINTAGE DREAM (8) will need a slice of luck from this gate but if able to see space with track to work with has place claims.

WERELIVINGTHEDREAM (2) looked to have found a good target last start at Redcliffe from gate but was crossed easily. Hard to see her holding them out if she couldn’t lead last start and place looks best.

SELECTIONS: PINUP BOY (4), ARK PATROL (5), VINTAGE DREAM (8), WERELIVINGTHEDREAM (2)
SUGGESTED BET: PINUP BOY (4) to win

RACE FIVE

MASTER DIP (4) started fav from this gate last start in a similar race over the mile when finishing 5m from the winner SHADOW PASS. Still looking to display his best since arriving in Qld he will get out to the 2138m trip for the 1st time which might be what he needs and in a wide-open contest is worth another chance.

CAESARS ASTRUM (1) lands her best gate since arriving in Qld and can look to make the most of the advantage. Buried on the pegs from inside the 2nd line last start, the effort was good behind ARTIKULATE MISS in a mares qualifier.

DUKE JUJON (8) will need some luck from this gate but he should be fitter following 4 runs back from a break. He was charging late to grab the silver here 2 starts back and with a similar type run forecast here will be charging.

PUNTERS DELIGHT (2) found his race here 4 starts back and sprinting hard in the closing stages landed a good win. He hasn’t had the greatest of luck in 3 starts since and has some hope here.

SELECTIONS: MASTER DIP (4), CAESARS ASTRUM (1), DUKE JUJON (8), PUNTERS DELIGHT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MASTER DIP (4) to win

RACE SIX

SLICE OF HEAVEN (8) has worked into the zone and last start completed a hat-trick of Redcliffe victories when pressing ahead from gate 5 to take control and then put his opponents away in a slick sub 28 closing panel. He will be sweating on the 1 holding up, but with that looking likely, can take the snipers shot.

VETTEL (1) completed a hat-trick of victories when finishing best to score at his AP debut last time out over the 2138m trip. That followed a strong Goulburn win when pressing to the front from gate 5 and running a nice closing half. He can take them deep into the stretch.

OUR CHITTYBANGBANG (9) chased hard last start when grabbing the bronze behind BUMPER, running him to 2m in a slick mile. Fitter for that run, he can look for the cheap runs here.

TOMEARA (4) has been runner-up at his past 5 in succession, the latest when cutting the breeze and fighting hard when 1.5m from the winner MAGICNRACING. Look for him right in the action again.

SELECTIONS: SLICE OF HEAVEN (8), VETTEL (1), OUR CHITTYBANGBANG (9), TOMEARA (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SLICE OF HEAVEN (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

KEILOR MISTY (1) pressed ahead to find the front from gate 3 over the 2138m trip last start and setting a solid tempo felt the effects and coupled with a flattened tyred faded late. Only 5m from the smart FRANCO LANDRY 3 starts back, she gets the gate advantage and can look to capitalise.

PATERNITY SUIT (6) did all the hard yards last start when cutting the breeze from gate 4 over this trip and was still fighting at the line when grabbed late by MUSCLE MACH. That followed a strong win at the mile and while the gate hurts here at the 2138m, he will be right in the fight here.

JUSTALITTLE TORQUE (11) stepped up to the Redcliffe Oaks last start and although she did have the benefit of an inside passage it was a nice effort. If factors can go her way here, she will be charging home.

FARRAHFOWLER (12) makes her Qld debut for NSW visitor Grant Jones and arrives a last start Victorian winner at Charlton after using the passing lane. In the money at 5 of her past 6 she stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: KEILOR MISTY (1), PATERNITY SUIT (6), JUSTALITTLE TORQUE (11), FARRAHFOWLER (12)
SUGGESTED BET: KEILOR MISTY (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

MAGOOGAN (3) was sent forward from the 2nd line last start and did his share of work in working his way to the breeze before fading late. Buried away on the pegs 2 starts back, he lands his best gate for some time and can look to make the most of his chances.

SAMS A CHAMP (9) went back from gate 7 here 4 starts back over the mile and worked home best to score a solid 8m victory. Under 2m from the winner at his next start, his past 2 runs have had merit despite getting no reward for the effort. With the right run in transit he is right in this.

GET IN THE GROOVE (10) was looking to work into the contest in the closing stages on Sat night when finishing mid-field. Her run 2 back can be forgotten when missing away I the Redcliffe Cup.

GRINVIL (11) was only beaten 1m on Sat night after settling at the rear and only making a charge in the home stretch when the widest runner. With a strong closing sprint, look for her swooping late.

SELECTIONS: MAGOOGAN (3), SAMS A CHAMP (9), GET IN THE GROOVE (10), GRINVIL (11)
SUGGESTED BET: MAGOOGAN (3) to win

RACE NINE

MO JARNEY (1) led them up last start from gate 2 and after looking to have pinched it was run-down on the line by a late swooping VILLAGE CRUISER. With the benefit of moving into the ace gate and with this no harder than his last start, he can look to grip on this time.

THE CARINGBAH KID (8) was buried away in a qualifier 3 starts back and was making some late ground to grab 4th over the mile behind BETTOR BE LUCKY. He will get the perfect trip here and will be coiled and ready to strike when the gap presents.

BRONZE ECSTASY (3) was looking for space last start and he lost momentum when needing a gap. His run 2 back at Marburg was a tidy effort when wide off the track and he has podium claims.

SLIPASLYGRIN (11) has no favours from the 2nd line but should appreciate this class of contest. Taken back from gate 7 last start he was too far back behind THE GUN ROCKSTAR. With even luck in transit he can feature.

SELECTIONS: MO JARNEY (1), THE CARINGBAH KID (8), BRONZE ECSTASY (3), SLIPASLYGRIN (11)
SUGGESTED BET: MO JARNEY /  THE CARINGBAH KID (1/8 Quinella)
