RACE TWO

OUR WALL STREET WOLF (4) atoned for his luckless run of 2 starts back when he finished over the top and closed out in some strong sectionals. He steps up here but from the gate should land a handy position and look to continue his solid form.

BATTLE BORN (10) is starting to put it together after some frustrating times and has been returning some handy efforts from bad gates owing to his manners. He powered over the top to score 3 starts back and last start was weaving a passage and attacking the line hard for 2nd. Can feature here.

OUTLAW FELLA (3) found his race 3 starts back and finished best to score off the 2nd line. He did a power of work when nabbed by OUR UNCLE SAM 2 starts back and from the gate will lay down the law.

MAGICNRACING (1) put together successive wins when able to lead all the way over the mile and then the 2138m. Not suited off the 2nd line his past 2, he can look to lead them deep into the stretch.

SELECTIONS: OUR WALL STREET WOLF (4), BATTLE BORN (10), OUTLAW FELLA (3), MAGICNRACING (1)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR WALL STREET WOLF (4) to win

RACE THREE

LIVING AGAIN (1) pressed on to find the front here 2 starts back and once taking control packed too many guns in the run to the line over the 2138m. Too far back trying to chase behind the airborne INVINCIBLE LOXTON last start he gets the gate advantage and can make full use of it.

HOLY CAMP CLIVE (9) is knocking on the door and will be winning in Qld very soon. Struggling to land a marble, his past 2 have been off the 2nd line where he has gone under a half-neck and a half-head. He threw down a strong challenge to INVINCIBLE LOXTON last week and is right in the fight.

A GOOD CHANCE (5) was a winner when able to press ahead from gate 5 and take control over the mile 5 starts back. Striking tougher races at his next 3, he appreciated a class drop last week in scoring a nice win. He steps up again but will be in the mix.

ANNIKA MAGIC (6) rarely runs a bad race and look for her getting the head down and finishing off hard once again. Only a neck away last start when working out wide she won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: LIVING AGAIN (1), HOLY CAMP CLIVE (9), A GOOD CHANCE (5), ANNIKA MAGIC (6)
SUGGESTED BET: LIVING AGAIN (1) to win

RACE FOUR

POLISHED ROCKS (3)
was buried on the pegs last week when finishing 5m from the winner DEVIL DODGER. 2 starts back he worked hard in the run when finishing 9m from TOP TRIO who took the short-cuts. He can look to force the issue here and back to the front line gets his chance.

HUGHIE GREEN (12) is the class runner of the race and if fully fit would be a short-price for this. He is on the come-back trail though after a leg complaint and has no favours from the gate. His trials to prepare have been solid and he will take great benefit from this run. Tough ask 1st up.

IVE GOTTALIFE (1) has been freshened since his last appearance as he still searches for a maiden Qld victory. He chased well last start and from the inside gate will get the cosy trip which helps.

CASINO TOMMY (11) was locked away last start and never really had a decent shot at them. That followed a tidy effort in the Redcliffe Cup. With the right cart into the contest he has claims.

SELECTIONS:  POLISHED ROCKS (3), HUGHIE GREEN (12), IVE GOTTALIFE (1), CASINO TOMMY (11)
SUGGESTED BET: POLISHED ROCKS (3) to win

RACE FIVE

PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (8) has proved hard to catch this campaign but looks to get conditions to suit here. Not suited last time out when snagged back from gate 6 over the 2138m he couldn’t work into it and 2 back he was run down when starting in red figures. He can take the sniper shot here.

GAME WE PLAY (1) returns from a spell and has had a nice trial hitout to prepare. Last prep he faced a string of 2nd line draws and then when he did snag an alley at his latest start he was forced to work in the run. Doing his best work in front he can punch through to light the lamps. Can he see it out?

BUCKHORN EXCHANGE (10) is having no luck in landing a marble and will have to overcome the 2nd line again here. His last run at Tamworth was fair and 2 back was wide for a long way. He can be sharper here.

BEAU CISHLOM (3) can be forgiven for his last run when choking off. Assess on his run 2 back when 9m from INVINCIBLE LOXTON. In this line-up he can be right in the mix.

SELECTIONS: PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (8), GAME WE PLAY (1), BUCKHORN EXCHANGE (10), BEAU CISHLOM (3)
SUGGESTED BET: PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (8) to win

RACE SIX

INVINCIBLE LOXTON (3)
faces his sternest test to date but has been taking it challenge as it presents. A winner of his past 6 in succession he forced his way to the front last week and had the pace on all the way to score a strong 2138m victory. He can take control here and make it a true staying test.

BODHI TREE (8) continued his amazing season when coming with the perfectly timed run last week to arrive on the line for a stylish victory. He will be buried in the run here but with a pinch of luck and a run presenting he can look to sail over the top of them again.

FRANKIE ROCKS (13) is a big query at this distance as all his best efforts have been at the mile but his closing sections when saved for one shot can be brilliant. With the right cart into this he can fire late bullets.

JACKAROO BROMAC (1) can look to hold position before releasing and will be probing for the gaps when they open. Effective when saved for the last shot, he has been in good touch and has a rough hope here.

SELECTIONS: INVINCIBLE LOXTON (3), BODHI TREE (8), FRANKIE ROCKS (13), JACKAROO BROMAC (1)
SUGGESTED BET: INVINCIBLE LOXTON (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

BURNING AMBITION (1) was only gunned down in the closing stages at her Qld debut in a similar race 3 starts back when setting a solid tempo. Facing tough gates her past 2 starts, she lands the gate advantage and in a race looking to lack mid-race pressure she can dictate terms here.

GRINVIL (12) was charging when it was all over here last week when going under by 1m. On Tues she was looking to make a late charge but didn’t really eat into the deficit after settling back in the pack. Back to mares only company suits and look for her steaming home.

KEILOR MISTY (5) made the most of the gate advantage on Tues when starting from the ace she released the speed and then popped the pocket to score a tidy win. The gate makes it a touch harder but she can’t be dismissed here.

JANUARY (9) was too far back last start to get into the contest at Redcliffe after going back from gate 6. That followed a nice win from gate 5 when charging late. Mares only suits and she has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: BURNING AMBITION (1), GRINVIL (12), KEILOR MISTY (5), JANUARY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: BURNING AMBITION (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

ROCKING (5)
was buried in the pegs last start and when she did see the space was charging home to get within a half-head of the winner. A stylish winner at her Qld debut 2 starts back when charging home from the 2nd line, she can look for early position and looks hard to stop.

IOWNATURBO (2) was probing for a run last week when finishing 6m from the winner and ran home some slick closing panels in the process. From this gate she can settle in a forward position and when time to sprint will be closing hard.

ZARAS DELIGHT (9) pressed ahead and cut the breeze last week from gate 6 and was still fighting in the latter stages. She will need some luck from this gate but is a quality mare.

COMIGAL (1) has the gate advantage and possesses enough early speed to dictate her own position. Sitting behind the tempo last start she finished too strong at Redcliffe and is right in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: ROCKING (5), IOWNATURBO (2), ZARAS DELIGHT (9), COMIGAL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-5-9

RACE NINE

HOT ROD HEAVEN (10)
has the tough gate to overcome but in a tricky contest he might just be going better than his rivals at present. A Marburg winner 4 starts back he has been runner-up at his past 3 with the latest when working home wide off the track. With even luck in transit he can take this.

ELZBOY (3) was 3rd in the same race HOT ROD HEAVEN placed 2nd last start behind the up and coming SLICE OF HEAVEN. His run 3 starts back was a tidy effort to claim the bronze behind a pair of handy 3YO’s and from the gate he will be in the thick of things in this.

DIABOLO STAR (1) was flashing home late at Redcliffe on Wed and went within a nose of the winner. He has the options from the gate and with a cosy trip can rattle home like he did last start.

BRONZE ECSTASY (9) should appreciate this type of race and settling handy in the run can be looking to issue a challenge. Too far back his past couple he has podium claims here.

SELECTIONS: HOT ROD HEAVEN (10), ELZBOY (3), DIABOLO STAR (1), BRONZE ECSTASY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: HOT ROD HEAVEN (10) to win

RACE TEN

OUR OVERANOVA (8)
has been running top races of late and gets the bonus of moving forward 10m here. Taken back from gate 6 last start in a mobile he was the beaten fav when 3m from MISTER GUNSEN. He was hitting the line strongly 2 starts back and over this trip he looks hard to stop.

MASTER HUGH (3) worked hard in the run last start from the mobile when breezing in a strong tempo and faded off. 3rd when resuming in the Redcliffe Cup 2 starts back he was closing well to get within 2m of the winner. Off the front line he can give this a shake.

MISTER GUNSEN (6) is in great touch and added another win to his tally last start when pressing ahead from gate 7 and once in control was never threatened. He will be right in the fight again.

JUSTABITNOISY (4) did some work in the run early last start under mobile conditions before receiving cover and charging home to get within 3m of the winner NEEDLE. With the right trail he can be in the exotics.

SELECTIONS: OUR OVERANOVA (8), MASTER HUGH (3), MISTER GUNSEN (6), JUSTABITNOISY (4)
SUGGESTED BET:
