RACE TWO

SPARKLING CULLECT (5) was 1st up from a spell here last week when settling at the back of the pack after retreating from gate 7. The widest runner on the home bend, he was 5-wide around the home turn and there was plenty to like in how he hit the line behind the electric mile set by MAYWYNS BEST. With the added fitness, he will be hard to stop here.

IMA TOP TYCOON (2) will be further tightened from his latest offering when 2nd up from a break. Having an early look for the lamp lighting duties, he was left planted and forced to do it the tough way when down the line behind SPEECH IS SILVER. Firing early bullets here, he will be in the fight.

MIDNIGHT MAN (10) has been runner-up at his past 2 starts, the latest a tough effort when working to the front from gate 6 when nabbed up the passing lane. The gate stings, but a strong tempo will assist his chances.

DREAM TO SHARE (8) was trying to make ground wide off the track last start but couldn’t get going and never ate into the deficit. With the cheap run on the pegs, he can be probing for the shorter way home here.

SELECTIONS: SPARKLING CULLECT (5), IMA TOP TYCOON (2), MIDNIGHT MAN (10), DREAM TO SHARE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SPARKLING CULLECT (5) to win

RACE THREE

COMMODORE JUJON (6)
was snagged back from gate 6 over this trip last start and from back in the pack was closing in nice order to be 6m from the winner ARK ME. That followed a similar trip when unable to get into it behind JOHNNY WHITE. Runner-up in the Triad Final 3 starts back, with even luck he can cash-in.

THE BIG CHEESE (1) makes his Qld debut for Cristina Monte and arrives with some handy figures in his 29 starts. With 6 wins and 15 minors, he will be 1st up since August and has opened the pipes with a pair of trials. The gate is a big plus and he can look to throw down the challenge.

JUST JOSHIN (9) went straight to the front over the 2040m at Redcliffe last start and once in control fought them off to claim a 2m victory. With the right trail through, he can be thereabouts.

JILLIBY GIZMO (8) was locked away from this gate last start and was looking to slice through late when mid-field behind BLUE MOON RISING. Settling closer this time, he can be looking to chime in.

SELECTIONS: COMMODORE JUJON (6), THE BIG CHEESE (1), JUST JOSHIN (9), JILLIBY GIZMO (8)
SUGGESTED BET: COMMODORE JUJON (6) to win

RACE FOUR

TENNYSON BROMAC (6)
was 2nd up from a break over the mile when sent to the breeze and fighting hard was only 2m in arrears in a slick mile. He then went to the Flashing Red over the 2647m trip and again sent to the breeze had too many guns in scoring a smart win. Taken back over the 2138m last start, he was never in the mix. He can bounce back here.

SOLE AMBITION (3)
took control over the 2138m here 3 starts back where he was able to walk them the opening half of the last mile which allowed him to have enough up his sleeve to score. Beaten by gate 7 at his next run, he was hitting the line strongly last start. With a sharp trial here on Tuesday, he can throw it down.

JUMPING JOLT (1) was snagged back from gate 7 here on Tuesday to look for some short-cuts and a cheaper run on the pegs when attacking the line late. A cosy trip looks available and he can be sniping.

MAYWYNS BEST (9) is in great touch and shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins at the mile. Driven out to take control last start, he kept the power on to run a sizzling 1.51 flat. He will be looking to chime in.

SELECTIONS: TENNYSON BROMAC (6), SOLE AMBITION (3), JUMPING JOLT (1), MAYWYNS BEST (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

HEART OF COOPER (1)
has found it tough to breakthrough for his 1st win in Qld, yet he hasn’t been far away, placing in 4 of his 8 starts since arriving in the Sunshine State. Forced to do it the tough way last start in the breeze outside SPRING CAMPAIGN, he only faded in the closing stages. This looks his chance to capitalise.

MYMATEPOG (2) will step out in Qld for the 1st time and arrives with some tidy figures of 7 wins in 16 starts. Not too far from them last start in a strong race at Bathurst, he trialled here Tuesday when holding ground in the trail in smart time behind NORTHVIEW HUSTLER. He can challenge 1st up.

CONVAIR HUSTLER (8) made the most of gate 2 here 3 starts back to find the front over the 2138m and take them all the way. Gunned down at his next start, he retreated last start. With the cosy trip he can chime in.

BLUE MOON RISING (9) has 2 wins in his past 3 starts, the latest here when taking the trail after touching down in front and then finishing best in the stretch. The pegs could prove fruitful here.

SELECTIONS: HEART OF COOPER (1), MYMATEPOG (2), CONVAIR HUSTLER (8), BLUE MOON RISING (9)
SUGGESTED BET: HEART OF COOPER (1) to win

RACE SIX

RED CHARMER (1) was snagged back from gate 7 in a mares event last start to look for some short-cuts and luck in transit. Slicing between runners to be 8m in arrears of the winner, it was a smart effort. Using the passing lane for the silver behind LETTUCEFIRESTAR 2 starts back, she looks set for the perfect trip here and can make the closing shot a winning one.

ULTIMATE AD (3) is in super touch and has been in the top-2 at his past 6 in succession. Holding the front form gate 1 here last week over the mile, he had too many arrows in the quiver to fight them off in scoring by 3m. Only 2m away after a tough run here 2 starts back, he looks set to grind it out.

SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (2) set the tempo last start over the 2138m but couldn’t maintain the rage, fading as SPEECH IS SILVER set sail to score. Back to the mile suits and if he can pinch a panel, might take some catching.

EL GRAN SENOR (9) was taken back from gate 6 over the 2138m last start when having his 1st outing in Qld. Attacking the line in the closing stages for a smart win, he can look to build on that here.

SELECTIONS: RED CHARMER (1), ULTIMATE AD (3), SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (2), EL GRAN SENOR (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-9

RACE SEVEN

WITH THE BAND (2) has been well placed since arriving in Qld and from gate 2 looks to get into this race nicely. Settling in the 1x1 trail from the 2nd line last week, she had too much power in scoring with sub 55 and sub 27 closing panels. A winner at 6 of 8 here at The Creek, she can make it 7.

GODDESS JUJON (8) is in equally impressive form and last week added another victory to her tally after finding the front from gate 5 and holding off the challengers for a strong win over the 2138m, setting a new best winning time in the process. With the cosy trip, she will be ready to strike.

HARPAGUS (9) started from this same gate last week when finishing 7m in arrears of the winner GODDESS JUJON. Runner-up the start prior behind DEMETER, she can be chiming in here.

LAUGHING EMOJI (5) has won 3 of her past 4 starts and lines up here looking for the hat-trick. Pressing on to take control from gate 6 last start over the 2138m, she will be getting forward to throw it down in this.

SELECTIONS: WITH THE BAND (2), GODDESS JUJON (8), HARPAGUS (9), LAUGHING EMOJI (5)
SUGGESTED BET: WITH THE BAND (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

WINKANDITSOVER (1) was angled to the pegs last start from the 2nd line and he was far from disgraced in finding the line in nice style behind SPEECH IS SILVER, running some tidy closing splits. Not suited from gate 7 the start prior behind STREET APPEAL, this looks his race to open his Qld account.

OUTLAW FELLA (8) pressed ahead to take control over the mile here on Tuesday. One in control he was able to dictate and fighting hard had enough in the tank to claim a neck margin. Only beaten a head the start prior when grinding it out in the breeze, he will be searching for space to challenge.

JAMES DEAN (4) has some average numbers next to his name, however he is going better than they suggest. Back in the pack from the 2nd line last start, he was beaten by gate 7 the start prior. He can be an improver.

WITH AUTHORITY (9) was snagged back from gate 7 here on Tuesday and was keen in the run when tucked away and found the line soundly. With even luck in transit, he is going well enough to chime in here.

SELECTIONS: WINKANDITSOVER (1), OUTLAW FELLA (8), JAMES DEAN (4), WITH AUTHORITY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: WINKANDITSOVER (1) to win

RACE NINE

MACH TORQUE (3) has been racing well without much going her way and finally striking a good gate can look to make the most of her chances. Always facing an uphill battle last start when easing form gate 7 and WITH THE BAND ripping home in sub 27, she can use her early speed here to look for dictating rights in a tricky little mares qualifier.

TACT BESS (5) is knocking on the door and has been doing a good job in recent starts from some tough gates. Angled to the pegs from gate 10 last week, she was charging home in the closing stages to get within 1.5m of the winner BLUE MOON RISING. Positioning cheaply, she can be swooping.

OUR DELIGHT (1) has the early speed to avail herself of the options and will appreciate the improved gate after starting no closer than gate 6 at her past 7 mobile starts in succession. Coiled, she can strike in the stretch.

CORSINI (8) will be 2nd up in Qld and looks set to enjoy an economical run in transit from this gate. Her run had merit last week behind WITH THE BAND and she will be probing for the openings.

SELECTIONS: MACH TORQUE (3), TACT BESS (5), OUR DELIGHT (1), CORSINI (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MACH TORQUE (3) to win

RACE TEN

The small field and the 2138m really looks to have fallen in the favour of COLT THIRTY ONE (3) here and the start 5YO looks set to record his 32nd victory on the Breakfast Creek oval. Game in defeat over the 2647m when 1st, he was winner by that margin last start in defeating GLENFERRIE HOOD. Having not had the opportunity to lead for some time, he looks set to be wheeling and dealing here.

MAJOR CAM (2) was obliged to roll the sleeves and grind it out here last week but he didn’t shirk the task when finishing 5m in arrears of the winner. Hitting the line in nice style the start prior when 3m from COLT THIRTY ONE, the rise to the 2138m is in his favour and he can ask some questions.

WATCH PULP FICTION (4) is never far away in these races, his latest start when 2m from the winner. Looming strongly in the Flashing Red 2 starts back, he will be making a late challenge here.

SELECTIONS: COLT THIRTY ONE (3), MAJOR CAM (2), WATCH PULP FICTION (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE ELEVEN

MAJESTIC SIMON (7) is an ODM runner, but that may not be such a bad outcome with only a frontline. He went around in a mobile trial against the pacers prior to his latest start and looked super impressive. Making an error as the tapes released last start, his run was enormous to grab 3rd and with plenty of tempo looking evident in this, can make the swooping shot a winning one.

GARLAND GREENE (2) made a complete mess of the start last week from the 2647m stand and was never in the contest as a result. Winning his previous 3 starts in succession, including an all the way win from this gate over this trip 2 starts back. Hustling out of the Hilux, he can give them the target.

OUR OVERANOVA (6) has a great record under these conditions and despite the wider gate, will be right in the fight. Tough in the breeze outside GARLAND GREENE 2 starts back, he can never be discounted.

GREG THE GREAT (3) wasn’t far away after coming from the 10m tape last start, beaten his handicap distance. Arriving for the win under similar conditions 2 starts back, he will be right in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC SIMON (7), GARLAND GREENE (2), OUR OVERANOVA (6), GREG THE GREAT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC SIMON (7) to win
