RACE TWO

BET IM SPECIAL (1) should find this a shade easier than his past couple of starts. Eased to find position from gate 4 over the AP mile last start, he found the line in nice style behind STREET APPEAL. The start prior, he chased hard in a sizzling last 800m here on the triangle behind THREE MUGS IN. With the options, he looks to get a chance.

CONDAFEW (3) was looking to work into the contest in the closing stages in a stronger contest last start when 5m in arrears of the winner MARK OF INTEGRITY. Not suited when working in the breeze the start prior, finding position cheaply, he can be ready to issue the closing challenge.

THEARTOFINFUSION (8) makes his 1st appearance in Qld for the Jack Butler stable and arrives a last start beaten fav at Penrith. Runner-up at Menangle 2 starts back, if he handles the triangle, he is right in this.

WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (4) will be 2nd up from a spell, taking some benefit from his return run when using the passing lane to be 4m in arrears of the winner SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE. He can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: BET IM SPECIAL (1), CONDAFEW (3), THEARTOFINFUSION (8), WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BET IM SPECIAL (1) to win

RACE THREE

ITSMEGS (1) took on a mares race last start where from gate 2 she was back in the pack I field of 7. The closing splits in front made the chasing game hard to play when finishing down the line. A tidy effort in a Gold Pot heat the start prior, she can get an economical trip here and look to take the snipers shot.

DEADLY ROCKER (6) lines up in search of a hat-trick of victories after wins at both the sprint trip and 2040m at his past 2 outings. Both wins have come from gate 5, the latest when easing to find position and finishing best to score a tidy win in even sections. The gate stings, but the threepeat is within reach.

TORQUE IS MY GIRL (5) was eased to the pegs from gate 4 last start looking for short-cuts and some luck. Using the passing lane, she was only 3m shy of the winner ONLY IN ROME. Finding position cheaply will be key to her closing chances.

STUDLEIGH WILL (4) rolled the sleeves to do the work last start, fading in the closing stages in a strong last 800m. Runner-up the start prior, he might need to grind it out again here.

SELECTIONS: ITSMEGS (1), DEADLY ROCKER (6), TORQUE IS MY GIRL (5), STUDLEIGH WILL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ITSMEGS (1) to win

RACE FOUR

LOYOLA TRIOS (8)
gets into this race nicely under the conditions and will be further tightened from his latest outing when 1st up in Qld off a 4-month break. Taking on a qualifier at his 1st outing in the Sunshine State, he was snagged back from gate 7 over the 2138m and caught the eye when 5m from the in-form MAJOR GENERALJUJON. With even luck, he looks tough to stop.

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (3) should appreciate an improved gate after facing a strong of wide and 2nd line barriers in recent outings. Easing from gate 6 last start, she was just too far back when trying to make an impression. A winner at her previous 2 in succession, she can look to bounce back in this.

SIGNORINA JUJON (7) has been runner-up at both starts since resuming form a spell, the latest when easing from gate 6 over the 2040m and working home in good order to be within 1m of the winner. Probing for the gaps, she can chime in.

MAGHERA MAGGIE (1) found her race last start and was rewarded for some consistency when proving too strong in scoring. This is a step-up, but the gate is a big plus and she is a podium player.

SELECTIONS: LOYOLA TRIOS (8), NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (3), SIGNORINA JUJON (7), MAGHERA MAGGIE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: LOYOLA TRIOS (8) to win

RACE FIVE

The 2nd of the 2 heats of this series to take place, and it looks an even contest across the board. CALL ME TRISH (1) took on a 2nd division qualifier last start and was too far back in the pack when trying to make ground behind the in-form ULTIMATE AD. Runner up the start prior when using the passing lane, she can get the right trip and if hitting the lane with momentum, can arrive.

GOLIGHTLY (6) steps out for his 1st look at the Triangle and arrives in some nice touch. Pressing the trigger early to take control over the AP mile 2 starts back, he kept the speed on and kept them chasing when scoring a 4m victory in a Gold Pot Final. Closing nicely last start over the 2138m, he can overcome the gate.

SHOWEM SIMON (5) pressed ahead and worked his way to the front over the sprint trip here last start. Dialling it up the last 800m, he cruised home to claim a big 11m victory. The gate hurts, but he can throw it down again.

CHROMOZONE (3) wasn’t suited when obliged to cut the breeze last start and wilted under the pressure to fade out an be well-beaten in a mares qualifier. Back to the triangle suits and she can show her early speed and try to fight them off.

SELECTIONS: CALL ME TRISH (1), GOLIGHTLY (6), SHOWEM SIMON (5), CHROMOZONE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: CALL ME TRISH (1) to win

RACE SIX

The barrier draw makes this an intriguing prelude to the $35k G3 Final of this Sales Series race. The state’s best 3YO GOVERNOR JUJON (7) faces a tough gate, where he will likely need to ease and work around them at some stage. Winning all 3 starts since returning from his NSW Derby campaign, including the Triad Final last start, the only concern is the gate.

GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (6) is arguably the most improved horse in Qld and lines up here looking to make it 5 wins from his past 6 starts. Claiming the Triad Consolation 2 starts back when taking them all the way, it followed a demolition here over this trip when he set a new track record for 3YOs in stopping the clock in a 1.55.6 mile rate. If he can pinch a march, he might take some catching.

A RAINBOW DIAMOND (4) eased from gate 6 last start in the Fillies Triad Consolation and packed too many bullets in the run to the wire to claim the prize. Luckless the start prior, she is a place chance here.

WHICH HUNT (5) loomed up strongly in the Fillies Triad Consolation 2 starts back only to be nabbed by A RAINBOW DIAMOND.  An easy winner with a smart closing 800m here last start, she can chime into the action.

SELECTIONS: GOVERNOR JUJON (7), GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (6), A RAINBOW DIAMOND (4), WHICH HUNT (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

WHATA CHALLENGE (1)
eased from gate 3 to find position last start and from back in the pack was trying to make ground late when the leader was laying down a sub 28 closing panel. Wide off the track the start prior, he can look to capitalise on the good gate and with the options can arrive.

LA PISTOLA (8) was trying to make his run at the same time as WHATA CHALLENGE in the same contest with the 2 of them also locking wheels in the entrance to the stretch. Tough in the breeze the start prior when sent forward from gate 6, with even luck in transit, he can be in the fight.

RISKY BUZINESS (2) pressed ahead for an early look from gate 4 last start prior to finding cover and then finishing 9m from the winner KAANAPALI. Firing the 1st shot here, he can feature.

READILY (4) was looking for some luck along the pegs last start after angling to the pegs from the 2nd line. He will get back again from this gate, yet can look to chime in late.

SELECTIONS: WHATA CHALLENGE (1), LA PISTOLA (8), RISKY BUZINESS (2), READILY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: WHATA CHALLENGE (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

This is a tricky little contest tucked away at the back-end of the card, however there are quite a few horses in nice touch clashing. With the benefit of the ace BLACKJEWEL (1) can secure the right trip to look for the closing shot. Placed at her past 2 starts from this same gate, with the economical trip she can make the closing shot a winner.

LA BELLE CHEVAL (4)
was locked away on the pegs from inside the 2nd line last start with the leader and winner dictating and making it a tough ask for the chasers. Only a half-head from the winner here 2 starts back, she has early speed and can settle close enough to ask the questions of these.

TILDALYN (2) broke the maiden tag 2 starts back when settling back in the pack from gate 2 and finishing over the top to claim the prize. Runner-up to BEEF CITY STARZZZ last start, she can chime in.

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (8) will need to work into the contest at some stage from this gate, however he is never far from the action and has placed at his past 3 in succession. Only 5m away last start, he will be in for the fight.

SELECTIONS: BLACKJEWEL (1), LA BELLE CHEVAL (4), TILDALYN (2), A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-8

RACE NINE

FORBIDDEN FEELINGS (2) makes his Qld debut for Narissa McMullen and arrives with 8 placings in his 28 race starts. Sent to the breeze last start at Penrith from the 2nd line over the 1720m, he was in for the fight when finishing 7m from the winner. Not too far away at Menangle the start prior, he can make an immediate impression.

APACHE WHITESOX (1) progressed to the recent Gold Pot Final at AP and finished down the line against much more experienced campaigners. Not too far away in the heat of that series at just his 2nd start, the return to maiden company is a big plus and from the gate will throw down a challenge.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (6) made a mess of things last start when he jumped it off and ended his chances. In for the fight the start prior when 1m from the winner, he can be thereabouts in this.

GIDUP DARCY (3) resumes from a spell after finishing down the line last start at Armidale. Making an error the start prior, from the gate he gets his chance to add another minor to his tally.

SELECTIONS: FORBIDDEN FEELINGS (2), APACHE WHITESOX (1), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (6), GIDUP DARCY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: FORBIDDEN FEELINGS (2) to win
