RACE TWO

NO DOUBT (2) has hit the board in all 4 starts since returning from a spell, including a last start victory. That was a smart win after he was carted back by a tiring leader but managed to weave a passage for a smart win. Settling handy to the action from this gate, he can go back-to-back.

MISS MIA (1) is in great touch and shoots for the hat-trick after wins here at headquarters over the mile and at 2138m. Doing some early work to secure position last start before landing the 1x1 trail, she finished best to claim the prize. With the options from this alley, she can challenge.

YUKO (5) was sent around them in the early stages last start over the 2138m and grinding it over the 2138m was game in finishing 4m in arrears of the winner. Not much was in her favour the start prior and she can feature in this.

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (3) tried to take them all the way at Redcliffe 3 runs back when fading 9m from the winner. Charging home 2 starts back, he has the early hustle to be in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: NO DOUBT (2), MISS MIA (1), YUKO (5), RECIPE FOR DREAMING (3)
SUGGESTED BET: NO DOUBT (2) to win

RACE THREE

CANSTAR (6) caught the eye in a pair of trials in readiness for her first Qld appearance when tackling a junior driver event. Slammed with gate 7, she was caught looking for a spot before retreating. Never a factor thereafter, this looks a shade easier, and she can look to make a challenge.

CHARMING CHARLOTTE (2) took on the Triad Consolation 2 starts back when angled to the pegs from the 2nd line and closing out soundly. Last time out from gate 9 she was sent forward in the early stages to take control and once in front held on for a maiden breaking win. This is another step, but she looks up to it.

FLIGHT CREW (7)
got it all wrong at her 1st Qld start but was huge in defeat when making up a stack of ground. Not suited last start against the tempo, this looks a more suitable assignment.

NESTERS HILL (1) was angled to the inside at his most recent appearance when trying to make some closing ground behind the winner QUICK STEP. From the gate he has the options and gets his chance to chime in.

SELECTIONS: CANSTAR (6), CHARMING CHARLOTTE (2), FLIGHT CREW (7), NESTERS HILL (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

TWENTYEIGHTBLACK (1)
sat parked over the middle trip last time out and after the torrid run wilted in the latter stages. 2 starts back from the front, he was looking to fight them off and went down swinging when only a neck from the subsequent winner SAM IS PERFECTION. The gate gives him every chance.

MOHS EM DOWN (2) steps out for the Jack Butler barn for the first time after being claimed last start. Forced to hang tough in the breeze over the 2138m, he was in for the fight when 6m from the winner in holding on for 2nd. With early options here, he can look to make a challenge.

BALL OF ART (4) is on the short back-up, contesting a 2613m stand start event at Redcliffe on Thursday. Shooting for a hat-trick of wins prior to Thursday, he faded late as MISTER BRAZIL arrived. If he handles the back-up, he is right in this.

MONTANA CHIEF (5) is never far from the action and the small field will be in his favour as he likes to make a closing charge. Working home smartly for the silver here on Tuesday, he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: TWENTYEIGHTBLACK (1), MOHS EM DOWN (2), BALL OF ART (4), MONTANA CHIEF (5)
SUGGESTED BET: TWENTYEIGHTBLACK (1) to win

RACE FIVE

THE RACONTEUR (1) was 1st up from a break when asked to work hard in the run over the mile as ANOTHER STATEMENT was dealing in front. Sent straight to the front last start, he was never in danger when cruising home to a 3m victory. This is no harder and from the gate is the one to beat.

OUR ULTIMATE HANNA (8) was buried away last start from inside the 2nd line over the Redcliffe sprint trip and was eating into the deficit to grab the silver behind JOVIAL JULIE last time out. Not suited the start prior from the 2nd line when trying to chase, she will get the ideal trip here.

FRANCO NANDOR (3) is a 3YO stepping out in Aus for the 1st time, arriving a two-time winner in NZ. Last seen back in December, he has tuned up with a tidy preparatory trial and can feature fresh.

BIG GEM MONTANA (2) has hit the board in 4 of his past 5 as he continues a consistent season. 5m away from YEP GOT CHOOKS in a Trot Rods scamper last start, he is a podium claim again here.

SELECTIONS: THE RACONTEUR (1), OUR ULTIMATE HANNA (8), FRANCO NANDOR (3), BIG GEM MONTANA (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Trifecta 1 / 2-3-8-9

RACE SIX

GET READY TO ROCK (4)
was asked to roll the sleeves to race tough last start and sitting parked was in for the fight when beaten an eyelash. Not much went her way the start prior and in a race that is wide open and made no easier with the 2138m sure to sort a few out, she might just be able to sneak away with it.

SIGNOR JUJON (10) started from inside the 2nd line last start over the mile and was soon shuffled away and searching for gaps when finishing midfield, 7m from the winner. Runner-up to the subsequent winner NOT THE KINGSWOOD here 3 starts back, he can get the right trip to challenge.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (1) gets the early advantage by virtue of the barrier and with early hustle can look to take control. Only beaten a neck over the sprint trip 2 starts back, forget his last run when making an error. If left alone in front, he can arrive, the distance being the query.

SWEET LOMBO (9) takes his 2nd attempt at the distance after hitting the line strongly over this trip in the Triad consolation 2 starts back when 6m from the winner DYNAMIC DAN. Look for him late.

SELECTIONS: GET READY TO ROCK (4), SIGNOR JUJON (10), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (1), SWEET LOMBO (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

MULLUM FLO (2)
was on debut in a maiden when sent to the post as fav from gate 5. Easing to secure position in the early stages, the tempo was going to be against the chasers as she closed soundly for 3rd. Tackling a much stronger race last time, she really caught the eye and back to maiden company gets the chance to open the account.

STEEVEN (1) used gate 1 to advantage at Redcliffe 2 starts back when looking to take them all the way over the 1780m trip. After a steady opening half, he could not fight them off late when holding on for 3rd. The gates gives him the chance to challenge.

BELLAVICTREE (5) will take benefit from her latest outing when resuming from a spell to start her 3YO term. Sent to the front in the early stages before taking cover, she held on for 2nd and is in the mix once again.
COME ON SLOOPY (7) makes her 1st Qld appearance, joining the stables of Stephen Cini. Placed in 1 of 8 career starts, she lands outside the front line for the 3rd start in succession and stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: MULLUM FLO (2), STEEVEN (1), BELLAVICTREE (5), COME ON SLOOPY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MULLUM FLO (2) to win

RACE NINE

A big field of square gaiters to close the night where those off the handicaps can look to dominate. Looking well placed in this grade after tackling the open company from 20m PUMA ROAD (11) will make his 2nd appearance in Qld. Working home nicely behind SIR FAHRENHEIT last start, if he can negotiate the traffic, he looks hard to stop.

GUNNER (13) was a winner in a big field here 5 starts back when sent forward to the death seat from the 30m tape and proved too strong in claiming the win. Runner-up at his past 3 in succession when beaten no further than a half-head on each occasion, he can make a strong challenge again.

MAJESTIC SPEED (3) broke through to erase the maiden status here 3 starts back and followed that with a tough 2nd from a 20m tape. From the same 20m she can be in the mix again here.

IMA CALVERT ROSE (6) showed an appreciation for the mobile start last time out when sent forward early before being collared near the line by PRINCESS FAITH. She can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: PUMA ROAD (11), GUNNER (13), MAJESTIC SPEED (3), IMA CALVERT ROSE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: PUMA ROAD (11) to win
