RACE TWO

CHARM OFFENSIVE (9) has showed some ability to kick off her career that has returned a pair of placings and a win in 4 attempts. Taking control from gate 1 over this trip 2 starts back, she took the trail before finishing best to open the account. Game when parked and holding on for 3rd last time, she can arrive.

OFFICE BAD BOY (3) started from the 2nd line last start but could not reel them in with a strong last 800m. Within 2m of the subsequent winner WESTERN SHOWGIRL 3 starts back, he will find this a shade or two easier than recent outings to throw down a challenge.

ROCK IN HEAVEN (6) pressed forward from the wide gate here last start and was able to take control through a steady opening 800m Holding on for a maiden breaking win she can build off that here.

BUSTABALLOON (4) was a winner here 3 starts back when doing it the tough way in the breeze over the 1780m. Chiming in late for the bronze last start, he will be thereabouts again here.

SELECTIONS: CHARM OFFENSIVE (9), OFFICE BAD BOY (3), ROCK IN HEAVEN (6), BUSTABALLOON (4)
SUGGESTED BET: CHARM OFFENSIVE (9) to win

RACE THREE

ACER ANIMUS (1)
will be further tightened from her latest outing when 2nd up from a long break. With four years between appearances, she was sound on return over the AP mile behind CHARMING CHARLOTTE. Gunned down over the 2040m last time when setting the tempo, she can hold on here.

GOTTA BEAUTY (9) is a 2YO taking on this mixed maiden where she needs to overcome a tough gate and older horses on debut. Trained here on the track by Donny Smith, she has prepared for the first race appearance with a trio of trials and with even luck can make a play against these.

ROCK WITH ZARA (2) was asked to race tough last start outside the leader and was fighting to be 6m from the winner. Only a neck away here 4 runs back, she is a place hope in this line-up.

AMELIA SPRINGFIELD (5) is a 3YO filly on debut for Jonah Hutchinson by Modern Art. Qualifying at The Creek in a sound hit out, she stays under watch here first up.

SELECTIONS: ACER ANIMUS (1), GOTTA BEAUTY (9), ROCK WITH ZARA (2), AMELIA SPRINGFIELD (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ACER ANIMUS (1) to win

RACE FOUR

MIDNIGHT QUEEN (9) took advantage over the 1780m here 2 starts back when sent to the front and pulling clear to claim victory by a big 18m margin. Taking the trail after finding the front last start, she held on for the bronze behind THEMIDNIGHTRAMBLER. Look for her swooping late.

NAUGHTYINHEAVEN (2) was able to get through a steady opening half from the front last time out but could not see it out when nabbed in the closing strides to be a half-head in arrears of the winner. With early speed, she will be gripping on here trying to see it out.

CALCULATED RISK (5) was asked to do plenty of work in the run last start and wilted under the pressure. Runner-up the start prior when grabbed late, limiting the work here will be key.

THATS FUNNY (4) has placed in 3 of her past 5 starts as she continues to hunt down an elusive drought breaking win. Doing it the tough way when parked last start, she may need to work again.

SELECTIONS: MIDNIGHT QUEEN (9), NAUGHTYINHEAVEN (2), CALCULATED RISK (5), THATS FUNNY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MIDNIGHT QUEEN (9) to win

RACE FIVE

Proving costly in recent starts, HIGH ON MONTANA (4) has been unable to land a breakthrough despite being sent to the post well supported in the market. From the 2nd line last start he was trying to join in when midfield. At his best this is within reach, he just needs to recapture it here.

NON PASSARE (2) took the trail from gate 1 last start and was trying to land the winning blow when getting within a half-head of the winner THE CASUAL GOOSE. Gunned down when sent to the front over the 2040m trip 2 starts back, he is hard to catch but this gate and trip can see him throw it down.

TACTFILLY MAGIC (5) did some early work in the run 2 starts back when holding on for the bronze. Finishing over the top of them on Sunday night for the prize, the gate makes it tricky here.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (7) fired off the arm before taking the trail last time out when trying to make a closing play when 7m from the winner LETS BLAZE. He will need space here and be searching for gaps.

SELECTIONS: HIGH ON MONTANA (4), NON PASSARE (2), TACTFILLY MAGIC (5), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

It could be a memorable milestone moment for THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (7) here as she steps out on this track for the 100th time. Slicing between runners to score a stylish AP victory 2 starts back from a long way back, she was again charging late from this same gate last start. She will be probing.

WOODLANDS WONDER (9) was snagged back from gate 6 to find position last start and settled back in the pack before hitting the line strongly over the latter stages. Grinding away when parked here 2 starts back, it followed a 3rd when wide off the track and with an even slice of luck, this is well within reach.

CLARES FOOL (1) is proving to be adept in the bridesmaid’s duties, finishing runner-up at 5 of his past 7 outings including the past 3 in succession. A neck away last start from the pocket trail, he is right in the fight.

FORTYFIVE ROCK (4) looked to have found the prefect opportunity to go back-to-back last start and after setting the speed was grabbed late by RISKY BUZINESS. With early speed he can feature again.

SELECTIONS: THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (7), WOODLANDS WONDER (9), CLARES FOOL (1), FORTYFIVE ROCK (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-7-9

RACE EIGHT

THE CASUAL GOOSE (2)
was moving close to victory after finishing as the runner-up in 3 of his 4 previous starts before cashing in last time out. Sent straight to the front from gate 2 over the sprint trip, he was able to see it out when holding on for a half-head victory. With that winning confidence restored, he can go again.

ONE LAST ROLL (4) has been super consistent since returning from a spell, placed in all 5 starts for the prep. Last start over the AP mile he was hitting the line smartly over the concluding stages to be within 2m of the winner. With early hustle, he can look to throw it down here.

PAGO PAGO (1) made the most of this alley to score a Trot Rods win 2 starts back when leading throughout. Only 6m from the in-form SIR BULSKI last start, he has the gate to feature.

SCHEU CREEK (8) is a last start Marburg winner where he was able to capitalise from gate 1 to take them all the way. Closing from the 2nd line at that same track 2 starts back, he is a podium hope here.

SELECTIONS: THE CASUAL GOOSE (2), ONE LAST ROLL (4), PAGO PAGO (1), SCHEU CREEK (8)
SUGGESTED BET: THE CASUAL GOOSE (2) to win

RACE NINE

This type of race is not the type of race we normally see programmed but it will be a good pointer to the upcoming Redcliffe Cup run under these same conditions. CLINTAL DO (7) was the Redcliffe Cup winner in 2019 and was chasing hard last start in the Flashing Red when 5m from the winner KID MONTANA. With good manners, he should be close enough to strike.

KENSINGTON BILL (4) has never traversed The Triangle but will be on trial for the Cup and the Patrons Purse where he could be a player. Powering over the top of the small field 2 starts back, he was safely albeit slowly away last start. Too far back against the tempo, this looks suitable.

OUR MAJOR DAY (2) was working triple time in the run 2 starts back when wilting late for a midfield finish in the Armidale Cup claimed by CLINTAL DO. Not much went his way last start and despite this being his 1st TAB graded stand start, he has shown on the show circuit that he can handle the conditions.

LILAC FLASH (8) backed away at the most inopportune moment at the start of the Flashing Red last week and dumping the driver took no part in the race. If he can get it sorted at the tapes here, his record at the track of 5 from 7 will put him in the frame.

SELECTIONS: CLINTAL DO (7), KENSINGTON BILL (4), OUR MAJOR DAY (2), LILAC FLASH (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CLINTAL DO (7) to win

RACE TEN

BETTATHANIDEAL (9)
took a while to wind up via the passing lane 2 starts back as he is not at his best along the inside yet was still only a head from the winner. Finding suitable conditions last start, he charged home down the outside at the end of the 2040m to claims a tidy win. There looks good heat off the front for him to descend.

BEEF CITY BLAZE (2) started from the ace last start and with the easy run in behind the speed was trying to take the closing shot when 2m in arrears of the dictating winner GOOD AS IT GETS. A gritty 3rd when working hard the start prior, he can be close enough to strike here.

SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (7) will need the passing lane with momentum from this alley but following a good beginner can be coiled and ready to strike. Forced to hang tough last start, he will be waiting.

WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (8) started from inside the 2nd line here 2 runs back and using the passing lane grabbed the silver when 2m from the winner ROCKNROLL DUDE. With early 2nd line options, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: BETTATHANIDEAL (9), BEEF CITY BLAZE (2), SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (7), WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTATHANIDEAL (9) to win
