RACE TWO

HELLBOUND (4) was cleanly away from the tapes last start over the 2138m and set the tempo out in front. After controlling the tempo, he couldn’t see it out, holding on for the bronze, which followed a similar margin result behind the same winner GARLAND GREENE. With all 8 career wins coming from the mobile, he can add another here.

ALS LAW (6) stepped to the front before opting for the trail last start over the 2138m when chasing gamely for 3rd behind JUSTABITNOISY in sat night company. Beaten by the big 30m impost the start prior, he has good speed off the arm under mobile conditions and can throw down a challenge here.

AVEROSS DON (1) is yet to land a blow in 4 appearances from the mobile, yet lands the right gate to secure the perfect trip here. His effort was full of merit in the McNeil Final and he is right in the mix.

LAVROS TEXAS (5) was closing strongly last start when 8m from the winner MONORAIL after starting from a 10m tape. Hitting the line strongly as the fav 2 starts back over the 2138m mobile, he won’t be far away here.

SELECTIONS: HELLBOUND (4), ALS LAW (6), AVEROSS DON (1), LAVROS TEXAS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: HELLBOUND (4) to win

RACE THREE

WEEDONS EXPRESS (2) has been in great touch and used the passing lane to arrive for a new career PB rate here 2 starts back. Eased to the pegs from gate 10 last start over this trip, he was again hitting the line strongly when not far away from the in-form MAJOR CURRENCY. With the speed to find the pegs and then cover, he can make the closing shot a winner.

MIDNIGHT MAN (3) was 1st up in Qld since joining the Narissa McMullen barn last start when landing gate 6 over the mile. Sent forward early, he was able to find some cover before finishing 3m from the winner TWITTER BROMAC. A Northam winner 2 starts back, he can fire out to take charge here and be gripping on.

FEELINGFORARAINBOW (5) shoots for the hat-trick after a quick back-up double last week. Taking control from the 2nd line at Redcliffe, he was then sent forward over the mile and set a new PB out in front on Sat night. Despite the sticky gate, the smaller field suits.

SELECTIONS: WEEDONS EXPRESS (2), MIDNIGHT MAN (3), FEELINGFORARAINBOW (5)
SUGGESTED BET: WEEDONS EXPRESS (2) to win

RACE FOUR

IM BATMAN (4)
backs up from Tues where he met a slightly stronger line-up than he will face off against here. Settling in the pocket trail from gate 2, he didn’t have much go his way when hampered behind a tiring leader. Putting together a recent hat-trick at Redcliffe, he can bounce back.

ELLE JAY (1) led them up last start at Redcliffe over the 1780m trip and after setting a steady opening half, was grabbed in a blanket finish, with 2m separating the 1st 5 across the line. Locked away the start prior from inside the 2nd line, she has the options here to finish in the mix.

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (3) was runner-up last start after easing from gate 6 over the Redcliffe sprint trip and then charging home in the same contest as ELLE JAY, to get within a half-neck of victory. She can be thereabouts again here.

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (7) has placed at his past 2 starts and comes through the same races as a few of these. The gate does him no favours, yet if able to find cheap position, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: IM BATMAN (4), ELLE JAY (1), WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (3), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (7)
SUGGESTED BET: IM BATMAN (4) to win

RACE FIVE

COMPLY OR DIE (1) found the front from gate 5 last start over his less-preferred 2138m and after controlling the opening half was able to power home to take the prize. 2nd to SECRET JACK the start prior when in the trail, he gets back to the mile and from the ace might need to hustle, but can dictate.

COURAGEOUS LEO (2) has placed at his past 2 starts, the latest when chasing home for the bronze after settling 3 back on the poles. Hitting the line nicely the start prior to get within a neck of the winner at Redcliffe, he can utilise the early burn and slot into a handy spot to issue a closing shot.

KETUT (6) has the wide gate to negotiate but looks the best served if they go to war up front. Not entirely suited in early position last start, if he can find a spot cheaply, look for him swooping.

ONE WISE MAN (4) found the right race at Redcliffe 2 starts back and finished hard to arrive for the prize. Hitting the line in good order for 2nd to COMPLY OR DIE last start, he won’t be far away again.

SELECTIONS: COMPLY OR DIE (1), COURAGEOUS LEO (2), KETUT (6), ONE WISE MAN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: COMPLY OR DIE (1) to win

RACE SIX

DATALDO (9) had been to the track on 5 occasions prior to his latest outing, returning a placing in 4 of those and striking trouble that saw him retire from the contest in the other. At his latest start from gate 7, he was sent forward to take control and once in front, dictated to a well-deserved win. Despite the 2nd line, he can build on that win and go back-to-back.

RUNFORTHEROSES (2) made the most of conditions last start when pouncing on the pegs from gate 2 over the mile and once in front was able to control the tempo to claim a 6m victory. That followed a nice effort when 3m in arrears from the 2nd line and with the good gate again, can challenge.

OUR ULTIMATE VICKI (1) was a 1st up winner here 3 starts back when using the passing lane to arrive over the 2138m. Striking trouble at her 2nd up run, she was just too far back from gate 6 last time. With the easy run, she will be probing in the stretch.

THE DOORMAN (5) set the tempo last start in a qualifier from gate 3 but couldn’t see it out when fading. Grabbed late the start prior, he can be thereabouts against these.

SELECTIONS: DATALDO (9), RUNFORTHEROSES (2), OUR ULTIMATE VICKI (1), THE DOORMAN (5)
SUGGESTED BET: DATALDO (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

WHATA CHALLENGE (1) was a winner over the mile 5 starts back when finding the front from gate 2. Opening in a sub 28 sec opening panel, he kept the tempo up in scoring an all the way victory. Since that win, his past 3 have been from gates 6, 12 and 11, which just haven’t suited. Back to the ace with the options, he can capitalise in a tricky contest.

MAJOR LUCKY (6) worked to the front from gate 2 last start over this trip when looking to take them all the way. Setting a solid tempo, he couldn’t maintain the rage and faded behind the in-form B MAC C. 3rd here 2 starts back behind LIVING GRAND from the 2nd line, he can threaten in this line-up.

SIGNORINA JUJON (7) doesn’t receive any favours from the outside alley, yet she has been racing well without much in her favour of late. Not far away from this same gate last start, look for her swooping.

MISTER DECORUM (8) started from gate 9 last start and didn’t have the bets run in transit when not too far away. Too far back the start prior over this trip, with a cheap run he can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: WHATA CHALLENGE (1), MAJOR LUCKY (6), SIGNORINA JUJON (7), MISTER DECORUM (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-6-7-8

RACE EIGHT

OUR SEQUEL (6) took on a qualifier last start over the mile where he was sent forward in the early stages to take control. Releasing in the middle stages he then lost all momentum when the leader hoisted the white flag before the home turn. Striking trouble, the start prior at Newcastle, he can bounce back despite the sticky gate.

COOL SCOOTER (2) will take further improvement from his latest offering when 2nd up from a spell. Eased from gate 5 to slide into the 1x1 trail, he chased home nicely over the 2138m to be 3m from the winner RECIPE FOR DREAMING. Too far back when resuming, he can settle prominently to feature.

CIRCLE LINE (4) started from inside the 2nd line at Redcliffe last start and was soon eased into the running line and was wide off the track when 5m from the winner. He can fire an early shot here.

STUDLEIGH STRIDE (1) made the most of a cheap run last start when hitting the line in nice style to grab the silver behind B MAC C. With a similar trip on offer, he has podium claims again here.

SELECTIONS: OUR SEQUEL (6), COOL SCOOTER (2), CIRCLE LINE (4), STUDLEIGH STRIDE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR SEQUEL (6) to win
