RACE TWO

THE REAPER (3)
backs-up from Friday where he came off the big 50m impost and was able to score a smart victory. In front after 600m the start prior when also off the 50m handicap, he only faded in the closing stages. Grabbed in the McNeil final 3 starts back, with a safe start from this tape he looks to get his chance to stay out of trouble and make his own luck.

MUSCULUS (12) will make his 1st appearance for Nathan Dawson after joining his stable. Locked away in the run, he was hitting the line in nice style in the McNeil Final at his last start when 7m from the winner. Placed in both heat rounds of that series, he can look to challenge in this line-up.

SKYLINE (11) shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins. A classy winner from 50m over the 2138m 2 starts back, he followed that with a front-end victory over the 2647m. Negotiating the traffic, he can chime in.

ZOOMALONG JOHNNY (1) was runner-up at his 1st 2 starts in Qld, the 2nd of those when charging late to go within a head of the winner. Making an error last start, he can atone and has claims here.

SELECTIONS: THE REAPER (3), MUSCULUS (12), SKYLINE (11), ZOOMALONG JOHNNY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: THE REAPER (3) to win

RACE THREE

JEDDY R YA READY (5) took on a Sat night grade trot last start and after a nice run on the pegs, was charging home in the closing stages to get within 2m of the winner JUSTABITNOISY. Luckless the start prior when locked away and looking for space that didn’t arrive, he can settle in a prominent spot to take the prize.

GARLAND GREENE (10) was after a hat-trick last start when charging home in the closing stage to grab the silver when 3m in arrears of the winner MELPARK MAGIC. Approaching full fitness after 4 runs back from a spell, his manners have improved his past 3 starts and he can challenge in this.

MELPARK MAGIC (7) hasn’t missed a cheque his past 6 starts and lines up here in search of a hat-trick of victories. Never troubled once finding the front last start, he is in the fight from the 10m.

WEE MAN TROUBLE (9) will take some further benefit from his latest appearance when 3rd up since returning from a break. Buried in the run from a 30m tape, he closed well to be 6m away and can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: JEDDY R YA READY (5), GARLAND GREENE (10), MELPARK MAGIC (7), WEE MAN TROUBLE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: JEDDY R YA READY (5) to win

RACE FOUR

FLO RYDA (1)
broke the maiden status here last week from this same gate when leading all the way over this trip with 3m to spare on the line. That was just his 3rd career start after arriving from NZ with a pair of 3rds after 2 starts. Stripping fitter from the 1st up run, he can look to dictate again.

DATALDO (4) was brave in defeat last start after circling them early to find the breeze after starting from the 2nd line. In for the fight he was only 3m in arrears of the winner after digging in. That followed a deserved 1st win for the season after being sent to the front from gate 7. He will throw down the gauntlet.

VENUS JUJON (2) scored here back on Jan 21 after securing a great run in the pocket trail and finishing over the top to claim a career PB 1.52.4 victory. Trialling on Feb 11, she has not been seen since and should certainly improve on whatever she achieves in this.

RUNFORTHEROSES (9) backs up from Friday where she looked well-placed. A winner here 3 starts back when taking them all the way, she was only grabbed in the latter stages 2 starts back. A podium finish is within reach.

SELECTIONS: FLO RYDA (1), DATALDO (4), VENUS JUJON (2), RUNFORTHEROSES (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

CHANCELESS CENTURY (8) is still looking for an elusive maiden breaking victory, having placed in 9 of his 18 career starts. Game in defeat when only 4m from FLO RYDA to hold 3rd last start, his run 3 starts back was good when only a neck away. He will need some factors in his favour, but today can be the day.

STORM GILBERT (7) has found his rhythm and lines up here after finishing in the top-3 at his past 4 in succession. Breaking his maiden tag at Redcliffe 3 starts back in impressive fashion when pressing to the front and keeping the power on to score by 15m. Rolling the sleeves to do it tough when only beaten a half-head last start, he can overcome this gate.

GOJOE (3) made an error last start and was banished to the trials as a result. Earning his return with a pair of smart hit-outs, if the manners come to the track with him, he can be in the mix.

THE WARP REACTOR (9) makes his Qld debut for the Ron Sallis stable and arrives  winner 4 starts back at Bathurst when leading throughout to a 3m victory. With the right early trail, he stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: CHANCELESS CENTURY (8), STORM GILBERT (7), GOJOE (3), THE WARP REACTOR (9)
SUGGESTED BET: CHANCELESS CENTURY (8) to win

RACE SIX

SPEECH IS SILVER (2) returned from a spell here on Fri where he sat lurking in the running line. Asked for the effort he powered home to a sharp victory, running some nice closing panels. Arriving with a bang last campaign when quickly scoring 3 stylish victories, he will take benefit from the 1st up run and can make it 5 from 6 here at The Creek.

B MAC C (7) is low-flying at present and added another smart victory to his tally last outing over this trip when leading throughout from gate 1. Putting the power on with a sub 27 sec 3rd panel, he was still able to get home in 27.7 in scoring by 3m. With 5 wins at his past 6 appearances, he has shown the versatility to overcome the gate.

JAMIES BAD BOY (8) will need a slice of luck to see space from this gate, but he has done a great job since arriving in Qld. A winner of 4 and runner-up at 4 of his 1st 8 starts in the Sunshine State, he has been right in behind them his past 2. He will be probing for openings.

GODDESS JUJON (1) resumes from a spell and was sent for a break after her last outing back in January when forced to race tough in the breeze and not far away over the 2138m trip. With the easy trip at her return, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: SPEECH IS SILVER (2), B MAC C (7), JAMIES BAD BOY (8), GODDESS JUJON (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi 2 / 1-7-8

RACE SEVEN

THATS HOW WEROLL (10) has the sticky gate off the 2nd line to contend with, yet he strikes a race where there might be enough tempo off the front line to utilise his closing power. Easing forward to find position from gate 6 last start, he was strong to the line late behind HARD TO HEAR. Freshened, look for him swooping.

BRIDGET BLUE CHIP (2) makes her Qld debut for the Chantal Turpin barn and was last seen at Menangle back in January when finishing down the line. Only 9m from REDBANK ADDI the start prior, she has opened the pipes with 2 local trials, the latest a tidy effort. With speed off the arm, she stays under watch.

SABRAGE (6) found the front from gate 4 before releasing for the trail over the 2138m last start in Sat night company. Using the passing lane to grab the bronze behind SOLE AMBITION, he is in the mix here.

ARTHUR LOWE (5) backs up from a tougher race on Friday where he wasn’t too far away after retreating from gate 6 and settling a long way back. Starting fav here 2 starts back, he was 2m in arrears of the winner SIR JULIAN and has claims in this line-up.

SELECTIONS: THATS HOW WEROLL (10), BRIDGET BLUE CHIP (2), SABRAGE (6), ARTHUR LOWE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: THATS HOW WEROLL (10) to win

RACE EIGHT

SO KOOL MASTER (8) has been in nice touch since arriving in Qld and looks set to enjoy a nice run in transit here behind a slick beginner. Charging home to grab the silver when 2m in arrears of the subsequent winner RICH VIRGIN 2 starts back, the run had merit on Sat night when 3rd behind the tear-away winner THREE MUGS IN. If he hits the lane with momentum, he can arrive.

MACEY JAYDE (5) fired off the arm from gate 4 over the sprint trip last week and finding the front was looking to take them all the way. After securing a steady opening 800m of the last mile, the power went on and she was nabbed late by MUCH BETTOR. Looking to get across again, she will be in the fight.

SPIKE BROMAC (1) lines up for the Ryan Veivers barn for the 1st time after being claimed last start. Taking on the 2138m trip he released early and was 6m in arrears of the winner SECRET JACK. Back to the mile and with his early speed, he is in the mix.

BETTOR TO BE TRICKY (6) was too strong for them 2 starts back when sent to the breeze over the 2138m in a qualifier. Edging them out to claim a half-head victory, he backed that up with a smart effort on Sat night when charging home to score. The gate hurts here.

SELECTIONS: SO KOOL MASTER (8), MACEY JAYDE (5), SPIKE BROMAC (1), BETTOR TO BE TRICKY (6)
SUGGESTED BET:
