RACE TWO

CALCULATED RISK (6) takes her first look at The Creek after placing in both starts at Redcliffe since arriving in Qld. Settling in the 1x1 trail from the 2nd line last start over the 1780m, she was making a closing play when a half-neck in arrears of the winner. The six-hole is a stinger, but she can take her chance.

RISKY BUZINESS (10) faced a wide gate last start but was sent forward to nullify the damage and was soon in control over this trip. With a steady tempo, he was trying to fight them off but was grabbed in the last stride up the passing lane. The 2nd line is not ideal with his pattern, but in this line-up, her can make a play.

GUTS (9) made the most of a good alley last time out at Redcliffe and taking control was able to see it out over the sprint trip. The 2nd line is a dampener, but he can still be chiming in here.

MELTON MAX GENTLE (8) will be needing a slice of luck to go his way at some stage from this alley. Grabbing the bronze last start when 5m from the winner, he will be probing for gaps in this.

SELECTIONS: CALCULATED RISK (6), RISKY BUZINESS (10), GUTS (9), MELTON MAX GENTLE (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

MY ULTIMATE HELL (10)
will take some benefit from his last appearance when returning from a freshen. Starting from inside the 2nd line, he was buried away in the run and just faded late to trail them in. A tough winner here 2 runs back over the 2138m, the gate is not ideal but with even luck in transit is worth a chance in an open contest.

RAINBOW STYLING (1) showed early hustle from gate 3 at Redcliffe last start but was repelled and forced to roll the sleeves to do it the tough way. Grinding hard, he did not shirk the task when fighting to be 4m in arrears of the winner. From the gate he will get his chance to dictate to his 1st win at The Creek.

RITCHIE BEE (8) has switched barns to now be prepared by Ross Fletcher, his last start a luckless effort when needing a gap to get closer to them at the finish. With the likelihood of an economical trip, he is in the mix.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH (7) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when pinned down on the pegs as MAGGIE arrived for the prize. His form had tapered prior to the let-up and despite the gate, he can be sharper in this.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE HELL (10), RAINBOW STYLING (1), RITCHIE BEE (8), NIFTY STUDLEIGH (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE HELL (10) to win

RACE FIVE

ROYAL PRINCESS (3) was well-supported here on Tuesday over the mile when landing gate 1. Settling in the trail, she was waiting for the gaps but could not match it with the winner OUR BOY ROY who scored a smart win. Luckless at Redcliffe 2 runs back, she strikes the right conditions here to capitalise.

FEEL THE THRILL (9) does his best work when able to roll in front and under those conditions was a winner 2 runs back at Redcliffe. Gunned down last start as MY CHINA DOLL scored from the breeze, he can look for the trail home here to make a closing challenge.

SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (4) resumes from a spell and has joined the Mal Charlton barn since his last appearance back in July. Trialling in good order for the return, he should take benefit off whatever he achieves here.

BLUE SHARD (10) is never too far away and last start from the pocket trail just found the closing speed a little out of reach. An all the way winner here 2 starts back, he can chime in off the tough alley.

SELECTIONS: ROYAL PRINCESS (3), FEEL THE THRILL (9), SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (4), BLUE SHARD (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

REGAL NIGHTSHADE (3)
will take good benefit from his latest appearance when 2nd up from a spell and taking on a stronger contest claimed by SWEET APPEAL. Beaten by gate 6 when resuming, he found the line soundly behind subsequent winner ONYA DOUG. From the gate he gets his chance to cash-in.

IMA BEACH BABE (2) released the speed last start to sit in the trail and with the cosy trip thereafter was around midfield as SAVING MAJOR PERCY arrived. Trying to lead all the way over the Redcliffe sprint trip the start prior when keen, she has the gate and, in this line-up, can throw it down.

DEVOUGED (5) has been kept fresh since his last outing when holding on for the bronze behind BLUE SHARD. Behind the leader on that occasion, he will get back early but can charge home to feature.

DONNY JONES (9) has been thereabouts in recent outings, hitting the board in 4 of his past 5, the latest when runner-up to SUBTLE ADVICE. Spearing out to lead from gate 5, he held on and can feature again here.

SELECTIONS: REGAL NIGHTSHADE (3), IMA BEACH BABE (2), DEVOUGED (5), DONNY JONES (9)
SUGGESTED BET: REGAL NIGHTSHADE (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

ISLAS JOY (9)
was impressive when making his first race outing in Qld, spearing out to take control from gate 3 and once dictating, cruising home to score a 5m victory. Buried away from inside the 2nd line when 2nd up, it just did not go to plan. With a forgive run against that performance, he can gain redemption in this.

ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (5) angled to the pegs from the 2nd line here last time out and was trying to find space to offer as OUR ULTIMATE HANNA arrived. With great speed off the arm when needed, this is the type of race where they could light the fuse early and at the pointy end, he could challenge in this.

MORESCO (4) took on a mares qualifier last start when obliged to work hard outside the leader and the pressure told as she faded as COOL AND CALCULATING took the prize. Settling handy can see her feature here.

OUR RIDGY DIDGE (7) pressed ahead to find the front from gate 3 last start and was gripping on in the stretch, only nabbed in the last stride. The gate is not favourable, but he can fill a minor.

SELECTIONS: ISLAS JOY (9), ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (5), MORESCO (4), OUR RIDGY DIDGE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ISLAS JOY (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

GOLIGHTLY (9)
should appreciate this class of contest and despite the tough gate should have the edge to overcome his opponents. Buried away last start from inside the 2nd line, he was only 3m form the winner COPPERFIELD. Runner-up his previous 2, he has can arrive fresh up to take this.

GASMONKEY (4) was asked to work hard in the run last start over the 2138m trip and faded late under the toll. Trying to chime in behind SAVING MAJOR PERCY the start prior, he has not had much go his way of late but in this class of contest can look to make a challenge.

GOPATI (3) was a winner here 3 starts back when taking control from gate 1 over the 2138m and holding them all off. Buried in the run last start when grabbing 3rd, he is a podium chance in this.

GOSLING IN FLIGHT (8) will be requiring a slice of luck from this alley to find the space required. Searching for a hat-trick after sweeping the recent Marburg to Albion series, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: GOLIGHTLY (9), GASMONKEY (4), GOPATI (3), GOSLING IN FLIGHT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: GOLIGHTLY (9) to win
