RACE ONE

OUR DAINTY LADY (5)
found the front last start over the mile from the mobile and looking to take them all the way was ground down by OUR OVERANOVA in the closing stages. Her win 5 starts back from 30m over the 2138m was a top effort and from the same impost over the longer trip gets every chance.

OUR OVERANOVA (7) was too strong from the breeze when sent forward over the mobile mile last start and cruised home to score a solid win. 2 starts back he hit the line strongly over this trip and the super consistent performer will be right in the fight again.

JUSTABITNOISY (4) will be further tightened from his latest start when 2nd up from a break and was making good ground when the race was all over behind NEEDLE. Both starts have been from the mobile and back to the stand is right in this.

MISTER OZ (1) has started twice since returning from a break that also marked his arrival in Qld. He worked hard in the run last start under mobile conditions and from the front line can put himself in the right position.

SELECTIONS: OUR DAINTY LADY (5), OUR OVERANOVA (7), JUSTABITNOISY (4), MISTER OZ (1)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR DAINTY LADY (5) to win

RACE TWO

GIVE ME A GO (3) has started 5 time in his career and placed in 2 of those. Last week on a short back-up he was closing out nicely behind the smart winner MINTED MONTANA. That followed a tidy effort behind CAPITALIZE in the Breeders Classic when starting from the 2nd line. He can cash-in here.

SPECIAL RESERVE (5) makes her debut for the astute Shannon Price stable and is a filly by champion stallion Bettors Delight. A full sister to BETTORTHANSPECIAL, SPECIAL MOMENT and BET IM SPECIAL, she trialled in good order back in March but hasn’t been sighted since. Stays under notice.

BETAMERICA (6) is a high-price NZ yearling sale purchase stepping out for Shannon Price for the 1st time. The American Ideal filly has not been sighted in over 5 weeks when trialling in god order behind MISS MONEYBAGS. Watch.

OUR DELIGHT (4) gave a good account when making her debut in the Breeders fillies consolation and finishing mid-field from the 2nd line. With the added experience she has claims here.

SELECTIONS: GIVE ME A GO (3), SPECIAL RESERVE (5), BETAMERICA (6), OUR DELIGHT (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

SOUTHERN ALPS (1) aims up for a hat-trick of wins after proving too strong at his past 2 starts when stepping from 40m and 20m. his win from the 40m tape here 2 starts back was a solid effort and from the front line can look to step and dictate.

JUST CALL ME EARL (4) arrives with visiting Vic trainer Matt Newberry and will be strip fitter from his latest start when 2nd up from a break. Buried away on the pegs over the 2190 at Shepparton, he closed out well in the latter stages to grab the bronze. Look for him closing out hard.

ZAIRE DIVA (3) fought on gamely to hold 3rd behind NEEDLE 2 starts back under mobile conditions. Forget her latest appearance when pole-axed at the start as the fav. She can bounce back here.

IVANOV (12) pressed ahead in the early stages from 40m after starting brilliantly at Redcliffe and worked to the front to take control and score. Only 6m from SPUD last start he can get in the action here.

SELECTIONS: SOUTHERN ALPS (1), JUST CALL ME EARL (4), ZAIRE DIVA (3), IVANOV (12)
SUGGESTED BET:  SOUTHERN ALPS (1) to win

RACE FOUR

HEART OF CHANGE (1)
will strip fitter for her latest start when returning from a break. Settling in the running line from gate 5, she didn’t get the cleanest passage. A 1st up winner 5 starts back when resuming off a long break, she went off the boil just as quick. From the gate in this line up she gets every chance.

PARTY STARTER (3) has placed at her past 2 starts when working home in the closing stages. Last start she was wide off the track when trying to get home in the latter stages and 2 starts back was only 7m from COTTON COLD CANDY. With even luck she is right in the mix here.

OLIVER WINKLE (6) will be further tightened from his 2nd run back from a break when working home in the closing stages. His 1st up run at Marburg was a good effort from the breeze and he can repeat.

GREGS LEGACY (5) made his Qld debut at Redcliffe from gate 10 and after settling back in the pack was an eye-catcher in hitting the line in good order. Tightened from that run he can give this a shake.

SELECTIONS: HEART OF CHANGE (1), PARTY STARTER (3), OLIVER WINKLE (6), GREGS LEGACY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1-3-5-6

RACE FIVE

KEY LARGO (6) was away from the inside early last start and was working home wide off the track when hanging on for the bronze. That followed successive wins at the mile and the 2138m trip when leading throughout. Slick out of the machine he can look to get across them early and take control.

SKYFELLA CAM (7) has continued to progress through the season and last was hitting the line in good order in the 4YO Triad Final to grab the bronze behind CLINTAL DO. That followed successive wins when leading throughout in each. Despite the wide gate he can finish in the money again.

ONLY ONE PROMISE (5) was trying to work home in latter stages over the mile 2 starts back and went within 4.5m of KEY LARGO. Well beaten behind the start COLT THIRTY ONE last start in the 3YO Triad final, he is in the mix here.

ONLY IN ROME (1) settled in the pocket trail last start from this same gate and held on for the silver behind JAZZY ARTIST. He will get the cosy trip again here and be ready to issue a late challenge.

SELECTIONS: KEY LARGO (6), SKYFELLA CAM (7), ONLY ONE PROMISE (5), ONLY IN ROME (1)
SUGGESTED BET: KEY LARGO (6) to win

RACE SIX

LISA LINCLON (4)
will be 1st up since a NSW Oaks heat back in Feb when finishing mid-field behind the superstar filly SHEZ ALL ROCK. A strong winner over the mile prior to the Oaks heat, she has great early speed and can fire out early here. Sharpened with a good trial, she can start her campaign with a bang.

PATERNITY SUIT (5) returns from a break and was last seen when taking out a Gold Pot heat when leading all the way for a stylish win in good time set from the front. He has trialled well from a stand start and will take good improvement on whatever he can achieve here.

PINUP BOY (6) was one of the few runners to be making any ground in the closing stages of the 3YO Triad Final when he grabbed the bronze behind COLT THIRTY ONE. Top 3 at 8 of 9 outings this season he is right in the mix.

SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW (2) found a suitable target here on Fri and rolling forward to the breeze from gate 6 was too strong in pulling clear to a 10m victory. Still on the up, he is right in this.

SELECTIONS: LISA LINCLON (4), PATERNITY SUIT (5), PINUP BOY (6), SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW (2)
SUGGESTED BET: LISA LINCLON (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

FAKEROCKNROLL (3) will strip fitter from his 1st run back as a 3YO when sent forward from gate 9 and working hard in the breeze at Redcliffe and fighting hard to go under by a head. As a 2YO he was able to secure 1 win from 6 attempts and with good early speed he can look to go all the way or find running line cover if unable to get across. Either way he looks to get his chance.

DATSGOOD (5) had been runner-up on consecutive occasions when working hard in the breeze when sent forward from gate 6 on each occasion. Last start in the Triad consolation she went back and didn’t have the smoothest run when down the line behind OPONONIS BLISS. She can be better.

GOLD REACTOR (10) has the tough gate to overcome but will be further tightened from his latest run when 2nd up for his 3YO term. He finished best to score last start in moderate time and has podium claims again.

GOT THE GOODS (6) was an all the way winner here 3 starts back off gate 1 and was gunned down at his next start by COREY WILLIAM when looking to repeat the dose. The 2138m and wide gate beat him last start. He will be better here.

SELECTIONS: FAKEROCKNROLL (3), DATSGOOD (5), GOLD REACTOR (10), GOT THE GOODS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: FAKEROCKNROLL (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

OVERLAP (3)
looked to take them all the way here 3 starts back in a conditioned race and setting a solid tempo was the 1st horse beaten. Freshened and back to claiming company he has been forced to work in the run at his past 2 starts. He gets the chance to look for the front here and if able to pinch a panel will be hard to run down.

BULL MARKET (9) has finished with the bronze at his past 3 in succession, the latest of those coming on Sat night when tracking home strongly to finish 4m from the winner ROYAL COUNSEL. That followed a 5m margin to RORY MACH when run-down in front. Back to claiming grade suits.

RORY MACH (1) was a winner from this gate 2 starts back when taking the final shot and sprinting hard to score. Shuffled to 3 back from this gate last start, he should get the perfect trail here and can be striking late.

CHANTREY (5) looked to take them all the way in a band 5 event 2 starts back and fought to the line when 4m from CASINO TOMMY. Back to the claimers last start he was too good and is right in the mix to repeat.

SELECTIONS: OVERLAP (3), BULL MARKET (9), RORY MACH (1), CHANTREY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: OVERLAP (3) to win

RACE NINE

TOMEARA (4)
has been the runner-up at his past 4 in succession all in band qualifiers with the most recent when flashing home late from back in the pack behind BETTOR BE LUCKY. He worked hard in the run 2 starts back when 6m from PROFICIENT over the 2138m. He can find early position and look to finish best.

THREE OF THE BEST (7) started in the red last start from gate 1 when looking to take them all the way over the mile. After a comfortable opening half he amped the tempo yet was grabbed up the passing lane by BODHI TREE. The wide gate hurts, but at his best he is right in the mix.

PSYCHEDELIC (12) was beaten at short odd in a qualifier on Sat night when he had to settle for the silver behind RIVERLEIGH JEFF. Luckless at his previous 2 starts with the right cart home can be in the money here.

MAGICNRACING (3) made his Qld debut here last week when pressing forward from gate 6 to find the front in a solid opening 800m split he was able to cling on for the silver behind PROFICIENT. Closer to the pegs he can look to head them off early.

SELECTIONS: TOMEARA (4), THREE OF THE BEST (7), PSYCHEDELIC (12), MAGICNRACING (3)
SUGGESTED BET: TOMEARA (4) to win
