RACE TWO

NUI TOC TIEN (10) will strip fitter after returning to the track in a 2nd division band 5 last start. Settling back from gate 7 he was hitting the line in good style to be 3m from the winner. His trial to prepare for the return was a good effort and with some early tempo can look to finish over the top.

LEXUS ON THE BEACH (4) returned a tough effort over the mile here 3 starts back when cutting the breeze and getting within a half-head of the winner LIKEALLOFUS. He then scored a strong win at Redcliffe. He can put the heat into this and is racing well enough to hold on against this field.

JESSICA AMBER (2) didn’t have the best of luck here last start when 8m from BATTLE BORN after finding early position and then not seeing space. She can fire the 1st shot here and be gripping on.

FIRE AND ICE (1) has good early speed, but looks to be edged out here. That should still provide him with the cosy trip and he can take the closing shot. Is run last start at Newcastle was good and he is a place hope.

SELECTIONS: NUI TOC TIEN (10), LEXUS ON THE BEACH (4), JESSICA AMBER (2), FIRE AND ICE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: NUI TOC TIEN (10) to win

RACE THREE

PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (2) looked to have the edge last start but couldn’t get across to the pegs and was forced to race tough. Digging in for the fight he was 1.5m from the winner. Too far back when dragged back 2 starts back, he can look for the pegs here and if taking control will be hard to stop.

CROWNING GLORY (1) was taken back from gate 6 last start to find position and was too far back to feature behind CLINTAL DO. 2 starts back he used the passing lane when 3rd to PALE BEAR BOO and from the cosy trip here will be coiled and ready to issue the last challenge.

LIVING GRAND (5) was forced to work hard in the run last start from the wide gate and the effort told when fading out. That followed a tough run at Redcliffe and sent forward here finds the type of race to challenge.

OYSTER STRIDE (8) put together 4 successive Redcliffe wins and was then well held at his next 2 from 2nd line gates. His latest run was a nice effort and with the cosy trip here can look to close out strongly.

SELECTIONS: PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (2), CROWNING GLORY (1), LIVING GRAND (5), OYSTER STRIDE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (2) to win

RACE FOUR

VILLAGE WITCH (2)
has been racing open company and from the good gate looks to slot into this race nicely. Her run was full of merit against the tempo last start when forced back from gate 7 and 2 back was only 4m from BETTORTHANSPECIAL. With good early speed she can fire the 1st shot and gets her chance.

ANYCHANCE (12) started from the 2nd line last week and was hitting the line strongly to get within a neck of CROFT BAY over the mile. Finishing best to score over the 2138m trip 4 starts back when starting from the 2nd line, there should be good tempo to bring him into the contest.

THE SHADY ONE (9) started fav in the Flashing Red last week when making a mess of the start. Following the pegs he went within 3m of the winner. He can settle handy following through here and be taking a closing shot.

GET IN THE GROOVE (8) has worked her way back into form and has been top 3 at her past 5 including 3 wins. She finished best over this trip last start to score but will need her share of luck.

SELECTIONS: VILLAGE WITCH (2), ANYCHANCE (12), THE SHADY ONE (9), GET IN THE GROOVE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 2-8-9-12

RACE FIVE

HEZ RAZOR SHARP (2) was a winner here 4 starts back when pressing on to find the front from gate 3. After a 2nd panel breather her was able to sprint home strongly the closing 800m to a comfortable 8m victory. His run 2 back behind BODHI TREE had merit and was luckless last week. He can make his own luck here.

CELTIC CRUZA (9) was buried away on the pegs last start and looking to work home when mid-field behind INVINCIBLE LOXTON. That followed a pair of runs in stronger company when meeting CLINTAL DO both times. With a good trail through he will be right in the mix.

BUCKHORN EXCHANGE (12) looked to have found an ideal target last start at Redcliffe but couldn’t work into the contest. His run 3 back was a tidy effort and with even luck can be working home late.

MASTER DIP (7) is another with the tough gate to negotiate but still has some hope. His run from this same gate last start had merit when hitting the line in good order and he is worth following.

SELECTIONS: HEZ RAZOR SHARP (2), CELTIC CRUZA (9), BUCKHORN EXCHANGE (12), MASTER DIP (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HEZ RAZOR SHARP (2) to win

RACE SIX

LIVING AGAIN (3)
is a member of the Craig Cross team visiting from NSW and arrives in great touch since returning from a spell. Looking to remain undefeated since returning from a spell he struck trouble in the run and ended his chances. A winner of 9 of his 18 career starts, he can bounce back.

MAGICNRACING (2) pressed to the front here on Tues and lighting the lamps held off the challenge of TOMEARA to hold on for a career best win rate. That followed a strong effort when making his Qld debut when holding on for the silver behind PROFICIENT. He steps up to the 2138m but is in the mix.

RIVERLEIGH JEFF (1) cut the breeze over this trip last week and was dogged in fighting to the line and proving too strong to score a half-neck victory in a 2nd division qualifier. From the gate he has podium claims.

FRANCO TARIQ (6) was hitting the line strongly from back in the pack last start in a junior drivers race to get within a head of the win. He will need a slice of luck from the wide gate but stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: LIVING AGAIN (3), MAGICNRACING (2), RIVERLEIGH JEFF (1), FRANCO TARIQ (6)
SUGGESTED BET: LIVING AGAIN (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

POLISHED ROCKS (8) is racing without a great deal of luck at present and while he will need some luck from this gate here, is worth the risk. Carted back from this same gate last start when the leader hoisted the white flag, he also struck trouble 2 starts back in open company. If the luck arrives, so can he.

WRITTEN IN RED (4) has finished mid-field at each of his past 2 starts since returning from a freshen and will be further primed for this. Settling a long way back in the pack last week he was making good closing ground. With a better start he can look to get forward and is right in the fight.

GLENFERRIE BOSS (1) was 1st up from a spell last start when taking on open company and has since been given another break. He trialled in good order and hustling hard to protect the inside he is in the mix.

JESTER OH JESTER (2) will strip fitter from his latest run when 1st up from a break and finishing 11m from ROYAL COUNSEL.  He can settle handy from the gate and make career start 100 a memorable one.

SELECTIONS: POLISHED ROCKS (8), WRITTEN IN RED (4), GLENFERRIE BOSS (1), JESTER OH JESTER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: POLISHED ROCKS (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

CONSTANTLYSIDEWAYS (4)
has been closer than gate 5 twice in his past 23 starts with his past 2 off the 2nd line. Last week from gate 10 he was hitting the line strongly from well back to get within 2m of the winner. From the front line he can settle closer and work home over the top to score.

GANGSTER BOY (8) did his share of work early to press ahead 3-wide to the chair last start in the Flashing Red. What was a great drive to then land cover soon went pear-shaped when carted back to last when MACH ALERT capitulated. The smaller field here suits and he can turn it around.

CASINO TOMMY (7) has the tough gate to negotiate but is racing in great touch. Last week he followed through nicely from the 2nd line but soon found himself locked in with nowhere to go. He has podium claims here.

MURANO (1) will strip fitter for his 1st run back in Qld where the effort was good to be 10m from the winner CROFT BAY. Kicking up to hold the breeze in the middle stages he fought to the line nicely. He gets the gate but the distance is a huge problem.

SELECTIONS: CONSTANTLYSIDEWAYS (4), GANGSTER BOY (8), CASINO TOMMY (7), MURANO (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CONSTANTLYSIDEWAYS (4) to win

RACE NINE

REDS JET STAR (1)
lands her best gate for some time and with the options can look to take full advantage. A winner 3 starts back from gate 6 when taken back and then swooping home hard to score, she took on a strongly run Redcliffe race taken out by BODHI TREE last start. The gate helps.

ADMIRAL BRONSKI (7) resumes from a break and heads back to Qld for visiting trainer Craig Cross. Sent for a break after finishing down the line last start when shooting for 5 on the bounce, he has the class, but might just need the run, despite a strong Menangle trial to prepare for the return.

BATTLE BORN (10) opened his Qld account last start in what has been a frustrating journey for connections. Working home from the back he layed down some strong sections and will be swooping hard.

GERONIMO BEAU (8) scored in a conditioned race last start when working to the front and then taking a trail. He will get a perfect trip from this gate and be ready to take the closing shots.

SELECTIONS: REDS JET STAR (1), ADMIRAL BRONSKI (7), BATTLE BORN (10), GERONIMO BEAU (8)
SUGGESTED BET: REDS JET STAR (1) to win

RACE TEN

OLIVER WINKLE (2)
raced tough here on Tues when cutting the breeze from gate 6 and fighting on to finish 2m from the winner GREGS LEGACY. He will take good benefit from that run which was his 3rd run back from a break. In a wide-open contest he can settle handy and fight it out.

BELLA RIPPIN (6) has the wide gate to negotiate, but if the tempo is too keen up front, she looks best placed to finish over the top. Last start from the 2nd line at Redcliffe she was looking to work home late when 5m from HARD TO HEAR. With even luck she is up to this.

HEEZ PERFECT (8) will need a slice of luck from this gate to find space in time to issue the challenge. Last start from the pocket trail he went within a head of the winner and tightened from that run will be probing.

GLENFERRIE BABY (3) took on a mares qualifier 3 starts back and after an early dip for the front took cover when finishing 11m from THE HARLEM HAMMER. With the right run she can feature.

SELECTIONS: OLIVER WINKLE (2), BELLA RIPPIN (6), HEEZ PERFECT (8), GLENFERRIE BABY (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE ELEVEN

NEEDLE (3)
added a mobile start victory to her tally last start when pressing ahead and forced to breeze she was far too strong and forged clear to score a 12m victory. That followed a good win from the 20m tape. She steps up to open company here, but has taken each rise and can take this step.

LAVROS TEXAS (1) made his Aus debut from a 10m tape and taking the pocket trail was angled to open space to grab victory right on the line over NEEDLE. Well supported to take that win he lands the position to get the perfect trip once again and can be the knockout once again.

JUSTABITNOISY (5) has placed at his past 2 starts, the latest when starting from 20m and holding the bronze behind MISTER GUNSEN. Back to the 10m here suits and he is in the mix.

MISTER GUNSEN (6) stepped cleanly here on Tues and once in front controlled the 2647m trip to score a 9m victory. Well beaten at his previous start behind NEEDLE, his chances rest on a safe start.

SELECTIONS: NEEDLE (3), LAVROS TEXAS (1), JUSTABITNOISY (5), MISTER GUNSEN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1-3-5-6
