RACE TWO

COURAGEOUS LEO (3) returns from a spell and returns to the Donny Smith barn after winning 3 for Smith at the start of his last prep. His last run for Darrel Graham was a big effort when working home wide off the track at Armidale and beaten 2m behind ROCKNLACHLAN. He can dominate them here.

GLENFERRIE BABY (1) hasn’t been too far off them of late and 2 starts back returned a tidy effort behind THE HARLEM HAMMER. Too far back after starting from the 2nd line last start she gets the improved gate and can look for the soft run and issue a closing shot.

THUNDER MAC (4) pressed ahead to find the front over the 2138m trip 4 starts back and once in control was a comfortable winner. Working hard in the run at Marburg last start, he is in the mix.

HARD TO HEAR (5) dropped to the pegs last start and after securing a cosy trip sprinted best to arrive for the win. He has no favours from this gate but will be charging late.

SELECTIONS: COURAGEOUS LEO (3), GLENFERRIE BABY (1), THUNDER MAC (4), HARD TO HEAR (5)
SUGGESTED BET: COURAGEOUS LEO (3) to win

RACE THREE

HEEZ PERFECT (7) will strip fitter from his latest run at Marburg when 1st up from a break he settled behind the leader and winner SKYLARHAIN to hold on for the bronze. He will need a slice of luck from the gate here but with the right trip and track to work with can work over the top to score.

TRAVELNFAST (1) has raced at AP at his past 2 starts with her run 2 back a tidy effort after settling well back in the run from gate 6 and then working home well behind MACH SAM. With the ace gate she can look to show early speed and lighting the lamps will be gripping on in the closing stages.

BERTILS DELIGHT (2) settled in the running line from gate 5 here 2 starts back and was hitting the line in good order for the silver behind JANIES GOT A GUN. Too far back last start she can settle handy and has podium claims.

HOW WE ROLL (10) is still trying to find his way clear from his last start at AP when completely luckless looking for space after racing on the pegs as the fav. This is no harder and he can work home into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: HEEZ PERFECT (7), TRAVELNFAST (1), BERTILS DELIGHT (2), HOW WE ROLL (10)
SUGGESTED BET: HEEZ PERFECT (7) to win

RACE FOUR

ARK PATROL (4)
will be 2nd up from a break after returning in the 3YO Triad Consolation where he was sent forward to find the front from gate 4. Once in control he was never in danger and ripped home a slick closing panel to a 3m victory. Pressing on to the front here he will be hard to stop.

COREY WILLIAM (10) pressed on from gate 5 in the Triad final last start and set a strong 2138m tempo but had no response to the challenge of COLT THIRTY ONE in holding on for 3rd. That followed a tough win over the 1660m and he is the main danger in this.

ELZBOY (2 took them all the way at Redcliffe last start over the 1850m in scoring a tidy win. With the early speed to find the pegs 1st he can then look for the trail and run into the money.

SLICE OF HEAVEN (7) makes his Qld debut for Donny Smith and was last seen at Penrith back in Feb when mid-field in strong time. With an easy trial to blow the cobwebs out, he will need some luck from this gate.

SELECTIONS: ARK PATROL (4), COREY WILLIAM (10), ELZBOY (2), SLICE OF HEAVEN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ARK PATROL (4) to win

RACE FIVE

LARA BAY (4) was sent forward from gate 5 here 4 starts back and was in for the fight when taking the silver behind MILLY BROMAC. Last start she was working in the run when 10m from the winner PARKLANE LASS. From the gate she can get forward and looks to get her chance.

MY ULTIMATE JOE (9) made his debut last start and was a red figure fav off the 2nd line when sent forward to face the breeze. The run told and he was 5.5m from the winner. With the experience of that run he can look to go one better, the 2nd line does however hurt once again.

WERELIVINGTHEDREAM (3) resumes from a break and steps out for her 4YO term for the 1st time. A maiden winner when leading all the way from gate 1 last time she was 1st up, she will be fighting.

TAFFY BOY (6) has the tough gate to overcome, yet he is racing well in this grade. Luckless last start at Marburg he just needed to see space to challenge but couldn’t find a gap. With even luck he can run on to fill the exotics.

SELECTIONS: LARA BAY (4), MY ULTIMATE JOE (9), WERELIVINGTHEDREAM (3), TAFFY BOY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 3-4-6-9

RACE SIX

BRONSKI MACKENZIE (3)
was 1st up from a break in the 3YO fillies Triad consolation and settling in the running line off the 2nd line was fair to the line behind all the way winner OPONONIS BLISS. A nice Redcliffe winner prior to going for a spell, she can get a good run in transit and look to finish over the top.

SEVEN RIPPIN ACES (7) returns from a spell and lands the perfect gate for a 1st up run. Starting fav last time out at AP he was buried in the run and ran on late when 7m from the winner. Following a good beginner he will be poised and ready to challenge when the gaps open.

GROOVY MISS ANNIE (1) was a tough winner in restricted company over this trip 5 starts back when rolling forward to the breeze and holding on for a half-head victory. She found the line nicely 2 starts back when grabbing the bronze behind BIG BEAT. With good early speed she will be gripping on.

FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (4) was a winner 6 starts back when finishing best from back in the pack to score a tidy win. Placed in all 5 starts since that win, he was a tough 2nd last start when beaten a head and can throw down the challenge again.

SELECTIONS: BRONSKI MACKENZIE (3), SEVEN RIPPIN ACES (7), GROOVY MISS ANNIE (1), FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BRONSKI MACKENZIE (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

VALIANT GEM (1) has been down the line at both career starts but excuses can be made for each run. Working in the run when facing the breeze off gate 4 on debut he faded off behind CUPCAKESNWHIPCREAM. He struck trouble last start and was out of play. The ace gate can see him be an improver in this.

GIZZMO (9) has no favours from the 2nd line gate, but he has raced well at each of his 4 career starts including the Breeders Consolation where he was closing out in good order from back in the pack to finish 4th. With even luck in transit he can be hitting the line strongly in the closing stages.

SURFER JOE (5) has the tough gate to negotiate here and will be hoping to get around the triangle better than when making an error here 2 starts back. In a race where there is no real stand-out he can look for a maiden placing.

DE VOYAGE (7) will be sweating on the 1 holding the front and then getting her to the passing lane with momentum. 3rd up the lane on debut behind JOVIAL JULIE she can feature with a cosy trip.

SELECTIONS: VALIANT GEM (1), GIZZMO (9), SURFER JOE (5), DE VOYAGE (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

BUCKHORN EXCHANGE (5) went forward at AP on Tues ending up in the breeze and in a solid tempo faded in the closing stages. That followed a tough 3m 3rd over the mile. A winner 3 starts back from the pocket trail, he is racing in better form against better horses than he meets here.

STEVEEJAY (1) took the pocket trail from this same gate here 2 starts back and once angled into the passing lane finished best to score. He met a much stronger line-up last start and was down the line in slick time. From the gate he can hold the early advantage.

FON IDEAL (2) resumes from a spell and has changed stables since last campaign. A tough AP winner 2 starts back, he can look to take a cosy trail at his return and follow home into the money.

SELECTIONS: BUCKHORN EXCHANGE (5), STEVEEJAY (1), FON IDEAL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: BUCKHORN EXCHANGE (5) to win

RACE NINE

LANSBURY (4)
was a winner form the pocket trail at AP 4 starts back and followed that with a nose 2nd when hitting the line nicely from a 20m mark over this trip. Back to the triangle and from a 10m mark against mostly the same runners, she can finish over the top.

ZAIRE DIVA (6) has the 20m to overcome but looks to be a big threat in this. On Tues at AP she held on for 3rd behind NEEDLE and the start prior was too far back trying to work into the contest off a 60m impost. This is her 1st look at Redcliffe and provided she handles it is right in the mix.

MONORAIL (5) was looking for position on Tuesday from the mobile before slotting into the running line. He worked home well 2 starts back behind SPUD and can finish in the money here.

DAY TOURER (2) used the passing lane to score over this trip 4 starts back and hold off the fast-finishing LANSBURY. 6m away after a tough run at Marburg 2 starts back , he can feature here.

SELECTIONS: LANSBURY (4), ZAIRE DIVA (6), MONORAIL (5), DAY TOURER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: LANSBURY (4) to win
