RACE ONE

THE FORMULA ONE (8)
made the most of an improved gate last start and rolled to the front and controlled the tempo through a comfortable opening half before scoring easily. He can follow through at the start and with some front line tempo look to work home over the top.

SWAFFHAM WATER (1) was a winner from gate 10 2 starts back when swooping home down the outside to score. From gate 10 last start she was again closing strongly to grab the bronze. She might need a slice of luck to find space here but will be flashing hard when the gaps appear.

ARTIKULATE MISS (5) makes her Redcliffe debut after 4 AP starts since arriving in Qld. Last start she found the line in good style behind INVINCIBLE LOXTON. This is easier than what she has met, the gate is the concern.

MO JARNEY (3) has worked his way back into some form and has placed at his past 2 starts. Dropping to the pegs last start he attacked the line to get within a half-head of the winner. Exotic claims.

SELECTIONS: THE FORMULA ONE (8), SWAFFHAM WATER (1), ARTIKULATE MISS (5), MO JARNEY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1-3-5-8

RACE TWO

DIAMONDSFROMHEAVEN (4) didn’t have the cleanest run last start when starting from the 2nd line and looking to make closing ground. Luckless at the marble drop in recent starts, this is an improved alley and she can look to roll forward to find position and is worth a shot in this type of line-up.

HEAVENS HINT (3) has closed out strongly at her past 2 starts when off the 2nd line in each and been able to claim the silver in each. Last start she was flashing home late to get within 2.5m of the winner GLENFERRIE DUSTER. Not fast out, if she can hold position close enough she is a big threat.

BONNIE JUJON (7) will need plenty of luck from this gate and would have been a main danger from any other alley. A strong winner last start she just needs to see space in time to throw down a challenge.

OSCARS GLORY (6) found running line position last start from the 2nd line and worked home into 3rd behind the comfortable winner INVITE ONLY. He can get forward here and ask the questions.

SELECTIONS: DIAMONDSFROMHEAVEN (4), HEAVENS HINT (3), BONNIE JUJON (7), OSCARS GLORY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: DIAMONDSFROMHEAVEN (4) each-way

RACE THREE

PUNTERS DELIGHT (8) has been close up from wide gates or been looking for space in the run. He is crying out to win a race and despite coming up with the 2nd line he should be able to work through in the early stages to find good position and with a good tempo work home over the top.
GRINVIL (1) was buried away in a Rising Stars final on Sat night and hit the line in good style behind the star COLT THIRTY ONE. Her run in the heat of that series was good and from the gate has the speed to hold early and with the options can then take the closing shot.

JAZZY ARTIST (2) was looking to work into the race in good order last start until locking wheels and losing all momentum. From the gate she can look to force her way to the front and then be gripping on.

CALCAVADO (10) keeps ticking over the placing here at Redcliffe and added a 3rd last start to make it 20 from 25 in the top3 on the triangle. With some good tempo up front he can look to be closing out.

SELECTIONS: PUNTERS DELIGHT (8), GRINVIL (2), JAZZY ARTIST (2), CALCAVADO (10)
SUGGESTED BET: PUNTERS DELIGHT (8) to win

RACE FOUR

BIG BEAT (5)
rolled forward from a 2nd line gate last start working his way to the breeze and was then too strong in holding on for the win. His run prior was a good effort after striking trouble and has been top 3 in 7 of his 8 runs this prep. He can roll to the breeze and out tough this lot.

IPANEMA BEACH (3) will be tightened from her run last week after having a freshen and working home fairly to finish mid-field. This is her best gate for some time and she can look to get forward to take control and from the front she would take some stitching.

FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (9) has been runner-up at his past 3 starts and all from tough gates. Last start from this same gate he was sent forward to breeze outside THE FORMULA ONE and fought to the line. He will need to work again but is in the mix.

LEORYAN (2) can look to fire out early to the pegs and will then have the option for a trail and with a cosy trip can make a closing play. Off the 2nd line at his past 2, the improved gate helps.

SELECTIONS: BIG BEAT (5), IPANEMA BEACH (3), FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (9), LEORYAN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: BIG BEAT / IPANEMA BEACH (3/5) Quinella

RACE FIVE

ROYAL TAZ (8) was wide early from gate 5 last start and eventually snagged back to find position and was too far back in a race dominated at the front. He has been luckless from tough gates and although again from the 2nd line should land position and is worth a chance in an open contest.

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (2) has featured in a stable change to line up for Gary Gerrard for the first time. A winner in an easier contest 2 starts back she made good ground last start behind GLENFERRIE DUSTER. Gerrard has a good record with these type of mares and stays under notice.

GRINYDONTCHA (1) had been meeting some tougher types including a 6m 2nd to OUR MAJOR DAY 3 starts back. From the gate she will be in a perfect position and can take the closing shot.

PITTSWORTH MAN (10) was much sharper last start when taken back from gate 6 he then made good ground along the inside to grab the bronze behind BONNIE JUJON. He can place with luck in the run.

SELECTIONS: ROYAL TAZ (8), WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (2), GRINYDONTCHA (1), PITTSWORTH MAN (10)
SUGGESTED BET: ROYAL TAZ (8) to win

RACE SIX

KATHLEEN GRACE (3)
resumes from a spell and steps out as a 3YO for the first time. 3 starts back she worked hard in the run in a fillies only race and worked hard to the line to finish 3m from the winner. She trialled in good order for her return and can look to find the pegs in this and will be gripping on.

ALLYS FELLA (6) is a 3YO gelding by Artistic Fella out of the eight-win mare Arlege Bay making his debut for Greg Elkins. He lands a tough gate but showed in recent trials that he could handle a race like this first up.

CHUMP CHOP (7) has the tricky gate to negotiate but has been racing well with placings at his past 3 starts. Last start he worked home well from the 2nd line to get within a half-neck and will be probing for gaps.

SYLVIASTRIKESGOLD (2) was buried away on the pegs last start after going back from gate 5 which was her debut. Showing good improvement in a recent trial she can get forward and can be a big improver.

SELECTIONS: KATHLEEN GRACE (3), ALLYS FELLA (6), CHUMP CHOP (7), SYLVIASTRIKESGOLD (2)
SUGGESTED BET: KATHLEEN GRACE (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

FAVOURITE MISS (1)is an Art Major filly on debut for Grant Dixon and comes from the successful mare Faith Prevails that has produced the likes of FRANKIE ROCKS and FEEL THE FAITH. She lands the ace gate and has trialled in good order giving her every chance to make a winning debut.

LIFES BLACK (9) is the 1st foal to the races for the one-win mare Sweet Misty. Trained by Mark McNee the gelding did everything in good style in a recent trial when spearing out to find the front. He lands the tough gate but looks to have his share of talent.

OUR DOUG (6) found the line strongly in a trail behind FAVOURITE MISS when running into a gap in good style. By Rock N Roll Heaven he is a full brother to the three-time winner Purple Reighn. He has a tough gate but stays under notice.

JUST WON MORE (8) is the 2nd foal of the Triad winning mare Sheza Machstar. He did everything right in a recent trial and should enjoy a good trip from this gate.

SELECTIONS: FAVOURITE MISS (1), LIFES BLACK (9), OUR DOUG (6), JUST WON MORE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: FAVOURITE MISS (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

OLE SUN (1)
will take good benefit from his latest run when making his return from a spell. Settling back in the pack after stepping well from the tapes off a 40m impost he found the line strongly to be 7.5m from the winner ASTRAL RULER. With a good record from the mobile, he gets his chance.

SOUTHERN ALPS (7) returns from a spell after last start holding on for 3rd in the McNeil Series final after looking to lead throughout. He was a strong heat winner of that series and has a win here on the triangle from the tapes. The mobile start is a query however at his best is a huge threat.

JUSTABITLIKEMUM (4) was making good ground in the closing stages 2 starts back and found the line strongly to get within a neck of ASTRAL RULER. She is 1 from 1 at the mobile start and has a great record here at Redcliffe that keeps her right in the mix.

DAY TOURER (5) found the pocket trail here 2 starts back and from the passing lane arrived to land a narrow victory. Finishing top 3 in each of his past 3 runs here on the triangle, he can be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: OLE SUN (1), SOUTHERN ALPS (7), JUSTABITLIKEMUM (4), DAY TOURER (5)
SUGGESTED BET: OLE SUN (1) to win
