RACE TWO

SEA HAWKE (1) started from the 2nd line and was buried in the run in the Triad Final 3 starts back and hit the line in good order when 10m from the winner FIRST STRING. His run 2 back was full of merit when only beaten 4m after striking trouble and with the options from the gate can arrive.

LINCOLNS GIRL (10) attacked the line strongly over the mile here 2 starts back and ran some impressive closing splits in the process when 3rd to CHERRYS THE BEST. That run was franked when she rolled forward to take control last start and held on to score a tidy win. She can go close again.

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (3) scored his 1st win for the term at Redcliffe 2 starts back when leading throughout from gate 4. He fought hard from the breeze last start and can fire the early shots here.

CHERRYS THE BEST (8) has missed a cheque just once in 9 outings this season and comes into this as a last start winner after securing the perfect run in transit. She might need some luck from gate 8.

SELECTIONS: SEA HAWKE (1), LINCOLNS GIRL (10), ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (3), CHERRYS THE BEST (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SEA HAWKE (1) to win

RACE THREE

FIRST STRING (5) makes his 1st appearance since completing the Triad double where he was too strong after rolling forward to the breeze from the 2nd line to claim a 2m victory. Transferring to the Jack Butler since the win, he has trialled sharply to blow the cobwebs out and looks too smart here.

HIPSTAR (8) hit his straps nicely and went into the Triad Final last start off the back of six successive top-two finishes. Doing some early work to secure position, he fought hard in the closing stages to be within 5m of FIRST STRING. He will need some luck, but can launch when the gaps arrive.

BANGKOK BRAVADO (1) has been in the money at his past 3 starts, the latest when finding the line in good order to grab 3rd behind SOULWRITER over this same trip. With the cosy trip he can place.

BRIAN WHO (7) looked to have found his race here on Tues and was duly sent to the post as a red figure fav. Struggling to make late ground he fell 5m short. With even luck he has place hopes here.

SELECTIONS: FIRST STRING (5), HIPSTAR (8), BANGKOK BRAVADO (1), BRIAN WHO (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 5 / 1-7-8

RACE FOUR

OFFTHETOPOFMYHEAD (7)
looked to be in a great position in the pocket trail last start, until the leader hoisted the white flag and dragged him back through the field. Closing nicely once able to find space, it was a nice effort under the circumstances. The gate hurts, but this still looks within reach.

HARD TO HEAR (9) settled in the running line form this same gate last start and was making good late metres when 3rd over the mile trip. His run in a 2nd division qualifier was a nice effort 2 starts back and with the right early trail through here, can look to issue a closing challenge.

RUTHLESS ARMBRO (6) started from gate 7 last start in a qualifier and after snagging back early was trying to pick up late ground. Buried in the run 2 starts back, he won’t be far away here.

KARINYA MULLY (8) has grabbed the bronze at his past 2 in succession, the latest when he had no space and went to the line untested from the pocket trail at Marburg. He is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: OFFTHETOPOFMYHEAD (7), HARD TO HEAR (9), RUTHLESS ARMBRO (6), KARINYA MULLY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: OFFTHETOPOFMYHEAD (7) to win

RACE FIVE

PSYCHEDELIC (7) isn’t afforded any favours from this alley, however it might just prove to be a limited obstacle with some early speed inside. Snagged back from gate 6 last start when 1st up off a let-up, he ran into dead-ends. He hasn’t drawn a marble for some time, but can still cash-in here.

OFFICIANADO (2) hasn’t been closer than gate 6 at his past 7 appearances and has been forced to run home from back in the pack on each occasion. His run 2 starts back was better than the return when 10m from the winner, when wide off the track. With the improved gate he can capitalise.

JUSTARUMOUR (3) started fav last Sat night when having his 1st run for the Jack Butler barn and battled for early position and was soon near the back of the pack. Settling closer here will help.

SAMS CAM (4) makes the trip North as a travelling companion for the Xureb barn and arrives looking to break an 18-month winless streak. Not far away in recent outings, he can chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: PSYCHEDELIC (7), OFFICIANADO (2), JUSTARUMOUR (3), SAMS CAM (4)
SUGGESTED BET: PSYCHEDELIC (7) to win

RACE SIX

COREY WILLIAM (2)
was keen in the run last start when lighting the lamps over the 2138m trip and the run was strong when only 1m from the winner BUNDABURRA, with the middle-distance not his preferred option. Back to the mile, he can spear out and dictating, will give them plenty to chase.

HUGHIE GREEN (7) resumes after close to 12 months on the sidelines owing to an injury. 2 starts back he grabbed the bronze behind ALLELUIA and at his last start was wide off the track when only 6m from the winner. Sharpened with 2 trials, he will take further benefit from the run.

ROCKNROLL EMMA (4) has been kept fresh since her last appearance when finishing within a half-head of the winner. In the money at 8 of her past 9 outings, she can throw down the challenge.

CLARKEY (1) resumes from a spell and lands the perfect gate 1st up. Only beaten 3m behind SLICE OF HEAVEN 2 runs back, he opened the pipes with a sharp trial and can take the snipers shot here.

SELECTIONS: COREY WILLIAM (2), HUGHIE GREEN (7), ROCKNROLL EMMA (4), CLARKEY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: COREY WILLIAM (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

FAME ASSURED (4) will be 1st up since March 19th and has not been seen at the public trials in preparation. That run came off the back of a 31-day break, having been kept fresh after finishing down the line at Menangle. Working hard at her return, when beaten 10m, close to her best is enough to take this.

GOD SAKE (1) snagged back from gate 5 over the sprint trip here 2 starts back and was strong to the line in some sharp closing panels behind ASHKII. Not suited from back in the pack off a 2nd line gate last time out, he will enjoy the cosy trip and can look to probe the gaps when the open.

GETOUTNWALK (5) worked across from gate 3 to find the front before releasing last start in the Mares Triad Final when down the line behind RED CHARMER. Freshened since, she has place hopes.

SPEEDIE MCARDLE (3) didn’t have much early hustle last start and then when back in the pack struck trouble, ending any chance he did have. Settling handy here, a minor looks within reach.

SELECTIONS: FAME ASSURED (4), GOD SAKE (1), GETOUTNWALK (5), SPEEDIE MCARDLE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: FAME ASSURED (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

CROCODILE PRINCESS (2)
wasn’t suited last time out around the tight Marburg track and finished well down the line. Her only AP run in 5 Qld appearances was here 4 runs back when 2nd up in the state where she closed out soundly in much stronger company. She can capitalise from the gate.

WEE JIMMY (6) is racing well and last start finished best of the chasers behind GOALKICKER understanding start conditions at Marburg. A winner from the tapes 4 starts back, his Redcliffe run 2 starts back was a nice effort when finding the line nicely. This is within reach despite the gate.

WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (4) may have bene found wanting in the closing stages over the 2138m trip here 2 starts back. Much sharper over the mile last start when closing out hard, he is in the mix here.

MONUMENTAL (8) resumes from a spell and gets the right conditions 1st up. With good closing moves, he should enjoy a soft run from the 2nd line here and can be saved for 1 shot.

SELECTIONS: CROCODILE PRINCESS (2), WEE JIMMY (6), WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (4), MONUMENTAL (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CROCODILE PRINCESS (2) to win

RACE NINE

NIFTY STUDLEIGH (1)
has placed at 3 of his past 4 starts with the effort here 2 starts back suggesting a win is not far away. Doing plenty of work in the run from gate 6 he was in for the fight when within 3m of the winner JOVIAL JULIE. With his best gate for some time, he can hustle early and dictate.

SPECIAL RESERVE (2) is a consistent filly and has been in the money at 7 of her 8 appearances this season. Starting a short-priced fav last start over the sprint trip at Redcliffe, she was grabbed late and beaten 2m behind JOVIAL JULIE. Freshened since that outing, she has early options here.

MOLLYS SECRET (7) receives no favours from the wide gate, yet will be fitter following 1 run back from a break. Only beaten 2m, the run had merit under the circumstances and she can feature.

CHANCELESS CENTURY (6) has just the 2 career starts to his name, having placed in both. Finding the pocket trail from gate 4 last start, he hit the line nicely when 4m in arrears. He can place again here.

SELECTIONS: NIFTY STUDLEIGH (1), SPECIAL RESERVE (2), MOLLYS SECRET (7), CHANCELESS CENTURY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: NIFTY STUDLEIGH (1) to win
