RACE TWO

WEONA LUKE (1) faces a stark turn-around here after starting from gate 12 last start over the 2138m. Well back in the pack he was looking to track home wide out and just found the task a bit too much. Buried in the run 2 back he never saw space at all and with the ace gate can capitalise.

HUGHIES SISTER (5) tried to take them all the way here 2 starts back and hustled hard to protect the pegs and kept the speed on prior to fading in the stretch. Settling in the running line last start she finished mid-field and with even luck in transit can challenge in this line-up.

BROADWATER (2) started from the 2nd line last start and was strong to the line when only 6m from the winner. Tough from the breeze at Redcliffe 3 starts back, he will be in for the fight here.

RITCHIE BEE (4) had a shot for the lamp lighting duties last start but was repelled and then from the running line was a mid-field finisher. Luckless the start prior when stuck in traffic, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: WEONA LUKE (1), HUGHIES SISTER (5), BROADWATER (2), RITCHIE BEE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-5

RACE THREE

MISS MONEYBAGS (5) was too strong when sent to the breeze off the 2nd line to claim the fillies Triad Consolation 2 starts back. Kept fresh, she was then a passing lane 2nd from the pocket trail when only a neck from the winner ALI DOWNUNDER. Sparingly raced this season, she can take this.

RAGING INFERNO (2) will take great benefit from his last start when resuming from a break and having his 1st Qld appearance. Holding the front from gate 1, he packed too much heat in holding on to score by a neck. This is a step-up, but he will strip fitter and lands the gate to capitalise.

IM NO OUTLAW (4) rolled forward from the two-hole here 2 starts back and once in control held on to claim a comfortable victory. He was attacking the line hard last start and can challenge here.

CALL ME TRISH (6) added another placing last start to extend her streak of placings to 7. Buried in the run she was 5m from the winner RAGING INFERNO and can chime in here in the closing stages.

SELECTIONS: MISS MONEYBAGS (5), RAGING INFERNO (2), IM NO OUTLAW (4), CALL ME TRISH (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS MONEYBAGS (5) to win

RACE FOUR

GINA MACH (11)
comes up with a tough gate, yet should find this easier than recent starts. Snagged back from gate 6 last start over the 2138m trip, it was always going to be a task with ESCALERA ripping home in 27.4 from the front. With the right trip, this looks her chance for a breakthrough.

MONUMENTAL (9) will take further benefit from his latest start when 2nd up from a break. Finding the pocket trail when resuming from inside the 2nd line, he held on for the bronze and then last start was snagged back from gate 7. Finding position early, he can be swooping on them late.

SHERIFF JUJON (5) was taken back from gate 6 last start and didn’t get a clean shot in the latter stages. The start prior he was sound from well back in the pack and has claims here.

BE ON THE SLY (6) is having no luck in landing a marble and comes into this after 5 successive runs from the 2nd line. He chased soundly last start at Redcliffe behind SPONDOOLEY and can chime in.

SELECTIONS: GINA MACH (11), MONUMENTAL (9), SHERIFF JUJON (5), BE ON THE SLY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: GINA MACH (11) to win

RACE FIVE

IMA BIRUBI BOY (11) found his race last start and even from gate 10 was able to prove too strong in claiming a career best winning rate. Starting in red figures he worked home nicely to take the prize. His previous form was behind some smart performers and can look to work home off a solid tempo.

TAXI METER (1) was a Redcliffe winner 4 starts back when sent forward from gate 5 to take control and see it out for a 7m margin. Facing wide barriers in all 3 since that win, he can capitalise here.

KEY LARGO (2) resumes from a spell and comes into this without a public trial. Last seen back in Feb when forced to face the breeze, if mustering the speed to lead he will be gripping on late.

SELECTIONS: IMA BIRUBI BOY (11), TAXI METER (1), KEY LARGO (2)
SUGGESTED BET: IMA BIRUBI BOY (11) to win

RACE SIX

MAKOA (8)
was snagged back from gate 7 in an M0 event here 2 starts back and was closing out strongly in the latter stages to be under 5m from the winner. He charged home from the rear last start when 2nd to FAME ASSURED and he only needs a slice of luck to sight space to take this.

CASINO GRIN (3) did his share of early work last start when firing across from gate 6 over the 2138m. Finding cover, he faded out to be well beaten. The start prior he went within a head of victory via the passing lane behind LINCOLN ROAD and back to the mile can look to dictate.

OCEANS PREDATOR (1) found the pegs before releasing here 2 starts back and then put the bite on the up the passing lane to score in a 2nd division qualifier. His last start was sound and he has claims.

LIFEINHEAVEN (9) made the most of cheap runs to score in a career best rate over the mile here 2 starts back after scooting the sprint lane. She can look for the short-cuts again to fill the exotics.

SELECTIONS: MAKOA (8), CASINO GRIN (3), OCEANS PREDATOR (1), LIFEINHEAVEN (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

WATTLEBANK FLYER (8) will need some factors in his favour from this alley, but in a claimer that looks to be wide-open, he can look to unleash his finishing power. Charging home from the rear last start he was only 1.5m off the winner CASINO TOMMY. Beaten a half-head 3 back, he can arrive.

OUR MELS DREAM (6) is always in the mix in these claiming races and despite coming up with the wide gate here, will be in the thick of the action. Last start from gate 10 over the mile, he was charging home to get within a neck of the winner. Beaten a pimple 4 starts back, he is in the mix.

ONE WISE MAN (2) drops back to the claiming ranks after a strong effort here on Tues when facing gate 12 he was tough in finishing 9m from PINUP BOY. Able to work in his races, he is in the fight.

IDEAL SITUATION (1) went to the pegs looking for cheap runs last start and he never really worked into the contest. Using the passing lane to grab 3rd here 2 starts back, he can use the cheap runs.

SELECTIONS: WATTLEBANK FLYER (8), OUR MELS DREAM (6), ONE WISE MAN (2), IDEAL SITUATION (1)
SUGGESTED BET: WATTLEBANK FLYER (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

AQUA MISS (9)
was starting from gate 11 last start when sent to the post as fav over the mile. Looking to work home wide off the track, the closing panels made it tough for those back in the pack and chasing. A winner 2 starts back when packing too many guns up the passing lane, she can atone.

MAJOR CURRENCY (5) is knocking on the door and a win is not far away. Placed at his past 4 in succession, he was sent to the breeze last start from gate 9 over the 2138m and was in for the fight when a 2m 2nd to IM NORMA JEAN. His run 3 back was tough from gate 7 and he can challenge.

ITSADANCEOFF (9) is after a hat-trick of victories after all the way wins at Marburg and then at Redcliffe. He steps it up a notch here, but lands the gate to get a cosy trip and can strike late.

MACHIN OUT (2) was snagged back from gate 6 last start and from the rear was always going to struggle to make up the deficit over the mile. His run at 2138m 2 back was sound and he can place.

SELECTIONS: AQUA MISS (9), MAJOR CURRENCY (5), ITSADANCEOFF (9), MACHIN OUT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: AQUA MISS (9) to win

RACE NINE

TUESDAYS FELLA (4)
held 2nd here 3 starts back from the trail behind the in-form PINUP BOY and followed that with runs at the 2138m where he was only 5m from SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW and then not far from TENNYSON BROMAC. The return to the mile is a big plus and he is right in this.

VASARI (3) did plenty of work in carving out a strong opening 1200m over the 2138m here 2 starts back and fought on gamely under the circumstances. From gate 1 last start he was buried in the run with COREY WILLIAM carving it out in front and held on for the bronze. He can get amongst it here.

MAYWYNS COURAGE (9) was 1st up from a spell last start when starting from gate 12 he was wide off the track and couldn’t really get a decent shot. He can settle handy here and bunce back.

PROFICIENT (11) is racing in great touch, returning minor placings at his past 2 after recording a string win here 3 starts back when sent to the breeze from the 2nd line. He is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: TUESDAYS FELLA (4), VASARI (3), MAYWYNS COURAGE (9), PROFICIENT (11)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 3-4-9-11
