FORM ANALYSIS BY DARREN CLAYTON - @DASHMAN01

BEST BET:

R1 N8 MUSCULUS

VALUE:

R6 N1 ROCKNROLL PROMISE

UTAB QUADDIE (R6-9):

1-3-8-10 / 3-6 / 5-6-9-11 / 11

100%=$32

RACE TWO

BRONSKI MACARENA (2) has placed in 3 of 6 career appearances to date as she searches for an elusive victory. Not suited and not entirely at ease last start from the 2nd line, she struck trouble the start prior. Grabbed right on the line here 3 starts back and beaten a neck, will today be the day?

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (5) has placed in all 3 career outings and will be 1st up off a freshen here. Last seen in the Breeders Classic, he was just a bit green in the stretch and did well to angle for a run and finish 3rd to WILL THE WIZARD. Given a pipe opener at the Redcliffe trials, he can challenge.

CHEESANDKISSES (1) is a Betterthancheddar filly on debut for Shane Fraser out of his former top race mare Bangkok Dancer. With trio of handy trial outings to prepare, the gate is an advantage.

ANOTHER STATEMENT (8) will take benefit from his debut when closing out strongly from the 2nd line to be 1m off the winner SUGARKANE. With early options he can be thereabouts once again.

SELECTIONS: BRONSKI MACARENA (2), ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (5), CHEESANDKISSES (1), ANOTHER STATEMENT (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

SEA HAWKE (3) started from gate 1 over the 2138m last start and was crossed in the early stages and forced to take the pocket trail. With 500m to travel the leader hoisted the white flag and carted hi right back through the pack ending his chances. With not much luck of late, he can bounce back.

ETERNAL PROMISE (7) will be out to keep her undefeated streak in-tact after winning all 3 career starts to date. Returning from a break last start she was able to land the pocket trail in a race of early drama. Looking spent at the top of the stretch, she savaged the line to score. She is right in this despite the gate.

NAUGHTYINHEAVEN (8) will have early options as the lone 2nd line runner and can get away from the pegs if needed. Grabbing the bronze last start after looking in trouble, she can chime in here.

IFYOUBELIEVE (1) will take further benefit from his latest start when 2nd up from a spell. Forced to do plenty of work, the effort took its toll late when fading out. The gate helps here.

SELECTIONS: SEA HAWKE (3), ETERNAL PROMISE (7), NAUGHTYINHEAVEN (8), IFYOUBELIEVE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SEA HAWKE (3) to win

RACE FOUR

REDRIVERDEBBA (1)
hasn’t been able to bring her manners to the track at her past few starts, with gait breaks proving costly. She took on a much stronger contest 2 back when put out of play and last start is best forgotten. Despite the risk of her manners, this looks her chance to bounce back.

JEDDY R YA READY (5) started in red figures last start and made a mess of things early when missing away as the tapes flew. He chased gamely from the 40m tape 2 starts back to grab the silver behind MISTER OZ which followed a half-neck 2nd to the subsequent Sat night winner IM THE COMMANDO.

MATATOKI (9) broke a frustrating sequence of outs here 2 starts back when pressing forward to find the front and take control. Tough from the breeze last start, he won’t be far away here.

JETER (8) chased hard from the pocket trail 3 starts back to grab the bronze and followed that with a close-up run behind MIRACLE RISING. From the 10m tape he can be chiming in late.

SELECTIONS: REDRIVERDEBBA (1), JEDDY R YA READY (5), MATATOKI (9), JETER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: REDRIVERDEBBA (1) to win

RACE FIVE

In a tricky mid-week FFA to line them up, giving some hopes to OUR HI JINX (4) to end a winless streak that goes back over 12 months. Banished to the trials after facing an issue last start, he has come through that trial in good order and with the likelihood of a slick tempo, he is worth a chance.

WITHALOTOFLUCK (2) chased home to grab the bronze in a similar race here 2 starts back, with the 26.8 set from the front making it near impossible for anything back in the pack. Not suited from the 2nd line last start when too far back, his closing splits were exceptional and he can feature here.

OHOKA PUNTER (5) went around for the training run last start after he made a mess of the stand start in the Flashing Red, ending his chances. The mile not be his best trip, but he will be in the mix.

THE SHADY ONE (6) was given a torrid time in the stand start Flashing Red 2 starts back when stuck looking for position. He found the line strongly last start and will be swooping home hard.

SELECTIONS: OUR HI JINX (4), WITHALOTOFLUCK (2), OHOKA PUNTER (5), THE SHADY ONE (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (8)
was a scratching when down to make his Qld debut at Redcliffe 10 days ago in race where he was listed as a $1.20 fav. This race is a little tougher, but he lands the right gate to follow out the likely leader and with the soft run in transit can look to take the snipers shot.

ROCKNROLL PROMISE (1) has good early speed when used and with the benefit of the gate can look to capitalise. Angled to the pegs last start form the 2nd line, he chased home in good order to be 5m from the winner IMA BIRUBI BOY. Nabbed for 3rd right on the line 2 starts back, he can challenge.

LAUGHNG EMOJI (3) took the trail from gate 1 last start when taking on a mares only race and held on for the silver behind the leader and winner JUST DEAL IT. This looks easier and she is in the mix.

IMA BIRUBI BOY (10) faces another tricky gate after starting from gate 11 on Fri. Finding a handy position in transit, he couldn’t reel them in when finishing 3m from the winner. He can place here.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (8), ROCKNROLL PROMISE (1), LAUGHNG EMOJI (3), IMA BIRUBI BOY (10)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

CLARRY (3) may have a duck egg from his run here last week, but he had no luck whatsoever and was running into dead-ends behind them up the stretch. He has all 4 hoofs well and truly on the cash register and is just waiting to clock up the sale. He will need some factors in his favour, but this is within reach.

It was only the barrier that cost TENNYSON BROMAC (6) victory last start when aiming up to make it 4 in succession. Locked away against the pegs from inside the 2nd line he never saw space and when to the line untested when 5m from PINUP BOY. His 3 previous wins were clinical and he is the threat.

MUCH BETTOR (4) continues to chip away as the season progresses with the 3YO landing his 6th win for the term last start over the 2138m. Finishing over the top from the 1x1 trail, he has place claims here.

JUST ROKIN (1) is a good gate speed mare and from the ace lands the options. Snagged back from gate 7 last start she tracked home soundly and was luckless the start prior. She can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: CLARRY (3), TENNYSON BROMAC (6), MUCH BETTOR (4), JUST ROKIN (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 3-6 / 3-6 / 1-2-4-9

RACE EIGHT

CLASSIE AMERICAN (6)
started fav last time out and from inside the 2nd line was soon shuffled back along the pegs. Hitting the line strongly once the gaps opened, he was only 2m from the winner IM NORMA JEAN. Too strong from the breeze here 2 starts back, he looks tough to stop again here.

HAPPY FEELINGS (9) took on a mare’s event last start and was in for the fight when cutting the breeze throughout and holding on for the bronze. The start prior she was grabbed by the smart TENNYSON BROMAC late when looking to take them all the way and with even luck she goes close.

CARDLESFROMHEAVEN (5) was locked away against the markers last start and never was fully extended when probing for a gap that didn’t quite open. Finding early position are key to his hopes.

JUST DEAL IT (11) made the most of the mare only conditions last start and spearing out to take control went wire to wire. The gate makes it tricky but with even luck in the run she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: CLASSIE AMERICAN (6), HAPPY FEELINGS (9), CARDLESFROMHEAVEN (5), JUST DEAL IT (11)
SUGGESTED BET: CLASSIE AMERICAN (6) to win

RACE NINE

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (11)
finds his way into this race nicely after claiming the Flashing Red last start when taking on the FFA ranks. That was his 1st Aus start and once in control he never looked in danger. That was off the back of a sharp trial and he should be too classy even from the tough gate.

FAME ASSURED (9) shoots for the hat-trick after wins at the 2138m and then the mile. Last start from gate 7 she was sent forward and was too slick ripping home in 27.3 in claiming a 5m victory. This is a test, but she looks the biggest challenger in this line-up.

FEEL THE REIGN (1) was returning from a freshen at Redcliffe last start when able to find the pocket trail from gate 5 in a nifty piece of steering and then hold on for the bronze. The gate is his friend.

PINUP BOY (6) bounced back last start when finding the front from gate 2 and once in control kept the tempo on over the 2138m to take the prize. He faces a task here from the wide gate.

SELECTIONS: NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (11), FAME ASSURED (9), FEEL THE REIGN (1), PINUP BOY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (11) to win
