RACE TWO

Last Saturday night we saw an impressive debut from the Dixon trained GOVERNOR JUJON (4). Angled to the markers after floating out of the gate and given time to balance up before leading the one-wide line from the 900m, he sizzled home to score. With the experience he can go back-to-back.

WILL THE WIZARD (7) resumes from a let-up and has opened the pipes with a sharp trial win. Runner-up at his 1st two outings, he charged home from a long way back to open his account in the best way possible with victory in the Breeders Classic. The gate hurts but he is a smart operator.

GOOD AS IT GETS (8) set the tempo in the race claimed by Governor Jujon, opening them up in 27.7 and then beaten a half-neck in a 27.2 closer. With options off the 2nd line, he will be right in this.

A RAINBOW DIAMOND (5) made her debut with a sound effort after settling a long way back in the run before closing out nicely. That was franked with a win 2nd up and she can be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: GOVERNOR JUJON (4), WILL THE WIZARD (7), GOOD AS IT GETS (8), A RAINBOW DIAMOND (5)
SUGGESTED BET: GOVERNOR JUJON (4) to win

RACE THREE

ARNOLD (9) returned from a spell here last time out and sent to the post a red figure fav, let his supporters down when throwing his chances away with a gait break. That made it successive defeats at an odds-on quote, following his huge run at his 1st Aus start. It can it be 3rd time lucky if he can trot throughout.

GREG THE GREAT (4) went to Redcliffe last start to take on the trotters and was fired out from gate 5 to have a look for the front. Repelled, he had to face the breeze and faded late under the workload. With sharp early moves out of the machine, he can look to take control here.

GARLAND GREENE (7) has started to put it all together and has now won 4 of his past 6, and will shoot for the hat-trick here. His mobile manners and record are not great, but he can improve again.

IM THE COMMANDO (8) has hit the ground running in Qld and boasts a great record with wins in 3 of 4 appearances. This will be his 1st look at the mobile in Aus and the tricky gate makes it tough.

SELECTIONS: ARNOLD (9), GREG THE GREAT (4), GARLAND GREENE (7), IM THE COMMANDO (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

OUR DELIGHT (10)
goes in search of the hat-trick after wins over the 2138m and then the Redcliffe sprint trip. Dictating in front after crossing from gate 4 here 2 starts back, she was able to rip home in a 27.3 sizzler. A 5m passing lane winner last start, if limiting the mid-race burn, this is within reach.

TAXI METER (3) released the speed from gate 1 last start to take the pocket trail over the mile and went within a head of victory behind KEY LARGO. Not suited the start prior after doing some early work, he can look to find the pegs here and that will be the place to race in this.

TORI MAY (1) will take further benefit from her latest appearance when 2nd up from a break. A smart winner on return, she was luckless last start when buried away and can be ready to strike in this.

MATRON JUJON (8) took on a mares qualifier last start and was strong to the line to finish 4th when 9m from the winner MAMMALS MAGIC. This is an easier assignment and she can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: OUR DELIGHT (10), TAXI METER (3), TORI MAY (1), MATRON JUJON (8)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR DELIGHT (10) to win

RACE FIVE

STAR OF MONTANA (3) was narrowly beaten at his return to the track when also making his Qld debut. Crossed in the early stages he then used the passing lane when defeated a head. Luckless last start from inside the 2nd line when carted back by a tiring runner, he can bounce back with venom.

SIRIUS VICKI (2) makes her Qld debut for Jack Butler and will be 1st up in over 6 weeks. Last seen at Shepparton when closing out in good order to be 7m from the winner, her run 2 back at Melton was also a tidy effort. Sharpened with a tidy trial here on the track, she is in the mix on her return.

LITTLELIONELJAMES (8) franked the form he displayed in 2 trial outings when claiming a debut win 1st up from a break at Redcliffe last start. With a cosy trip on offer here, he can find gaps late.

SELECTIONS: STAR OF MONTANA (3), SIRIUS VICKI (2), LITTLELIONELJAMES (8)
SUGGESTED BET: STAR OF MONTANA (3) to win

RACE SIX

After a pair of heats for this final held last Friday, this final shape up as a great battle. LINCOLNS GIRL (4) was a heat winner after sitting back off a strong tempo and was able to unleash a sharp sprint to claim a career PB in a time that was almost 2 secs quicker than the other heat. With a gate advantage over her main dangers, she can sweep the series.

MISS MONEYBAGS (7) is afforded no favours from the gate but should take some benefit from her heat when claiming the silver after sent to the post as fav. A tough winner 3 starts back, look for a bounce back effort here.

IM NO OUTLAW (11) was the other heat winner when proving too tough in the breeze to claim a 2m victory. Beaten a wart the start prior when charging home, he will be around the mark again here.

TIMELESS APPEAL (10) started from this same gate in her heat and was attacking the line strongly in the closing stages when 3m from LINCOLNS GIRL. That followed a smart win and she can feature.

SELECTIONS: LINCOLNS GIRL (4), MISS MONEYBAGS (7), IM NO OUTLAW (11), TIMELESS APPEAL (10)
SUGGESTED BET: LINCOLNS GIRL (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

AQUA MISS (10) made the most of the passing lane here 3 starts back and after securing the perfect trip was too slippery up the inside. Forced to work home wide out at her next start, her latest outing had merit after being buried in the run she was then wide in the stretch. This looks her chance.

BRIAN WHO (1) took on a Young Drivers race last start and with COREY WILLIAM dictating a slick mile in front, he found the going a bit too slippery. He charged home from the rear here 2 starts back to grab the bronze in nice style and with the snipers shot can land the loot.

MAYWYNS COURAGE (12) will take further benefit from his latest run when 2nd up from a break. Chasing gamely from well back to garb the bronze in a slick mile, he can be running on late here.

MORROCH BAY (9) closed out in good order to take the prize here 3 starts back from the 2nd line and then has grabbed at a minor at his past 2. With the right run in transit he can be swooping late.

SELECTIONS: AQUA MISS (10), BRIAN WHO (1), MAYWYNS COURAGE (12), MORROCH BAY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: AQUA MISS (10) to win

RACE EIGHT

TUESDAYS FELLA (9)
did some early work last start when hunting forward from gate 4 in a sharp lead time and opening panel. Trying to make a run, the speed was too slick and he was left behind. His run over this trip 2 back was sound by TENNYSON BROMAC and with the right run arrive.

SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (1) was buried in the run here 3 starts back and hit the line in good order when 6m from the winner. That was followed with a sharp effort when only 2m away. With wide and 2nd line gates his past 4, he can look to make the most of the improved gate to capitalise here.

HARD TO HEAR (7) faces a tough gate, but last start he was closing out in good order, running a sub 55 last 800m and was making some ground while the others were gasping for air behind VASARI.

MACHIN OUT (3) settled in the 1x1 trail last start and was hitting the line in good order to grab the silver when only 2m from the winner MAJOR CURRENCY. Having an early look in this, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: TUESDAYS FELLA (9), SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (1), HARD TO HEAR (7), MACHIN OUT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: TUESDAYS FELLA (9) to win

RACE NINE

Another typically open claimer where position and tempo will be all important to the winning chances. In good touch at present if MONIVAE (5) is able to find a position cheaply will be finishing hard. He finished best to score here 2 back and followed that with a 2m 2nd here last time and looks to get his chance.

OUR MELS DREAM (4) is never far away and added another placing to his tally last time to make it 93 occasions that he has placed. Doing it tough in the breeze, he went within 5m of victory and will be close up again here.

KARLOO MAC (2) was locked away on the pegs last start at Marburg when clinging on for 3rd. With good speed out of the machine, he can fire an early shot here.

DIVAS DELIGHT (6) was able to hang tough to claim victory here 2 starts back and followed that with a sound effort from the 2nd line last start. He will be in the fight once again here.

SELECTIONS: MONIVAE (5), OUR MELS DREAM (4), KARLOO MAC (2), DIVAS DELIGHT (6)
SUGGESTED BET:
