RACE TWO

SHERIFF JUJON (4) made an early error before re-setting and getting home in good order to be under 1.5m from the winner TEARAWAY DIAMOND here 2 starts back. Making an error in the run last start his chances were ended and with an improved gate he looks to get his chance here.

SPONDOOLEY (7) had an easy trip last start but couldn’t make any closing ground in a run that was a plain at face value. Placed at his previous 3 starts in succession, including a smart effort 2 starts back, he will get the perfect trip here and can look to atone for his performance last week.

ARBIT MAJOR (9) started from gate 6 last time out and was working home wide off the track. Only 5m from the smart TROJAN BANNER 2 starts back, with the right run in transit, he can threaten.

BE ON THE SLY (8) was finding the line in good style from back in the field around the tight Armidale track last start. Only beaten a head 3 starts back, with a cheap run, he can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: SHERIFF JUJON (4), SPONDOOLEY (7), ARBIT MAJOR (9), BE ON THE SLY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SHERIFF JUJON (4) to win

RACE THREE

THE HARLEM HAMMER (7) rolled forward last start from gate 4 and was not suited when cutting the breeze over the 2138m, wilting in the latter stages. Looking to take them all the way from gate 1 here 2 starts back, the tempo was too hot when finishing 3rd. Following the likely leader, she can look to take the snipers shot.

IMA TOP TYCOON (10) is racing well at present and arrived to land a smart win here 2 starts back after being forced to roll the sleeves in the breeze. Working home from back in the pack last start, he hit the line strongly when under 5m from the winner and with some solid tempo here can challenge.

MISTERRIODEJANEIRO (1) found the front from gate 4 at AP 5 starts back and taking control was able to lead throughout to score a smart win. Since that win he hasn’t found conditions to suit but lighting the lamps here can go close.

BROADWATER (2) was in for the fight from the breeze over the 2280m trip last start when finishing 5m from the winner. Still looking for his 1st win of 2019, he won’t be too far away here.

SELECTIONS: THE HARLEM HAMMER (7), IMA TOP TYCOON (10), MISTERRIODEJANEIRO (1), BROADWATER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: THE HARLEM HAMMER (7) to win

RACE FOUR

DIAMONDSFROMHEAVEN (1)
was forced to do plenty of work from gate 6 over the AP mile last start when rolling forward to face the breeze from the walk-up. Having an early shot from gate 4 the starts prior she was only 4m from the winner in a blanket finish and with the improved gate can go all the way.

MY WINGMAN (7) made the most of conditions last start at Marburg when able to lead all the way from gate 1 when untroubled in scoring by 8m. Luckless the start prior when looking for gaps, he will get the perfect trip here and be ready to take the closing shot.

MEGIDDO (5) capitalised with the ace gate here 3 starts back when leading all the way to claim a 1780m victory. Snagged back from gate 6 last start he hit the line nicely and can feature here.

UNDERTHEKILT (8) found the tempo a bit hot last start after finding an easy trip. The start prior he arrived for a tidy win at Marburg and looking for the pegs here can return a sharper effort.

SELECTIONS: DIAMONDSFROMHEAVEN (1), MY WINGMAN (7), MEGIDDO (5), UNDERTHEKILT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: DIAMONDSFROMHEAVEN (1) to win

RACE FIVE

VANDE VELDE (6) has a top-3 strike rate of 75% here at Redcliffe with 4 of those 12 appearances returning a victory. Forced to cover plenty of the triangle here last start when unable to find position from gate 3, he wilted late under pressure. This is a big class drop and he can overcome the 6.

JACKS GAMBIT (1) was a winner here 5 starts back when making the most of the passing lane to claim a 3m win. Freshened since his last outing when forced to work hard in the breeze, he has been to the trials to sharpen and with the options from the gate will get every chance here.

BETTING BARON (4) looked to have found his race last start and from gate 9 was sent to the post as fav. Leading then 3-wide train he closed out well to grab the silver. With even luck he is in the mix.

ONE LAST ROLL (7) was stuck wide out from gate 6 last start until able to restrain and find position on the pegs. Only 5m from NEWMERELLA SHARKIE 2 starts back he will be looking for the gaps.

SELECTIONS: VANDE VELDE (6), JACKS GAMBIT (1), BETTING BARON (4), ONE LAST ROLL (7)
SUGGESTED BET: VANDE VELDE (6) to win

RACE SIX

TORQUE IS MY GIRL (2)
has been getting closer to her 1st 3YO victory and has been able to place in 5 of 7 appearances for the term. Last start from gate 4 she found the front over the sprint trip and led for nearly every metre bar the one that counted. She looks the lamp lighter and can go all the way.

MOLLY SECRET (1) resumes from a spell and lands the perfect gate to get a soft trip 1st up. A 2YO winner from the pocket trail over this trip 2 starts back, she the went to AP when only beaten 4m. With a tidy trial to prepare for the return, the cosy run will be ideal.

POINT OH FIVE (3) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon buried away in the run. Sprinting when the gaps arrived, he grabbed 2nd behind CANDYFLOSS. From the gate he can place.

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (7) found the 1x1 trail last start from gate 5 over the AP mile and was sound to the line behind ZARAS ALL GOOD. With a cheap run in transit she can be probing for openings.

SELECTIONS: TORQUE IS MY GIRL (2), MOLLY SECRET (1), POINT OH FIVE (3), DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: TORQUE IS MY GIRL (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

LITTLE BOLT (7) went to the pegs to look for luck last time out in the Triad final and was making good closing metres when 9m from the winner FIRST STRING. Not suited the start prior off the 2nd line at Armidale, he had placed his previous 3 and while needing factors in his favour is worth a chance.

OVERTHEMOON (1) was snagged back from gate 6 last start in the Triad Final and from back in the pack couldn’t work into the contest. An all the way winner here 4 starts back over this trip when running home, the last 800m in good style, he will be gripping on in the stretch here.

PRESLEYBEGOOD (8) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was angled off the pegs early and then making a 3-wide charge returned a solid effort for 2nd. With the right run in transit she can feature.

CANDYFLOSS (4) was off the 2nd line last start and with a trail home was able to chime in for 3rd place. An all the way winner 2 starts back, she can get forward here and has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: LITTLE BOLT (7), OVERTHEMOON (1), PRESLEYBEGOOD (8), CANDYFLOSS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: LITTLE BOLT (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

STRANGE CONDUCT (1)
started from outside the 2nd line at Marburg last start and made an error that cost him all chance in the race. Banished to the trials, he has earned the ticket back to the races and finds his best gate for some time. Despite the poor numbers next to his name, he can prevail.

ZED EXPRESS (5) will take benefit from his latest outing when 1t up from a spell and after sitting in the pocket trail chased home for the silver when 3m from the winner and may have been closer with space at the right time. The gate hurts but in a race with no real stand-out he is in the mix.

DASHING HANNAH (4) makes her Qld debut for Tayla Gillespie and will also be stepping out for the 1st time in 2019. She has trialled in good order here at the triangle and stays under notice.

BUKTHSYSTEM (6) was buried in the run last start and hit the line in good style once the gaps appeared to grab the bronze. A good 2nd here 3 starts back, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: STRANGE CONDUCT (1), ZED EXPRESS (5), DASHING HANNAH (4), BUKTHSYSTEM (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-5-6

RACE NINE

ARCHILLES (1)
is a Shadow Play gelding on debut for Graham Dwyer and ranks as a half-brother to Pub Blitz. He has prepared for the debut with a nice hit-out against older horses here at Redcliffe and then looked impressive winning a trial at AP. With the good gate he can make a winning debut.

GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (4) is a half-brother to the handy BOULDER CITY and is prepared by Graeme Harris. By Shadyshark Hanover, he did everything asked of him in a qualifying trial at AP when not far away from a 3YO winner. He looks set to be in the mix 1st up.

BONNIES CAM (5) is a Cammibest colt on debut for Peter Greig that trialled in good order where he showed good speed from the mobile. A full brother to the eight-time winner ARTFUL MAID, he stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: ARCHILLES (1), GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (4), BONNIES CAM (5)
SUGGESTED BET:
