Winter Carnival sponsors TAB have opened the James Cummings-trained Trekking as a $6 favourite to take Saturday's Group 1 Kingsford-Smith Cup (1300m) at Eagle Farm.

Trekking arrives in Brisbane off a last-start win in the Listed Luskin Star Stakes at Scone, where the four-year-old gelding beat Brave Song by 0.8L.

Doomben 10,000 winner The Bostonian and G2 Victory Stakes winner I Am Excited hold down the second line of betting at $8.50.
