RACE TWO

GODOFTHUNDER (3) has not had 4 starts since returning from a spell and has shown improvement at each hit out. Stepping to the front last start over the 2647m trip, he led deep into the stretch before being grabbed and landing in 3rd. The 2138m off the front tape suits and he gets his chance.

MAJESTIC SIMON (10) could not go with them in the latter stages last start and was in the second half of the pack from his 50m impost as FLINGANDWINGIT took the prize. Shooting for a hat-trick in that event, he scored from 30m over this trip 2 runs back and can be challenging hard again here.

KINGDOM COME (7) looks well placed under these conditions having been faced with 30m handicaps at his past 3 starts against similar fields. With even luck in transit, he can feature.

BLAZING UNDER FIRE (8) returns from a break after being banished to the trials at his only Qld start back on March 6. He has had some tractability issues, but if the manners arrive, so can he.

SELECTIONS: GODOFTHUNDER (3), MAJESTIC SIMON (10), KINGDOM COME (7), BLAZING UNDER FIRE (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

PRESS STATEMENT (2)
returns to start his 3YO season and has trialled twice in readiness for the return. Shut down last season after 4 starts that returned a victory at his 4th outing when leading throughout at Redcliffe, he was strong to the line here 2 starts back. He strikes a winnable race fresh.

MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (7) has no favours from the outside alley but can bring race fitness over the some of the other main players. Firing off the gate to lead 2 starts back from gate 5 when 1st up from a spell, he was not interested in the lead from gate 4 last start when releasing. He can challenge.

RAINBOW JET (4) is another 3YO stepping out for the 1st time this season, bringing a last start Redcliffe win in September. With a sound trial behind PRESS STATEMENT to prepare, he is in the mix.

GLENLEDI COMMANDER (5) will take further benefit from his latest start when 3rd up from just on 2 years off the scene. The gate makes it tricky but can chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: PRESS STATEMENT (2), MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (7), RAINBOW JET (4), GLENLEDI COMMANDER (5)
SUGGESTED BET: PRESS STATEMENT (2) to win

RACE FIVE

DELIGHTFUL REASON (4) set the speed from gate 3 here 3 runs back and from the front was only grabbed in the closing strides. Forget her next start when striking trouble, she bounced back here on Friday when settling in the 1x1 trail and then finishing hard over the top to score. A repeat is within reach.

DON HESTON (1) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon pegged away and needing some luck as HES SWEET was allowed to roll to the front and dictate. Beaten by a wide gate the start prior behind subsequent winner CHAMONIX, the improved gate is a big plus, and he gets his chance.

NOT THE KINGSWOOD (8) was 2nd up from a spell last start when sent around them from gate 10 in the early stages. In for the fight, he was only 3m from the winner HES SWEET. With an economical trip he can make a play.

SHEZ ALL STYLE (9) is not having much luck in landing a barrier in recent starts, the latest when retreating from gate 7 as TALENT TO SPARE had everything chasing. With the right trial she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: DELIGHTFUL REASON (4), DON HESTON (1), NOT THE KINGSWOOD (8), SHEZ ALL STYLE (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

DANCE IN THE SUN (9)
was given a lone run back in February where she was able to find the front from gate 3 and lead throughout to a comfortable 9m victory. A winner at 4 of her 6 starts, she is a talented filly and although tackling this fresh without a trial, her class can get her home.

LILLIES (2) fired off the arm from gate 3 here 2 starts back in an APG 3YO heat and set the speed only to be grabbed by AUNTY BELLA in the latter stages. Again, trying to pinch it in front last start, it took JASPER the entire stretch to get to her. With the early bullets to fire, she will be gripping on again.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (6) rolled forward from gate 4 last start and pressing on to find the front was able to take them all the way to claim the prize. Luckless the start prior when searching for gaps, he has podium claims here.

VANISH HANOVER (4) was completely luckless here last start after being buried in the run from gate 1. Approaching 12 months since her last victory, she can be thereabouts again here.

SELECTIONS: DANCE IN THE SUN (9), LILLIES (2), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (6), VANISH HANOVER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: DANCE IN THE SUN (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

MY ULTIMATE BAXTER (4)
faces a big rise here after winning on debut last week to tackling older and more experienced horses second-up. Attacking the line in nice order last week to claim victory against the two-year-old’s, this is a rise, but he looks to have the class to make the play.

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (1) did some early work last start before cover arrived when finishing midfield behind MAYWYNS JEWEL. Trying to work home from a rearward position the start prior, the gate advantage is a big plus and with the options here can look to make a challenge.

LITTLELIONELJAMES (9) was sent forward to the breeze last start and after working hard in the run faded out. Holding on for 3rd the start prior, he has podium claims in this line-up.

LANCELOT BROMAC (5) is at the other end of the scale to the horse starting next to him, lining up here for career start 413. Working home soundly for the bronze last start, he is never too far away.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE BAXTER (4), NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (1), LITTLELIONELJAMES (9), LANCELOT BROMAC (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE BAXTER (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

MAJOR FERNCO (3)
started in red figures last time out from gate 1 over the mile and setting the early speed at the expense of a 26.4 opening panel, the chamber was empty a fair way from home. Freshened since that run, he has trialled sharply in readiness for the return, and he can look to atone.

ETERNAL PROMISE (9) resumes from a break, having placed in her past 2 starts, the most recent when a beaten favourite behind COOL AND CALCULATING in a mare’s qualifier. Opening the pipes with a nice trial at Redcliffe, she can look to get the right trail to challenge.

VIENNA BOY (10) did not have much go his way 2 starts back from gate 7 when retreating and then searching for luck on the way home. Finding a suitable assignment on Friday, he was able to finish over the top to claim the prize and can chime in again here.

VIRGIL (8) was sent to the breeze from the 2nd line last start over the 2138m and could not cope when fading to trail them in. Finding the line in nice order the start prior when 1st up, he can be sharper here.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR FERNCO (3), ETERNAL PROMISE (9), VIENNA BOY (10), VIRGIL (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR FERNCO (3) to win

RACE NINE

A Tricky race here where the looks an abundance of early speed. He will need some luck to get the right position in transit, but HENRY HU (8) might just be the knockout. Taken back form gate 7 last start he was wide making a challenge but just not completely comfortable wide on the bend, sticking to the inside look for him late.

LETTERKENNY BOY (6) has had 2 starts at Redcliffe since resuming from a spell for the new stable and not much has gone his way in either appearance. From inside the 2nd line last start, he needed the gaps sooner when making a late play to be 5m from the winner. The gate stings but some early heat should help.

DATITUDE (1) was hustling off the arm last week but could not muster the speed to hold out JUMPING JACK JIMMY. Beaten a neck behind that leader and winner, he will be burrowing through again to hold position.

LEFT A TERROR (2) has 2 wins in his past 3 starts, the latest when leading throughout over this trip from gate 1. Releasing the start prior over the mile, limiting the early burn can see him feature.

SELECTIONS: HENRY HU (8), LETTERKENNY BOY (6), DATITUDE (1), LEFT A TERROR (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

JUSTA LITTLE BIT (11) has no favours from the 2nd line but that might just mean some more cream on the price as he looks to go 2 from 2 this Northern campaign. Taking the early advantage last start, he then took the trail on BIG WHEELS before making the closing shot a winner. Fitter from the run, he can arrive.

FRONTLINER (2) went straight to the front from this alley 2 runs back and was able to hold on for victory at the mile. Looking to take them all the way last time out, he could not see it out as the subsequent winner CHAMONIX arrived over the top. The gate is a big plus but the distance a query at his 1st attempt at the trip.

SHES MISS DEVINE (1) has the options from this alley and has been in nice touch since resuming, hitting the board in all 4 starts at Redcliffe. Leading throughout last start, tackling this level will be a litmus test.

CHAINLINC (5) fired off the arm last start before taking the trail and was best of the chasers behind the star on the rise MANILA PLAYBOY. Charging late to arrive 2 starts back, he has podium claims again.

SELECTIONS: JUSTA LITTLE BIT (11), FRONTLINER (2), SHES MISS DEVINE (1), CHAINLINC (5)
SUGGESTED BET: JUSTA LITTLE BIT (11) to win
