RACE TWO

STREET APPEAL (7) started from gate 6 here last start when resuming from a spell at his 1st outing for the new barn. Pressing on to take control, a 2nd panel breather aided his cause, and he was able to see it out. Fitter from the run, the gate hurts but he can press forward again to hunt for a threepeat.

MUCH BETTOR (1) was a Redcliffe winner 5 runs back when finishing over the top of them off a cosy trip in behind the speed. Runner-up here at his past 2 starts over this trip, he used the passing lane last start from this same gate when chasing but coming up short behind STREET APPEAL. He can go close again.

JERADAS DELIGHT (10) has been runner-up at her past 2 starts, the latest when closing hard to be within a half-head of the winner GOLIGHTLY. Only 2m from SCARLET BABE the start prior, look for her charging home.

CLARKEY (8) eased from gate 3 last start and in the wash-up was soon pegged away near the tail before closing out smartly. At his best when saved for a closing shot, he will be probing the gaps.

SELECTIONS: STREET APPEAL (7), MUCH BETTOR (1), JERADAS DELIGHT (10), CLARKEY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-7-8-10

RACE THREE

MOHS EM DOWN (11)
will be requiring some tempo to assist his chances from the tough gate. Pressing on to find the front over this trip 2 starts back, he was able to see it out with 3m to spare over his nearest rival. Not much was in his favour last start from gate 6 but he can turn it around here.

KATAMACH (1) will be resuming from spell and will be stepping out in Qld for the 1st time after joining the Vicki Rasmussen yard. Last seen back in February at Bathurst when runner-up to ALTA DOWNS, the longer trip 1st up is a query but she lands the options from this alley to challenge.

KANYE CRUSADER (6) is racing in great touch without much really going his way, placing at 3 of his past 4 starts. 5m in arrears of the winner last start from the 2nd line, he will be in the mix again here.

ROCKN BRUSHGROVE (10) is still a maiden here at The Creek after 10 attempts and is dealt no favours from the 2nd line. Fitter following a first up Redcliffe win in smart time, he can be chiming in here.

SELECTIONS: MOHS EM DOWN (11), KATAMACH (1), KANYE CRUSADER (6), ROCKN BRUSHGROVE (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

ADRENALINE RUSH (1) has been tackling mare’s qualifiers in recent starts without much luck along the way with a mixture of transit and gate issues. Gate 7 was her undoing last start when forced to retreat and then was hitting dead-ends when searching for open road. From the gate, this is her chance to breakthrough.

ROYAL OBSESSION (7) made a first take error last start that sees him banished to the outside draw. Buried in the run at the retake, he was slicing between them in a tidy effort to grab the bronze behind BIG WHEELS. Landing gate 10 his previous 3 in succession, he can make a play for the prize.

DESPONDENT (4) eased to secure position last start and was soon at the rear of the pack and with it all ahead of him. Hitting the line in some nice closing splits, he can settle handy enough to feature.

ONLYSBEST (8) has been sparingly raced and comes into this contest off a freshen following a victory over the Redcliffe 1780m. A winner at 5 of his 10 starts, he flushed the pipes with a smart preparatory trial and will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: ADRENALINE RUSH (1), ROYAL OBSESSION (7), DESPONDENT (4), ONLYSBEST (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ADRENALINE RUSH (1) to win

RACE SIX

WHATTA GOOD REASON (4)
started from the 2nd line last start when 3rd up since resuming and did not have the smoothest passage yet was still not too far from the winner HES SWEET. Strong to the line in the closing stages the start prior to grab the bronze when 1m away, this looks well within reach.

HIGH ON MONTANA (5) was luckless from inside the 2nd line over the 1780m at Redcliffe 3 starts back when searching for space and followed that when trying to make closing ground from gate 9 here over the mile. Gate 6 was his undoing last start and even though the alley is again a little tricky, he can make a play.

SWEET LOMBO (10) has placed in 2 of his 4 starts at this track but faces a stern test from the 2nd line. Last start from gate 1 he tried to take them all the way but could not see it out as CHAMONIX took the cash. In this line-up he has claims.

GET READY TO ROCK (6) eased from gate 5 over the Redcliffe sprint trip last time out but was not match for the leader and winner FEEL THE THRILL. The gate stings again and place appears best.

SELECTIONS: WHATTA GOOD REASON (4), HIGH ON MONTANA (5), SWEET LOMBO (10), GET READY TO ROCK (6)
SUGGESTED BET: WHATTA GOOD REASON (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

LITTLEDEE (4)
took the pocket trail from gate 1 last time out but did not have the space to get into the gaps when needed, finishing midfield. Too tough from the breeze here 2 starts back, she can look to press forward in the early stages here and looks to have found a contest no harder than her last win.

RANCHO MAN (6) eased from gate 5 to find the poles last start at Marburg and from the rear was always facing a task as DOLLARBILL had the pace on out in front in scoring in track record time. Closing strongly for the silver from the 2nd line here 4 starts back, this does not look out of reach.

MELTON MAX GENTLE (5) settled rearward from the 2nd line at Redcliffe 2 starts back before making a strong challenge to arrive for the prize. Yet to hit the board in 4 attempts here at The Creek, he can join in here.

BEEJAYS DELIGHT (7) has no favours from the outside paint but has been running some handy races of late with placings in 4 of his past 5 attempts. A beaten fav when 2nd from the back row last start, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: LITTLEDEE (4), RANCHO MAN (6), MELTON MAX GENTLE (5), BEEJAYS DELIGHT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LITTLEDEE (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

MISTY CREEK (3)
made his debut from gate 10 when angled to the fence early to get the economical trip. Catching the eye when attacking the line strongly over the concluding stages when slicing between runners, he grabbed the silver behind subsequent winner MY ULTIMATE BAXTER. He looks up to this.

R ELEVEN ART (2) was making his first race outing in the same event where MISTY CREEK was charging through the pack. Eased from gate 5 to secure position, he was too far back when the pace went on to make a dent on the deficit and with the improved alley will get a chance to challenge.

GOTTA GO MILKING (8) started from gate 7 last start when sent forward and working hard in transit was in for the fight to hold on for the bronze. Runner-up to CAT KING COLE 2 starts back, the 2nd line options are a plus.

IMA CHICK MAGNET (5) makes his race debut for Graham Dwyer and is a Changeover gelding that has trialled soundly. The gate is not ideal, but he stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: MISTY CREEK (3), R ELEVEN ART (2), GOTTA GO MILKING (8), IMA CHICK MAGNET (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

OKANAGAN (3) is a four-time winner and brings the most fitness to this contest after 3 runs back from this campaign. Stepping to the front here on Tuesday, he was trying to see it out but was overpowered by his more experienced rivals in the closing stages. Back to his own age, he has a firm grip on the prize.

HURRIKANE SPIRIT (6) did plenty wrong in both 2YO campaigns but also showed some ability along the way that saw him record a win here 3 starts back over this trip. He has trialled in nice order in readiness for the return and if he manages to trot cleanly throughout, can look to throw down the challenge.

IGNITE (5) should take some benefit from his return on Tuesday when 1st up since December. Not that far in arrears of the winner IM THE COMMANDO, he closed out last season with a win over this trip and stays in the mix.

SELECTIONS: OKANAGAN (3), HURRIKANE SPIRIT (6), IGNITE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: OKANAGAN (3) to win
